Ronald narrowed his eyes and didn't reply for a long while. He merely smoked in silence.

It felt like it was just yesterday where he was standing at the gates of the orphanage, waiting for a small figure.

"Jenna," he whispered.

In the quiet of night, his deep and aloof voice broke through the silence. "Why would Matteo even eye that place?" he quizzed.

Bronson mustered a lazy grin. "He probably found something he could use on you and wants to seize the opportunity to dig up more dirt on you now. Since he wanted a chat with me, he must've anticipated that I'd let you in on the news," he replied in his usual laid-back tone.

"How come he's so idle now? Why's he looking into my affairs?" he asked in a chilly tone.

"I suppose he'll continue to be this idle as long as his father is still alive," Bronson quipped.
