Ch40: Maria

Daniel: Why are we in the forest again?

Mia: Yeah.. It's already been an hour.. ball starts in 2 hours.

Me: I know I know just.. let me.. okay.

I stand closing my eyes.

Unknown person: Come with me.

I couldn't recognise the voice.. but when I opened my eyes I found Daniel standing infront of me and Mia by his side.

It's Martin.

The person whom I came here for in the first place.

Daniel tried to find about him but all he got was that a few years ago he was hired by his father himself.. which screams suspicious itself.

Martin: Don't worry, I am not gonna harm her.. that was something, nevermind.. let's just go.

Daniel: As if I am gonna let you hurt her *scoffs*

Mia: How can we trust you?

She says before he turns around.

Martin takes out a chain and hands it to Mia, she tries to figure out but doesn't get it.

How was I able to see it? Well I just somehow managed to.

Mia: What is this?

Martin: Give it to her. It's the proof.

Mia was about to give it but Daniel stopped her but I told him that it's okay.

I hold the necklace.. and there's.. there's a message.

Daniel: ALEXIA! *His voice blurred*

*The message*

Maria... I could see her.

Maria: I know you have questions.. come to me dear.. I might not have all the answers but I would like to help you just as much as I can. Follow him. I sent him. Neither him nor me mean any harm to you. Follow him, dear.

And that's it..

When I open my eyes.. I find myself on Daniel's laps and Daniel on the ground.

Daniel: Are you okay?

He was worried.

Me: I am fine *smile*

He still looks at me worriedly.

I get up and so does he.

I see Mia holding Martin hostage.

Me: Let him go.. he's just here to take us to her. He means no harm, atleast not right now. It was just a message.

She lets him go and comes to me.

Mia: You're okay right?

Me: Yes.. I am okay *smile*

I could sense Daniel shooting daggers towards Martin.. half of the reason was that, he (Martin) looked down nervously.

I turned around to face Daniel.

Me: I am really okay *chuckling* Stop scaring the kid.

He looks at me and then at him and then at me.

Daniel: Fine *sigh*

And then so we follow Martin.

He leads us to a shady cottage.. I am sure Daniel and Mia would've had a lot of debating material on why we shouldn't enter it but we have to and they know it too.

And that's what we do..
