Chapter 8

Epsilon rode Drew's Range Rover Sport going to Chase's residence. Drew of course, is on the driver seat. Beside him is Dylan. Chase and Lou are at the middle seats while Shawn and Spencer are at the back seats.

"Senior, where did you stayed before? We haven't seen you when we were meeting with Lieutenant General Garcia." Dylan asked.

"After graduation, I stayed at City L. Since then, I served in the military there." Chase answered.

"Why did you decide to stay here and be part of Epsilon?" Lou asked looking intently at him.

"Something happened." Chase answered. Drew looked at him and their eyes met. Drew was the one who withdrew her eyes first.

"What happened? Lou asked curiously.

"In time, you'll know." Chase said. Sensing that Chase don't want to talk about it anymore, Lou stopped asking.

Finally, they arrived at the house. Drew parked the car and all of them went outside. Henry and Mildred welcomed them. The Epsilon members saluted Henry but the latter told them to be at ease since they are not working.

"Hello, dear!" Mildred said while embracing Drew tightly.

"I thought you miss me?" Chase asked faking his sulking.

"Yeah, I miss you but I know you will not allow me to hug like this because you're with your friends." Mildred said. The team can't avoid smiling.

"Let's come inside. It's almost lunch." Henry said.

Drew decided to help Mildred in preparing the table while the rest are chitchatting with Henry.

"Is she the girlfriend of Chase?" Mildred asked. Drew knew who Mildred was pertaining to and it was Lou.

Drew noticed it, ever since Chase came to be part of Epsilon, Lou is trying her best to get his attention. She's always at his side whenever or wherever the man go.

"I don't know, Auntie. But as far as I know, Lou is still single. She'll tell me immediately if she had a boyfriend or a suitor." Drew said.

"That's great! I have someone in mind that I want to be my daughter-in-law in the future." Mildred said looking meaningfully at Drew but the latter didn't notice it because she was busy preparing the plates and cutleries.

When Drew and Mildred were done, they called the others to eat.

During lunch, Lou is serving dishes to Chase and she earned teasing from her teammates. Drew was busy chatting with Mildred and Henry and she didn't notice Chase's glances at her.

Lunchtime was over and Drew volunteered to do the dishes. Mildred and Henry pulled the team to their porch to enjoy a warm tea.

Drew was fully occupied with her dishwashing activity and she didn't noticed Chase.

"I will help you." Chase said that made Drew surprised and the glass she's holding slipped on her hands causing it to fall and break. Because she's only wearing shorts, the glass directly hit her legs causing it to bleed.

The people came inside when they heard the noise.

"What happened?" Mildred asked.

"I was startled when he spoke. The glass slipped on my hand." Drew explained.

"You're bleeding." Mildred said.

"That's okay, Auntie. I will clean it la...what the fuck? Put me down!" Drew said. Chase carried her without her permission. Because her hands were wet and filled with soap, she can't stop the man in carrying her.

"I can walk! Put me down!" Drew said with her leader tone. Chase only looked at her with warning in his eyes.

"If you will not stop blathering, I will drop you in an instant. Drew looked down and if Chase will drop her, it will really pained her behind. Drew kept quite.

The rest of her team looked at each other. Lou felt jealousy because she saw how caring Chase with Drew. The three men smiled. The lioness met her tiger.

"Mom, where's the first aid kit?" Chase asked.

"Oh, I'll get it." Mildred said.

"Let's go outside, Chase can do it himself." Henry said.

The Epsilon members nodded. Before Lou close the door, she looked at the two with sadness in her eyes.

"Stay still." Chase said putting Drew on his bed.

"We can stay at the living room, why did you bring me here?" Drew said.

"It's more comfortable here." Chase said.

Drew's eyes roamed around Chase's room. It was clean and very well organized. A simple bed in neutral colors, but subtly spiced up with bold accent. Sleek, simple, and sophisticated interior design where functions reigns supreme.

"Come, let's wash your legs." Chase said pulling Drew up.

When Drew stood up, she felt pain and loss her balance. Chase was startled and both of them fell to the floor.

Chase hit the floor first and Drew was above her. Chase yelp.

"Sorry, are you ok?" Drew asked worriedly.

"Yes, don't worry about me. The pieces of the broken glass are still in your legs. We should cleanse it so I can see it clearly later before removing it." Chase said.

"Chase, here's the..." Mildred wasn't able to finish her sentence because she saw the position of his son and Drew that made the latter blushed.

"Sorry, my fault." Mildred said.

"Auntie, it's not what you think." Drew said trying to stand but can't do it because of the pain in her leg.

"Mom, help her, please." Chase said that made Mildred walked towards them.

"What happened?" Mildred asked. Drew is now sitting on the edge of the bed. Chase adjusted his body and sat on the floor.

"I lost my balance when I stood up so we both fell." Drew explained and Mildred nodded.

Chase stood up and again carried Drew towards the bath.

"Hey, you can just guide me. Your back is still in pain." Drew said.

"You're too light to carry. It's like carrying a baby." Chase said smiling at Drew.

"Excuse me, the last time I weighed, I became 49 kilograms from 47 kilograms." Drew said proudly.

"So you're still malnourished." Chase continuously teasing Drew.

Mildred can't stop giggling from their behind.

"This is the start. I can't wait to see more." She said inwardly.

Chase put down Drew at the edge of the tub. Still holding her hands, he opened the faucet.

"Can you move your leg here?" Chase asked and Drew nodded.

Chase carefully washed her legs with soap and water and then dried it. After thoroughly cleaning the affected area, he carried her again back to his bed.

"Lay down so you'll be comfortable." Chase said. Drew nodded.

"Think you can handle the pain?" Chase asked worriedly.

"Of course, how can I be the leader of Epsilon if I can't handle just this." Drew said proudly.

Chase smiled and begun removing the pieces of the glass. After he's done, he cleaned the wounds with hydrogen peroxide and betadine. Drew hesitated to put gauze, "These are only small wounds." She said.

Chase and Drew went outside the room and joined the rest at the porch. Drew noticed Lou's quietness.

"Lou, can you accompany me at the restroom?" Drew asked. It was only an excuse so that she can talk to her friend.

"What's the matter?" Drew asked.

"Huh, nothing." Lou said.

"I know you, Lou. We've been friends for a long time. You can't hide anything from me." Drew said and Lou sighed.

"I had a crush..." Lou said. Drew smiled.

"It's Chase, right?" Drew asked.

"Yeah, but, I think, he likes someone now. I denied it before. I thought it was only respect but as I observed a while ago, it's not." Lou said in low spirit. Drew creased her forehead.

"Who is it?" Drew asked innocently. Lou rolled her eyes and laughed.

"You're our Alpha, a sniper, a fighter but a fool." Lou said still laughing.

"What?" Drew asked raising her brow.

"Since you're my best friend, I'm giving him to you." Lou said.

"What are you saying?" Drew asked. Lou sighed.

"Chase likes you!" Lou said. Drew was dumbfounded.
