Chapter 2

Epsilon... a group of elite marksmen and snipers assembled to specialize in high-risk tasks. It is made up of five chosen people.

Alpha...Drew Bautista

Bravo...Dylan Montenegro

Charlie...Lou Gomez

Delta...Shawn Arevalo

Echo...Spencer Tan

Alpha and Bravo, the first and second in command. They were all snipers but Alpha and Bravo were the best among the five members. They are sharp shooters, undergone rigid training in combat fighting but Alpha told them not to kill their targets unless it's badly needed.

"Even if, they are criminals still, they are humans too." Alpha said during their first meeting.

Drew did some researches before recruiting her team and she's not regretting her choices because in every mission they

did together, there's a 99% completion. It was only the first time someone got hurt and it was her.

Drew lost her mother when she's in high school. Her parents are both soldiers and have high ranks in the military. Because her mother is a soft hearted one like her, she was backstabbed by a criminal she didn't kill. On her mother's grave, she promised that she'll be like her. Tough in the inside but soft at the outside.

Even though, Frank Bautista, Drew's father, didn't want her to join the military, she persuaded him, promising she'll not be hurt. But today, she's sure that her dad will scold not only her but the whole Epsilon team.

Outside the military hospital, three Mercedes-Benz GL450 parked in front of the place. Men in black hurriedly lined up beside the second car. General Frank Bautista came out. The men in black saluted. They all walked towards the entrance and just like the men in black, the staffs of the hospital saluted the general coming in.

General Frank Bautista, the highest ranking official of the military. He started from the bottom but because of his perseverance, he climbed the top.

The Epsilon members saluted too even though they were perspiring because of nervousness.

"Good job!" General Bautista said that made the Epsilon members felt a little relaxed. "But because your leader got shot, your salary will be deducted." The General continued. The Epsilon members sighed. "It was the first time and I hope there will be no second time because if that will be the case, your team will be dismantle. Is that clear?" The General asked seriously.

"Sir yes, Sir." The Epsilon team spoke at once still saluting to their General.

When General Bautista entered the room where Drew is being treated by her cousin, the people felt relieved. The man still wore an authorative aura though he had aged.

Amira smiled to her uncle seeing the man entered the closed room where she removed the bullet on Drew's shoulder.

Drew fell asleep because of the effect of the anesthesia injected to her. She had to inject her to make her calm.

"How is she?" The man softened his face as he looked at her daughter.

"She's fine, Uncle. The bullet was not deep because of her armor. But she still needs to put an arm sling to avoid movement. But you know, it will stop her doing her missions if one comes." Amira said.

"Yeah, your cousin is really a pain in my ass." General Bautista said smiling.

"She'll wake up soon. Do you want coffee?" Amira asked. The man nodded but before he left, he gave a kiss on her daughter's forehead.

"Come with us." General Bautista said calling the Epsilon members.

Because it was a military hospital, all the doctors, nurses, aids and even the lowest staffs were from the military. They all saluted to their chief whenever he will pass on their stations.

"How come that your Alpha had been hurt? You trained well and even succeeded in all your missions then in just a little kidnapping incident, she was shot?" General Bautista was not angry but the Epsilon members became stiffened.

"Sir, she protected the victim." Lou said. General Bautista sighed.

"She's really like her mother, she'll sacrifice herself just to save others." General Bautista said with sadness in his voice.

"Uncle, Drew is a strong woman. Even though, you're her dad, you know she will do anything to save lives." Amira said.

"Yeah. I think I have to consider the advice of Lieutenant General Garcia." General Bautista said that made Amira and the Epsilon members creased their forehead.

..........

A man in his casual wear was sitting on the couch inside his father's office, Lieutenant General Henry Garcia. He was intently looking on a picture of a lady.

"She's the daughter of our General. And currently the leader of Epsilon." Lieutenant General Garcia said to his son. "The General is planning to assign a bodyguard for her." His son raised his brow.

"She's an elite. Why does she needs a bodyguard? She can protect herself." The son said.

"Recently on a mission, she was shot because she protected the victim. She's a woman and you know every women though, tough in the outside they still have a soft spot." Lieutenant General Garcia explained. "You're on an indefinite leave so why don't you try doing an errand while thinking if you'll continue serving the country or protecting a high ranking official." Lieutenant General Garcia continued.

"I'll think about it." The son said.

"Okay, General Bautista will still discuss it with her daughter. I'll inform you. Don't accept anymore mission." Lieutenant General Garcia said and his son nodded.

..........

Drew was discharged from the hospital the next day and of course, she didn't stay in their house but instead she stayed in their camp. Her dad was hesitant at first but when the Epsilon members guaranteed him that they will take care of her, he accepted his defeat.

"Why do you have to stay here? You have your nanny and butler in your house that will serve you." Lou asked while cooking for Drew.

"I will be bored to death in there. At least here, I have you and the rest. Dad is always in his office. We only see each other before and after our mission." Drew said looking at Lou's stirring the soup. "Where are the three musketeers?"

Drew asked looking around.

"They must be resting." Lou said.

"Is today your schedule?" Drew asked and Lou nodded.

They have their schedules in cooking, cleaning and even for their training.

Their camp was a two storey house. It was built only for them. It has five bedrooms and one extra bedroom for some unexpected visitors. The camp was completed with all the facilities and supplies they needed. Gym, an outside and inside firing and shooting ranges, and a storage for their equipments.

The door bell ranged and the two ladies looked at each other. They weren't expecting visitors. Drew walked towards the door and peeped outside. Drew raised her brow seeing a handsome hunk outside their gate. Lou followed her and became curious.

Drew's phone rang. "Chase Garcia will be coming over. He will be the sixth member of Epsilon." General Bautista said.

"What!? When did you decide about my team, Dad?" Drew asked annoyingly.

"If you don't want him, then Epsilon will be dismiss." General Bautista said seriously.

"Okay, Dad. But before I'll accept him, I'll assess him." Drew said wearing a wicked smile. Lou shaked her head seeing Drew.

"Sure! No problem but whatever task you'll give to him, I know he will succeed." General Bautista said.

"We'll see, Dad, we'll see." Drew said and ended the call.

"Call them, we'll see if this hunk have the guts to be one of the Epsilon." Drew said to Lou.
