Chapter 24

Chase and Drew were both panting because of the kiss they've shared. Chase touched Drew's swollen lips and smiled because of the redness of her face. He kissed her forehead and helped her get down.

Drew, because of embarrassment, walked hurriedly and laid at the couch covering herself with the blanket. Chase is smiling looking at her.

"Don't you want to lay beside me? The bed is big and can accommodate us both." Chase said while sitting at the edge of his bed.

"I'll sleep here." Drew answered shortly. Chase just shrugged his shoulders.

Because of tiredness, they both fell into deep slumber. At midnight, Chase woke up and saw Drew. He rose up from his bed and walked towards the couch. Without thinking of his wound, he carried Drew to his bed.

Drew had a big stuffed toy bear in her bedroom. Without realizing that she was in the hospital, she moved and hug her bear. When it touches her face, she felt warm.

Chase was startled when Drew suddenly hug her. Her face was on his chest and her hands were on his waist. Chase wanted the feeling of Drew's body on his so instead of pushing her back, he embraced her too. Chase kissed her forehead and fell asleep again.

Amira was done on her morning rounds and the last patient she'll see is Chase. She was with the nurse on duty when she opened the door of Chase's suite room. Amira's eyes went wide seeing an intimate view infront of her. The nurse wasn't suprise at all.

"You can go back now. I'll just write my order later." Amira said and the nurse immediately understood what the doctor is saying.

Chase felt that there was someone inside the room beside them and when he opened his eyes, the smiling Amira was standing at the edge of the bed.

"My nurse told me that she wasn't able to get your vital signs. Now, I know." Amira said and Chase smiled while scratching his head.

Drew felt refreshed because she had a relaxing sleep. She tightly embraced her bear but it felt different. Her bear is soft while the bear she's embracing is kinda soft but hard as well. And the smell, her bear smelled like the usual stuffed toy but the bear she's embracing smelled like...like... Chase???

Amira laughed while Chase was startled. It's early morning and his down below is making a flag ceremony. When Drew tighten the embrace, it did stood more proudly.

Drew opened her eyes and was shocked seeing Chase.

"Why are you here? Why am I here?" Drew said in puzzlement. Amira laughed harder.

"You're in the hospital my dear cousin." Amira said.

Drew finally realized the sequence of events and hurriedly jumped off the bed.

"I remember, I slept on the couch, when did I? How did I?" Drew asked.

"Did I sleepwalk?" Drew said not believing herself.

Chase laid on his side to cover his erection.

"Yeah, you did sleepwalk. You laid beside me and hugged me as if you're afraid to lose me. I can't do nothing because I don't want to wake you up." Chase said smiling handsomely. Drew was still puzzled.

"We did sleep together, did I sleepwalk at those times?" Drew said asking Amira. The latter only shrugged her shoulders.

"My poor body, it was crushed, it was squeezed, it was nibbled." Chase said stroking his chest. Amira giggled and Drew gave him an angry squint. Drew walked towards the washroom stomping.

"You're wound will not heal immediately if you will be a hardheaded one, Mr. Chase Garcia." Amira said faking her anger.

"See, it bled." Amira said continuously.

Amira is checking Chase's wound and she saw that the gauze pad was soaked in blood.

"I'm sorry, Doctor." Chase said.

"Please bring the cleaning kit and a set of gauze pads." Amira said on the intercom.

Drew went out of the washroom and she saw Amira changing the dressing of Chase's wound.

"What happened?" Drew asked seeing the gauze with blood.

"I gave him NSAIDs. Why did it bleed again?" Drew asked curiously. Chase looked at different direction while Amira smiled.

"Okay, it's done." Amira said.

"I'm going, I have an operation later. I'll be back later this evening." Amira said and walked towards the door but she was surprised when Epsilon and Maximus entered before she can go out.

"Good morning, Doctor!" They spoke at once. Amira smiled and gave a peck to Lou.

"What about us, Doctor?" Dylan said smiling.

"In your dreams!" Amira said that made the rest laughed.

"You're too early." Drew said to her team.

"We cooked food and brought it here so we can eat together." Lou said while preparing the meal on the table.

"How are you, Senior?" Barry asked.

"I'm good. Having a beautiful nurse beside me made my wound heal fast." Chase said while looking at Drew. The rest shouted with teasing tone.

"Let's eat." Lou said and all of them gathered on the dining table getting food and finding their seats.

Chase stood up from his bed and walked towards the dining table. After looking at the food, he looked at Drew.

"It seems like my nurse forgot about me." Chase said faking his sadness.

Drew was busy dealing with her food when Lou patted her back.

"What?" Drew asked.

"You're patient." Lou said pointing Chase. Drew looked at Chase, the latter was like a child waiting for her mother to feed him. Drew sighed.

After breakfast, Drew asked Lou to accompany her outside.

"Anything about the man?" Chase asked pertaining to the man they encountered the other day. "He was treated at City A's hospital and he was guarded 24/7." Dylan said.

"See to it that he will not escape, I'm not sure if he saw Drew's face at that time. We need to be careful. My gut feeling told me that they are members of a bigger group . Their guns are on top of the line and they're skilled." Chase said.

"Okay, I'll inform City A." Dylan said.

"Breaking News!!!"

"The leader of the carnapping incident in City A, escaped!" The news reported.

"Barry increase the volume." Chase said with his darkened face.

"It was reported that early this morning, the said criminal will undergo a CTSCAN. He was escorted by two policemen. After the test, he went to the washroom to pee but after few minutes he didn't went out. The policemen destroyed the door but no one is inside. The report said that he used the ceiling to escape. Police are on the lookout. If you have seen this man, please report to City A immediately." The reporter said. Chase closed his fist.

"Coordinate with City A's elite team." Chase said.

"Okay, right away." Dylan said then immediately left with Shawn and Spencer.

"Barry, be on guard. Report to me anything that will caught your eyes." Chase said.

"Okay!" Barry said and went out together with Chandler and Damon.

"Flynn and Harley, you know what to do. You can use my computer." Chase said and the two nodded.

"Glenn, report to City L. Tell them what happened." Chase said and Glenn saluted before going out.

Chase sighed deeply. "I hope you didn't saw Drew's face." He said in a whisper.
