Another guardian angel
A week after Hassan and Lara's marriage, Mr Johnson decides to go back to his country to continue running his business. Mike stays back with Lara as he is her assistant. Queen Fatima starts preparing for aunt Maya's welcome to the palace. About an hour later,Aunt Maya arrives and the whole royal family receives her with open arms. Queen Fatima takes it upon herself to introduce the new addition to the family, Lara. Aunt Maya looks at Lara and she gives her a big hug as well as a gift bag containing a gift for Lara. Luna becomes jealous and aunt Maya sees it through her eyes. Maya asks Queen Fatima why she still allowed Luna to stay despite knowing that she is Hassan's ex fiancée. Queen Fatima explains that Luna works for the family company.
" hope that's the only reason why she came back because a wounded woman can do just about anything " Aunt Maya says while glaring at Luna.
Aunt Luna decides to make some pudding for everyone so she walks to the kitchen but bumps into Luna on her way there. Aunt Maya warns Luna against trying to hurt Lara because she knows Luna has hidden motives. When Maya goes into the kitchen,Luna comes up with an idea to get rid of aunt Maya because she pauses as a threat to her mission. Aunt Maya prepares the pudding and sets the cups on the tray but steps out for a while. Taking advantage of the fact that aunt Maya wears a burka over her face,Luna wears one, enters the kitchen and adds poison to Lara's specific cup then leaves. A minute later,aunt Maya walks in and takes the tray of pudding to the living room. She serves everyone there cups and they start to eat and suddenly, Lara starts coughing out blood from her mouth. Hassan and the rest get so worried they tap her on her back and offer her some water but the cough gets worse until she finds it difficult to breathe. Fearing that something bad might happen, Hassan and everybody else drive Lara to the hospital where she gets attended to immediately. After treating her,the doctor gets back to the family and tells them that Lara was poisoned. Everyone is left in utter shock so they decide to settle the matter at the palace. Lara wakes up and Hassan takes her home. Before she enters the palace, Lara almost collapses because she hasn't recovered yet but Hassan holds her just in time. Fearing that she might try to fall again,Hassan lifts Lara in his arms and takes her up to her room. As he is walking past everyone, Mike and Luna glare in jealousy. When he gets back downstairs, Hassan gathers every palace cook and worker to get some answers,
" Who dared to poison my wife's food?! I can tolerate anything but not anyone hurting the one I love!" Hassan asks in anger with a serious face.
The bass in his serious voice alone brings shivers down Luna's spine. All the servants deny ever adding any harmful substance to Princess Lara's food. Fearing that things would get out of hand,King Ahmad dismisses all the workers because Hassan can be very dangerous when he's angry. Luna decides to take this chance to tarnish aunt Maya's reputation by putting the blame on her,
" I know who did it...aunt Maya did it,yes. We all remember that she has always had a wish and its that Hassan got a Muslim girl as a wife so she's obviously unhappy that he has a Christian for a wife right Aunt Maya?"
Queen Fatima shuts Luna up and calls her accusations blasphemous. Luna however doesn't stop just yet,she continues to put the blame on aunt Maya who is left speechless. Hassan is out of control now that he even questions his aunts intentions against his wife. This time,Ahmad refuses to keep quiet especially when his sister is been accused even by Hassan,
" excuse me young man! What gave you the right to insult my sister like that? She's your aunt so show some respect! And you Luna girl,remember you are just a guest in this house so don't force to show you your place. Watch your tongue!" Ahmad points at Luna with a serious warning.
Luna however acts stubborn just to prove her point. She demands that they check the kitchen CCTV camera to see everything that took place. To bury all the accusations been labeled against his elder sister Maya,he agrees to go through the footage. And for sure,there is a woman wearing the exact clothes as aunt Maya even her nail polish color. Maya starts pleading with everyone to trust her because she didn't poison,
" But you made the pudding aunt! And we have all seen you put some sort of substance in the food on camera so stop denying it!"
Ahmad loses his cool so he raises his hand to Luna and gives her a tight slap in the face that her cheek turns pink,
" I told you to keep quiet because you are only a guest! "
And this time,for once,Luna keeps quiet. Hassan leaves the security room and goes to his and Lara's bedroom. Everyone else dismisses and goes to their rooms. When Hassan enters the room,he sees Lara walking on her own and she sprains her ankle. Instead of comforting her,Hassan vents his anger on Lara but she argues with him as well,
" uh hello! Am I supposed to wait for you before I can go to the bathroom to ease myself? If you didn't want me to walk then why don't you out the toilet on my bedside uh!"
Hassan doesn't respond to Lara's taunts so he gets some warm water and treats the sprain with some ointment. Lara notices that her husband is really mad so she asks him what's wrong and tells her all that happened and she scolds him for not trusting his own aunt before she leaves to go and console aunt Maya. When Lara enters the room,she finds aunt Maya seated on the floor beside her bed crying bitterly. She feels so sorry for Maya so Lara walks forward,sits beside her to cheer her up,
" why are you seated all alone crying? Wipe your tears because it doesn't suit you. So what if Hassan doesn't believe you,I do. You just met some few hours ago and you've shown me love. I trust you aunt I do" Lara hugs aunt Maya to make her feel better.
Queen Fatima and King Ahmad overhear Lara's words of encouragement and couldn't be more proud. When Lara manages to stop aunt Maya from crying and helps her go to sleep,she goes straight to her room and storms on Hassan,
" I can't believe you Hassan,really! You decided to place your trust in an ordinary video instead of your aunt! She raised you....why didn't she kill you then? Don't you sense something? Luna is trying to turn you against aunt Maya and you fell for it despite knowing she is a bad person! Am so ashamed of you!"
Lara gets into bed after telling Hassan off. Hassan feels ashamed of himself and how he acted towards aunt Maya and promises himself that he'll prove aunt innocent. The following morning, Lara is still not talking to Hassan and he's able to sense her mood with her actions. He decides to apologise to Lara for his terrible behavior towards aunt Maya,
" listen Lara I get that you are upset with me and am sorry for that" Hassan goes down on his knees.
Lara tells Hassan that he should be apologising to aunt Maya instead. Hassan promises to apologise to aunt Maya but enlists Lara's help to prove aunt Maya's innocence and she agrees to help him. When he gets ready, Hassan takes Lara with him to apologise to Maya,
"aunt am sorry for my insolent behavior last night. I was just so angry and worried about Lara that I lost control of my words and tongue" Hassan goes down on his knees to show how sorry he is.
Lara speaks to Maya on Hassan's behalf and for sure,Maya forgives her nephew. Hassan and Lara then decide to sneak into Luna's bedroom while she is away to do some searching. Hassan fears to touch any of Luna's things since she's a girl so Lara does the search. And thanks to luck,they find peach nail polish and a black burka. Hassan then concludes that Luna is guilty so he takes the evidence. When Luna gets back home, Hassan gathers the entire family including Luna. He tells them that he knows who put poison in Lara's pudding and it's not in fact aunt Maya. Just then,Luna's heart beats fast and uncontrollably,
" oh know,does Hassan know that I did it? If he did....them am hot soup because he won't spare me" Luna starts sweating profusely.
Hassan brings out the peach nail polish and a burka. He tells everyone that Luna was the one who poisoned Lara's food and the evidence is that he found the exact things the person in the footage was wearing is what was found in Luna's room. Queen Fatima then without hesitating,gives a hot slap to Luna,
" you ungrateful child! Maya was right,a wounded woman can never be trusted! I welcomed you but this..."
King Ahmad commands Ayan to pack all of Luna's clothes and when she does, he calls the palace security and asks them to throw Luna out of the palace also commanding her never to return or face the consequences. When Luna leaves the house,aunt Maya walks to Lara and thanks her for her support,
" thanks a lot my child...if it wasn't your support then all of this wouldn't have been possible. If it wasn't for you...Hassan wouldn't have proved me innocent if you hadn't talked to him. And so from now on...no harm will come your way because I'll protect you...this is my promise"
Could this be the end to Luna's schemes or will she continue to plot against Lara?
