"What are you surprised about? You are not the only lunatic here."

Rolling her eyes, Oh Ji-Soo turned and strode away.

Because she has been tolerant towards him for a long time, letting him step all over her did not mean she couldn't act like him.

At the same time, Vice-president Jang quickly rushed toward Kim Ji-hun to stop him from chasing after her.

"Oh Ji-Soo! Come back here! Whom are you calling a lunatic?" Kim Ji-hun ordered with his gaze at the entrance while still struggling to get out of Jang Deok-Hwa's hold.

"Ji-hun be calm." Jang Deok-Hwa said while tightening his hands around his arms as another staff came to assist him just when Kim Ji-hun was about to get out of his hold.

Feeling his movement was restricted again, Kim Ji-hun stopped struggling and turned his angry gaze to them.

"Let go now!"

"Remind me to never offend Director Oh if I see her again." Director Baek whispered to the project manager while watching their CEO being withheld from getting back at Oh Ji-Soo.

With what he had just witnessed today, he didn't think he could handle the repercussions of crossing Oh Ji-Soo's path.

If a whole company president could receive insults like that, worth more for him who was only a director.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Oh Ji-Soo walked past Kim Chae-Yeon and Ms. Helen without turning sideways.

"Not bad. There is someone that can put Kim Ji-hun in his place." Kim Chae-Yeon mumbled to herself as her gaze followed her.

"Ma'am, do you want to go in?" Ms. Helen asked worriedly, in hopes that her presence may be able to calm their President down.

Kim Chae-Yeon's attention was piqued by that question and without replying, she continued in her steps.

Getting to the entrance, she almost collided with her son who had broken loose intending to go after the woman that had just trampled all over him.

Seeing his mother standing there in front of him, his hot fast boiling blood instantly slowed as the fire in his heart vanished.

Instantly, time seemed to stop for both the staff members in the conference room and Kim Ji-hun himself.

'When did she get here? Did she witness everything that just happened?'

Staring intently at him, Kim Chae-Yeon inquired, "Son, where are you going?"

Going back to her office, Oh Ji-Soo employed the help of her clueless assistant and two male staff to take her things to the ground floor and straight to the cab she had ordered.

"Director Oh, what is going on?" Eun-bi asked while trying to catch up with her.

Being told to suddenly evacuate all the personal properties in her office called for an explanation.

Oh Ji-Soo ignored her and the two male staff members walking behind her. Her gaze was still as strong as ever.

No smile.

Nothing that could show any positive emotions was written on her face, but there was something the trio was able to pick up.

Seeing her return from the meeting only after a few minutes with that look on her face, things might not have gone well.

But this only made them curious to find out what had transpired in there.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Oh Ji-Soo stepped out first and led them outside the building where her cab was waiting.

After loading the trunk of the car with the boxes in their hands, the trio stood aside facing the woman who was about to get into the car.

"Eun-bi."

"Yes, Ma'am!" Eun-bi quickly answered while looking a little apprehensive about what she was about to hear.

Taking off the work ID on her neck, she passed it to her. "Leave it on my desk."

Leaving that instruction behind, she ignored their stunned gazes and got into the car.

"Director Oh, what do you mean?" Eun-bi asked as her eyes widened in their sockets. Somehow, she was able to put one or two together to form the worst possible answer to this action.

"I-Is Director Oh resigning?"

Right at that moment, the car zoomed off, leaving them no chance to ask that question to her face.

Sitting in the back seat of the car with her gaze fixed on the view from the window, Oh Ji-Soo felt an immense relief from finally standing up to Kim Ji-hun.

Not just that, quitting her job was the best decision she could ever make for herself.

If only she had done this sooner, maybe she would not have suffered this much at his hands.

Nevertheless, she had finally regained her freedom, and that's all that matters.

With a heart full of relief, Oh Ji-Soo returned to her condo and with a little help from one of the security guards working in the building, she carried her property up.

"Thank you." She said to the man who had helped her out, before shutting her door.

'Finally, I'm free!' She thought to herself as she walked over to her couch to lay her tired body down.

After all the scolding she had done, she needed to recover her strength. How she wished she knew that even giving revenge on Kim Ji-hun was not an easy task.

The man was so annoying that she had to speak for such a long time before she could bring him to the highest degree of anger.

Seeing his mother immediately put an end to all his plans of chasing after Oh Ji-Soo.

Shutting his eyes as Kim Ji-hun cursed under his breath before walking past her.

He had been embarrassed so much today, in front of his staff and then his mother. He wanted nothing more than to disappear.

Seeing him a bit calm, Jang Deok-Hwa let out a sigh of relief before sweeping his gaze past everyone in the room. "The meeting is over."

Receiving the vice president's order to get back to work as the meeting has been cancelled, everyone stood up to leave.

For them, it was more like they were gathered to watch their company President get insulted with no way to retaliate.
