SLAP!!

Felix held his face while staring at the lady in front of him with eyes that were about to spit out flames. Rage was burning within him that he had the urge to throw a fist at the black-haired woman. But on a second thought; he decided to hold himself back. Amanda was just beside him. He shouldn't show her an awful side of him.

Hahahaha!!

Felix suddenly burst into a roar of laughter. The mockery and disdain were perfectly mixed in his laugh that not even the dumbest would miss it. He laughed so hard that many of the people within the crowd were throwing in strange glares. Even Amanda wasn't exempted from it.

Kate stared at the man who was laughing like a psychopath. She gritted her teeth with the anger that was already building within her threatening to take over her rational thinking. She had slapped him because of the way he decisively rejected Sophie over and over again. No matter what Sophie said or how many times she pleaded. He still turned her down. 

How dare he? What gave him the right to reject her friend? Not even hesitating to turn her down. For her; Sophie is the best of the best. Yet this scoundrel. This bastard. Dared to reject her? He should just die already.

"What the hell are you laughing at?" Kate barked at him frustrated.

" Sorry, sorry. I just can't help it. Everything is just too hilarious to not laugh. Don't you think?" Felix said with a smirk after finally calming himself from a long laughing season.

Both Sophie and Kate were taken completely by surprise by that wicked smirk on his face. Neither of them was expecting him to have such an expression at this moment. Just what in the world was he smirking for?

"I won't fuss over you slapping me. I think I actually needed that to sober up and clear my thoughts" Felix said to Kate who was literally dissecting him with her eyes. He paused for a moment before speaking again " What I don't understand is; why are you taking this issue like you are the victim or the mother of the victim? I don't really get it, what's your aim? I know she's your friend and all that; but aren't you taking it too far?" Felix fixed his gaze on Kate's face as he said in a serious voice creeping with sarcasm.

 Amanda looked at Felix's face when she heard his question. Her beautiful eyebrows knitted together; thinking about his question just now, and she couldn't seem to provide an answer. Truly, why was Kate taking action while the victim was just standing there like a moron? She couldn't even defend herself. What then gave Sophie the right to want Felix back?

Yet, her friend was already acting like an agitated mother hen who had its egg was stolen or something. She should seriously mind her own business.

"So she isn't the victim?"

"Maybe they are sisters? That might explain why she's acting in such a way"

" I don't think so. According to that bastard. It seems like they are friends"

" Don't fight over him. Beauty, Come to me. I will treat you good"

Many voices rose within the small crowd of people that were surrounding them. While the sources of those voices weren't traceable, the voices traveled within the crowd so that everyone could hear them clearly. Felix and the three women weren't left out either.

Sophie looked over to Kate with guilt all over her face. She really had herself to blame for this because Kate only stepped in to defend her. But Felix's question had now placed Kate in the position of a 'busy body in the eyes of everyone. She opened her mouth; wanting to say something. But had no words to offer.

Kate, on the other hand, was about to explode from extreme anger. Her blood was already boiling up to her brain with veins popping up on her face. Her anger was already above her control limit. She had to vent her emotions. Either physically or verbally.

"Oh just shut the f**k up. Who do you think you are to ask such a question? Why would I step up for her? I'm her mother, you hear me? That's your answer. Now, answer me, you f**ker. Just why, why did you do this to her? I know you are stupid and selfish. Still, even dogs can appreciate good masters. Just why would you do what you did to someone who had devoted her everything to you?

Do you think it would be hard for her to find a better person instead of sticking with you? Did you think she won't be able to find a wealthier person if she wished for it? She's the best! Do you hear me? The best. Yet she chose to stay with a scoundrel like you. And even now that you left her; she is still begging for you to come back. I honestly don't understand why she wants you. She's too good for you. Just die you bastard" Kate finally stopped after ranting at Felix non-stop. Her huge chest moved up and down as she breathed roughly.

Amanda's expression turned weird after listening to Kate's ranting. She was feeling uncomfortable " I understand that she's your friend and all but that doesn't give you the right to scold him…." 

Amanda wasn't able to complete her objection when Kate lashed out at her.

"Shut the hell up too. You b*tch. You feel so good taking people's used toys right? Humph, what a pretty-faced garbage collect. You are just as obnoxious as he is. Why don't the two of you die together?" 

The crowd instantly burst into an uproar. That was especially so for those who knew Amanda. It was hard to believe that someone would dare to scold the goddess of the biggest movie industry so openly.

Of course, Kate knew Amanda's identity. Sophie might be Oblivion of some things but definitely not her. And as to why she dared to scold such a person…. Well, she didn't give a damn about Amanda's status. Since when had she been afraid of anyone?

"Damn. Who's that woman? Daring to scold goddess Amanda in the open?"

" She's so wild, I think I've fallen in love with her"

" Look at those hips and thighs; so thick"

" Bro, boobs are life. She's a life spring!"

" Ouch ouch, I didn't mean it. Someone save me! My wife is going to kill me"

Different exclamations once again traveled through the crowd of people with different opinions clashing.

Amanda's lips twitched. She almost lost it just then but thankfully, she was able to control herself. She never expected this black-haired cow ( how she See's Kate now) to have such a vicious, poisonous mouth. Just how did Felix get acquainted with her?

"Hey! Watch your mouth, don't talk to her like that or you are gonna regret ever having a mouth" Felix shouted at Kate.

The latter didn't relent to lashing right back at him.

" And what are you going to do about it?" Kate retorted.

Just when it seemed like they were about to lunge at each other. Someone finally stepped in front of Kate.

Her red hair fluttered gently behind her with her dazzling black eyes staring strongly at Felix. The formal broken and longing feeling was no longer present in her eyes. Just like a climatic season, they seem to have moved elsewhere permanently.

What remained were the resolve and firmness. A conviction that Felix had never seen nor felt before was what masked Sophie's eyes.

"You have helped me enough. Now let me do this on my own…Sis" Sophie darted a heartwarming smile at Kate. 

For a moment, Kate almost thought that her friend was glowing. That smile

Her childhood friend was back. She was really back, finally. 

Kate only smiled in response, not intending to interfere anymore. Knowing that Sophie had finally found herself was enough reason for her to bear the anger that threatened to erupt within her.

Felix suddenly felt his heart shake with an uneasy feeling when Sophie turned in his direction. Those eyes seem to tell him how much of little value he was in them. Amanda likewise, also felt troubled. To her, Sophie seems to suddenly see Felix as an insignificant item worth nothing. Just how did this cry baby change so suddenly? Just what sort of crazy twist was this?

"You love her now right? No worries. I won't bother you ever again. As you said, our story ends here" Sophie said with a firm voice. Her unwavering resolve in her eyes made her look like a deity giving a verdict.

"Since when did you start to speak to me like that? Do you think you are the best? You will never find anyone like me, never." Felix quickly composed himself and said sternly. It was hard to believe that these two were once lovers.

"Is that so? I really don't want anyone like you….I want someone better than you. And I will get it. You will regret your actions that day" Sophie declared with so much confidence that almost made Kate cheer for her. Her Sophie was doing splendidly on her own.
