2 Prior Engagement

**Silver Inn**

A girl was sitting in a private room, pouring her sorrows in a wine glass.

Clara Sheldon, a name known to all. The sole heir to the Sheldon Entertainments.

Not only is she beautiful, but she has an overwhelming backing of family and friends. What is the use of it now, when her happy face was now covered with tears, and the only thing in front of her is a glass of wine?

Without thinking much, she poured all the remaining content into her mouth. She did not hate the taste of it, but it left an unpleasant burning feeling in her throat.

As the glass strikes the table, the sound of someone walking near her was heard. Clara's back was facing the approaching person.

Clara's eyes narrowed. It was the sound of heels.

"Are you here to look at my ridiculous face," Clara turned towards the person, "or to tell me that I should give up?"

There was sadness in her voice, but the sharpness of her toned concealed it up.

"Clara, you are my friend, and I never wanted this to happen" She tried to believe Clara but was suddenly shown a hand.

"Friend, you say? I am no friend of yours, Miss Layla Sparks. Please don't show your face to me" Clara turned her back towards Layla once again " I have prior engagements. Please leave, and next time take permission before you enter."

Layla knew that Clara was angry. It was the only logical thing given the situation, but she still cherished her as a friend. She never wanted things to turn this way, but it still did.

Layla decided to try one last time "You are angry with me, and I understand, but please just listen to me once."

"Which part, that I have a prior engagement, did you not understand Miss Sparks?"

"Even though we have merely known each other for 3 years, I know this room is only used by you three while you entertained your other friends outside in the common area."

That is true. Even though this room is always reserved under Sheldon's name, the room was actually only used by Clara, Kyle, and Alexander.

'It's time to leave the one name out of it now.'

"And yet you dared enter, Miss Sparks, leave now before I run out of my patience."

"I.." Layla's words were cut off by a melodious voice.

"Here you are, Clara, and I thought you forgot that I existed."
