3 Her Decision

Clara was doubtful. Her dark brown eyes gazed at the new approaching figure in confusion.

She has never seen this girl. The approaching miss did not show any emotions on her face. She walked past Layla and directly hugged Clara, making her speechless.

For Layla, it was a get-together of long lost buddies, but only Clara knew it better.

"You want to make her leave, right? so just follow my lead," while hugging Clara, the girl murmured into her ears, "And call me Eve."

The hug soon ended, and the girl named Eve sat in front of Clara facing Layla.

Before anyone could speak, the Manager hurried in front to greet the lady. At this point, Clara was beyond doubt, this Eve was no ordinary girl, but she has never seen her in the social circle.

Her midnight black hair was dangling down her waist, where she wore a Mignonette color long outerwear cape, enhancing her beauty. Her style was simple but elegant. The girl seemed so young that Clara was unclear about her age.

'Maybe she is younger than me.'

"Ma'am, Mr. Hart wants to--," Clara's train of thoughts was interrupted by Manager's sudden words.

"I am here for personal reasons. I will meet him next time I am here," Eve replied with a smile.

"Very Well, Ma'am." the Manager did not dare to linger any longer after taking the order he soon left.

Layla's eyes narrowed at the new person who was comfortably sitting in front of Clara. She has never seen this girl before, but by glancing at the happiness on Clara's face, she could see that the lady knew Clara.

"Thank God, you left that crappy friend of yours," Eve continued in a joyous tone as if leaving them was the best thing Clara did in her life " What was his name again, K K Kyle, was it?"

"The best decision so far." Eve chuckled, making Clara inadequate to catch up but glancing at Eve's Chocolate brown eyes, she soon realized the underlying meaning of her words. Someone was still behind her.

"You are right, Eve. It was the best decision ever."

"I thought you would never break away from him and his personality. You need happiness in your life, and an indifferent and boring man like him can never keep you happy," hearing her criticize Kyle made Clara's and Layla's eyes widened in shock. " You are such a fortunate girl. That the friend of yours took such a person away, while you didn't have to do anything."

Layla's smoldered with resentment. What was this girl talking? She was just a means to take Kyle away from Clara? Clara was, anticipating this?

As soon as Eve was done talking, the Manager personally brought the drinks and served them. As he was about to exit the room, a melodious voice froze him.

"Take your staff out. You should know the rules" Manager was confused, other than him, there was no other staff member. When he followed Eve's sight, he was met with Layla's sorrowful eyes.

"She is not our staff member,"

"Oh, It seems like your policies have changed a lot. Any anonymous people can enter the private area and invade a room?" Eve's voice was sharp, making her presence heavy.

"She is Miss Sheldon's friend." the Manager spoke.

"Is she now," Eve's sight moved towards Clara, who was sitting wide-eyed. She was angry at Layla, but it was still true that Kyle and Alexander brought Layla here to eat at times, maybe as a result of that, the guards didn't stop her.

Clara studied Eve, her bright eyes were communicating with Clara, instruction to make a decision now, maybe after this, there was no turning back.

"No, I don't know her." Clara's speech was filled with confidence. Her clear voice filled the room as the sound of the buzzing of bees in a calm flower field.

She has made her decision.
