8 FENG ANXI

"Who is that?"

A reporter shouted loudly and in an instant, everyone's gaze was directed at the door. Standing at the door was a young man dressed flamboyantly. His aloha shirt had a few buttons open and his black ragged jeans hugged tightly on his long legs and on his feet he had on the latest Adidas shoes.

At first, no one recognized him but after a few looked, everyone was astonished.

Wasn't this the top star Feng Anxi?

Some of the cameras were capturing the event live and as soon as the fans saw the face revealed by the cameras, the LetsChat app immediately became wild.

LillyisforFeng wrote; 'What did I just see? What is my husband doing at the conference instead of staying at home with me?

Another fan wrote; If my Anxi is the male lead then my family and I plus our dogs and cats will buy tickets when the movie gets out.

Another one wrote; My husband Anxi is looking dashing today.

Every comment revolved around Anxi and in just a matter of seconds, the live feed which was as silent as a grave now overflowed with thousands of viewers.

Reporters immediately flooded where Feng Anxi stood, each trying to ask questions.

One reporter asked; 'Anxi you were just in Country Y shooting a film, how was the experience?"

Another asked; "Feng Anxi, is it true that you are joining Lost In The City as the male lead?"

Yet another asked; "Feng Anxi...Feng Anxi...over here...Is it true that you agreed to be the male lead only if a certain undisclosed person became the female lead?"

Another chimed in with an unrelated question; 'Is it true that you and the actress Susan Rodgers are dating?"

Questions came from left right and center, some rendering Feng Anxi speechless. He flashed a smile and the reporters unknowingly calmed down. After that, he spoke softly,

"My dearest reporters, today is the conference for Lost In The City. Let me do my duties otherwise Travis up there will start throwing a fit haha."

Everyone stared at Travis who was sitting at the podium and as if on cue, his lips twitched slightly. Everyone in the room burst into laughter. The tense atmosphere immediately became light and everyone immediately felt at ease but not Lilian who was staring daggers at her agent her look was easily readable. It was as if she was saying 'Why didn't you tell me that Feng Anxi was the male lead?'

Everyone knew who Feng Anxi was. As an actress, acting in a one-minute scene with him would make her famous let alone be the female lead next to him. Every actor and actress who had worked with him in movies immediately became B list or A list stars.

Feng Anxi was simply too famous that foreign directors from country Y sought him out for their films.

He made way to the podium and sat where the male lead was supposed to sit and greeted the other members then mouthed lightly,

"Now only the female lead is left, where the hell is that witch?"
