19 Seeing Him Being So Quiet was a Little Strange

Throughout the day, Tang Chen's thought was filled with the father that he had never met before.

He knew how much his little sister was looking forward to having a father. Xiao Xiao said that she wanted to look for their father and Tang Chen did not want to let his sister down.

But Tang Chen was worried that the father that Xiao Xiao hoped to have would be as abusive as Jiang An's father. Then, what was he supposed to do?

Tang Chen wanted to go and meet his little sister and discuss this matter. However, it was only a weekday and he could not go to the hospital to see Xiao Xiao.

He had to wait for the weekend before he could see Xiao Xiao again.

"Chen Chen, what are you thinking about?"

The voice made Tang Chen look up. He stared at Yin Yi Bo with a dazed look on his face.

The boy's reaction made Yin Yi Bo chuckle. Usually, Tang Chen would complain when he called him Chen Chen. Seeing him being so quiet was a little strange.

Yin Yi Bo waved his hand in front of Tang Chen's face. "Tang Chen?"

"Uncle Yin."

"Hmm?" Yin Yi Bo raised a brow when the little boy did not react. "What is it? Did something happen at your kindergarten?"

Tang Chen shook his head. "No." He pursed his lips, deciding that what he had in mind was not something that he could discuss with Uncle Yin.

This man was very close to his mother.

Tang Chen knew that if he said something, Yin Yi Bo would definitely talk to his mother.

The matter of finding their father was a secret between him and Xiao Xiao. He could not let his mother know that Xiao Xiao wanted to look for their father.

"Uncle Yin, we should leave now." Tang Chen stretched his hand to hold the elder man's hand.

Yin Yi Bo raised his brow. Yin Yi Bo decided not to push the boy, seeing that the boy was not interested in telling him what was going on at his school.

After all, Yin Yi Bo knew well that Tang Chen did not trust him yet.

However, Yin Yi Bo decided to keep his eyes on Tang Chen. If there's anything, he would talk to Tang Shi Yi about her son.

The two walked together to leave the kindergarten.

Fortunately, Tang Chen's kindergarten was within walking distance of his house.

"Chen Chen..."

"Uncle Yin, you have to call me Tang Chen."

Yin Yi Bo laughed. He stretched his hand and patted Tang Chen on his head. It seemed that what happened in school was no longer disturbing the boy's thoughts.

"Your mother said, she would be coming home a little late," Yin Yi Bo said. "Let's stop by the restaurant before we head back, alright?"

"Alright." Tang Chen nodded.

It did not take them too long to reach the restaurant.

Yin Yi Bo led Tang Chen to sit near the window. He pushed the menu to Tang Chen and let the boy choose what he wanted to eat.

Tang Chen did not take too long to decide what he wanted to eat. They were a frequent customer of the restaurant and Tang Chen had his favorite dishes from the place.

"Tang Chen, are you not going to try another dish? You always ordered the same thing each time we came here." Yin Yi Bo pointed at a photo on the menu. "How about their fried rice? It's not spicy."

The little boy shook his head. "I like this restaurant's fish ball noodles."

Yin Yi Bo heaved a sigh. In the end, he called the waiter to place their order.

As long as Tang Chen was willing to eat, it should be good enough.

Yin Yi Bo looked at Tang Chen again, wanting to initiate a conversation with the little boy. However, before he could say a word, Tang Chen was already looking out the window to watch the people passing by.

Seeing the way Tang Chen was reacting almost made Yin Yi Bo laugh.

They had been together for a while, but it seemed that this little boy still liked to ignore him.

Yin Yi Bo opened his mouth, wanting to say something. However, the words that he wanted to say were stuck in his throat when the phone in his pocket rang.

He took out his phone and looked at the caller ID. His brow furrowed, noticing that it was a phone call from work. Yin Yi Bo looked at Tang Chen and spoke, "Chen Chen."

Tang Chen looked at Yin Yi Bo unhappily. He already reminded this man to call his name, but it seemed that Uncle Yin was not listening to him.

"I'm going to answer this phone call for a while." Yin Yi Bo waved the phone in his hand. "You stay here and wait for me, alright? Don't run around. When the food arrives, you can eat first."

"Uncle Yin, I know." Tang Chen nodded obediently. His mother already reminded him that he had to listen to Uncle Yin. "I will stay here until you come back."

Yin Yi Bo smiled. The ringing from his phone reminded him that the call from work was urgent. Yin Yi Bo glanced at the waiter and reminded him to help him look after Tang Chen. Then, he walked out of the restaurant to find a quiet corner for him to answer the phone call.

The owner and the worker from the restaurant all recognized Yin Yi Bo and Tan Chen as they were the restaurant's frequent visitors.

Yin Yi Bo was not worried about leaving Tang Chen around the restaurant for a few minutes.

Tang Chen watched as Yin Yi Bo left the restaurant. The little boy heaved in relief upon noticing that Uncle Yin did not go very far. The older man stood at the corner where he could keep his eyes on him.

The food that they ordered arrived while Yin Yi Bo was still on the phone.

Tang Chen remembered Yin Yi Bo's words to let him eat first. He picked up his chopsticks to eat.

However, someone bumped into his chair, causing the chopsticks that he was holding to fall on the floor.

Tang Chen stared at the chopsticks on the floor, wanting to pick them up. Before he could jump down the chair, someone already helped him to pick up his chopsticks.

"Thank you." Tang Chen raised his head. The light in his eyes flickered the moment he recognized the young man in front of him. "Uncle?" It was the man who helped him with the candies last weekend.
