The fireplace project

Ren is now alone and started to make the baby clothes.

She wants to make some hide diapers for the baby too.

She wants to do a lot of things for the baby, but she wonders if the hide that they have been enough.

She also wants to make herself busy, so she won't get bored.

Mar on the other hand have reached the elder's hut.

Bon has called the men of the village and met with the chief.

"I heard that most of the female in our village is getting sick because of the cold season."

"That is indeed true. It is getting more and more colder this past few days. And we think that the females can't handle it. " One of the elder's replied.

The men's of the villages join in. "My mate is sick too." "Mine too chief, what should we do?"

"I saw a fireplace in the Chiefs hut and I think it is a great idea for every hut in this village to have."

"I made it so that my mate won't get sick. It is her idea to put it there in the living room. " Mar responded.

Mar then explains what a fireplace is and what are the materials needed to build it.

Everyone agrees that they will build it in every hut for the females and the kids sake.

The meeting has ended and the men's in the village has gathered the materials for building the fireplace.

Every man helps including Mar to build one fireplace per hut.

When it is time to build the fireplace in Milly's hut, Mar is hesitant to participate.

He knows that being around her makes him feel furious.

He can't really do anything about it. As the village chief, it is his duty to help every villager, even if that villager is Milly.

Milly notices Mar and decided to talk to him.

"Hello there Mar. How is your little female? I heard that she is now pregnant."

"Why do you care Milly? Stop bothering me, I am busy with the others."

People started looking at them. Milly feels shy being treated by Mar like that.

"What is wrong with asking? I am just curious with how things are going on between you two."

"Why do you care? Stop asking me about my mate. We are perfectly fine and that doesn't concern you, so back off."

"Why do you always have to be so rude to me? I am just simply asking. No need to be like that. Besides, I am pretty sure that you also want my attention."

"Who would want your attention? Those petty men that like you are miserable now. Do you think I would follow their footsteps? I am not insane to do so."

Everyone in there helping to build her fireplace including her mates heard what Mar said. She felt humiliated.

Her face turns red and looks like she is about to blow up.

"Is that so? When your little mate gets tired of you, you will be running to me and be my mate."

Mar really got angry with how hard headed Milly is.

"Let me tell you one thing Milly. My mate is far from doing the same thing that you do with your mate. You treated them as if they are just some trash. My mate is different. You can't compare yourself to her. Besides that being pretty as you always say you are, you are nothing more than that."

That hit her hard. She is so annoyed by how Mar treated her. No male in the village does the same to her. She thinks she is the prettiest female in the village.

"I will make sure you regret what you say about me Mar. I am just trying to be nice to you because I want you as my mate. That doesn't mean you can treat me like this. I am a female. And I am an important part of this village."

"That is exactly why I hate you. You think so much of yourself. You are just a female, nothing more."
