The curious Ren

Ren and Ivy reached Mar. He is still busy talking with the elders and some of the males in the village including Bon.

Mar noticed that Ren looks uncomfortable though smiling. "What happen love? Are you okay?"

"Good day, chief. Well, she isn't actually okay. Milly and the other females tried to bully her." Ivy replied.

Mar feels furious hearing this. "Is that true Ren? Where is Milly? I will make sure she will suffer for what she did."

Ren panics, afraid that Mar will do something bad, "No, don't, I'm alright. No need to do that dear. I don't want any trouble, so please don't."

Seeing that Ren feels troubled, Mar soften. "But you are my mate, love. I am the chief. Disrespecting you is also the same as Disrespecting me. And I won't allow anyone bullying you. They can't do that to my mate."

He faces Ivy, "What really happen Ivy? Can you tell me?"

"Well chief, Milly and the other females are ganging up on her. They said Ren tried to steal their mates because she is smiling at the males here at the hall. But that is not true, she is smiling at everyone, including me and the other females here. I really think that Ren is just being nice and friendly. It is all Milly's ideas, making up those stories for the other females to hate Ren."

"That Milly is really getting on my nerve. This time she has gone for Ren to bully her." Mar replied.

Ren feels that Mar is really angry. "Dear, no need to bother about them. Thanks to Ivy that helped me, I am fine. Let just go home, I want to rest."

"Alright, let's go home. Let me just talk to Ivy for a minute." He then faces Ivy. "Thank you for helping Ren. I owe you one."

"No worries, I like Ren because she seems nice. Unlike Milly and those females who only wants to bother other people and look for fight."

"I hope you can be friends with my mate, she really needs one. I hate to see her being all alone most of the time when I am not around."

"Sure thing, and besides it seems she has a lot of good ideas when it comes to food. I love eating, so we will be best friends." Ivy said while laughing.

Ren heard it and smile at Ivy. "Thank you so much. I hope to see you soon again."

"I will visit your hut one of these days. I heard that the bread is your idea. I wish you could teach me some new recipe."

"That would be wonderful. See you soon."

Ren and Mar said their goodbyes to Ivy and the elders then left the hall. They reached their hut and went in.

Mar is so worried about what happen. "Are you okay, love? You look so exhausted."

"I am exhausted dear. I'm sorry if we have to go home soon because of me. I shouldn't have come with you if I know this thing will happen."

"No, it is not your fault. Don't talk like that. It is Milly's fault and those females that follow her. I will assure you that this won't end here. They will be punished for what they did to you."

"Please don't do that. I don't like for them to hate me more. I want to be friends with everyone in the village."

"But that is the problem, love. Milly doesn't treat anyone as a friend. She is even rude to her mates. She won't be your friend no matter what you do."

"But why would she hate me? I may not be her friend, but why would she do that to me?"

"Well, it is because she wants me to be her mate. She is being stubborn and want you out of my life and out of the village. I won't let her do that though. You don't have to worry."

"Oh. I see, now I understand why she hates me." Ren now is curious about Milly. "She is pretty, why didn't you like her to be your mate? If you don't mind me asking dear."

Mar sigh, "she is pretty indeed. But I hate her attitude. You should see how she treats other people, specially her mates. She thinks so highly of herself. She thinks she can get away with everything she do just because she is a female and a pretty one too. I hate those kind of female."

Ren smiles, thinking that Mar really is picky with whom he want to be mates with.

"Then you really like me, do you?" Teasing Mar and kissed him on the cheek.

Smiling, Mar replied "of course, you are one of a kind. No one can be as nice as you."

Ren feels very happy to hear it from him. She hugged him and kissed him gently on the lips.

"I love you so much."

He hugs her back, "I love you more. I hope that you know that."

"Of course I know that you love me, but I am the one who loves you more." She giggles and kissed him again on the lips.
