Ivy's love interest

Most of the time, Ivy visits the family. Playing with little Ezra and dreaming of having his own litter someday.

"I wonder when will I ever have my own little one." Ivy said while frowning.

Ren smiled at her. "The problem is you don't have a mate yet. How can you have a baby?"

"Yeah, I know that. But I am still choosing my mate, I want him to be just like the chief, you know.He loves you so much. I want my mate to love me, and I love him too. I told you this already, right?"

"And you also told me that there is this one guy that you like. What was his name again?"

"His name is Agni, I think you have met him before."

Ren looked at Mar and asked, "Who is Agni again, love?"

"If you remember the night before the Moon Worshipping night, he was the one who informed me that the elders are asking for me. He came here in our hut that night." Mar replied.

"Oh, i see. Yeah, I remember him now. He is that tall, long-haired guy, right?"

"Yes, that's him, though most of the men here in the village are long-haired and tall."

Both Ivy and Mar laughed at the same time.

Ren looked at them, wondering what's funny.

"Why not give a chance, then?"

"I am still thinking about it."

"What does he do for you, though?" Ren asked.

"Oh, he brings some animals that he hunts. He is actually good at hunting. One time, I asked him to bring me a deer. Within a few hours, he really did bring me one. And then this one time that I asked him to make some bread for me, to my surprise, he baked me some." Ivy said while laughing.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Ren asked seriously.

"Well, it is."

"Then what's stopping you from making him your mate? By the sounds of it, he is quite dependable. You also said he is good at hunting."

"I am waiting for that spark. You know, like yours and the chief's kind of spark."

"Well, you won't feel that spark unless you will try to see him as he is, not just by waiting for that spark."

"You might be right. I will try and go with him, hunting later to get to know him better."

Mar, who is holding Ezra, replied to Ivy, "I vouch for Agni, I know him for a long time, and I know that he is a pretty decent man. He won't be courting you just to have a mate. He is definitely courting you because he likes you. Besides, you are quite different from the rest of the women in our village. You are almost like Ren."

"Just almost?" Ivy replied.

This time, both Ren and Mar laughed at the same time.

Ivy smiled enthusiastically, "Well then, lovers. I'll go and meet Agni, see you both later."

Ivy then meets up with Agni. "Hi, can I come with you while you're hunting?"

He smiled and replied nervously, "O-ofcourse you can come. I would love that."

Both Ivy and Agni have enjoyed each others company. They never get bored and go home smiling from ears to ears.
