Confession

The food is done, and Mar places it on the table.

"Enjoy the food. Mar is really good at cooking." Ren said proudly.

"Thank you." Noah replied to Ren.

He then faced Mar, "Thank you for letting me have dinner with you."

"I don't mind as long as you behave yourself." Mar replied.

Ren is quite curious on how these two are on good terms now. Mar didn't even get angry or upset. "Is he not jealous anymore?" She thought to herself.

"Can I visit you again sometimes?" Noah asked Ren.

She looked at Mar, waiting for confirmation.

When she saw Mar smiled at her, she then answered Noah. "Sure."

Mar notice that Noah wanted to say something to Ren, but couldn't because of his presence. So he stood up and told Ren he would get some fresh air outside.

When Mar is outside, Noah felt comfortable and decided to say what's on his mind.

"Ren, I hope you're still not mad at me about what happen last time."

"It's okay, as long as Mar is okay, that is all what matters." She replied.

Noah is mustering his courage to speak regarding the promise between the two of them.

Ren noticed that he's been quite for some time now. "Are you okay?"

He then looked at Ren with seriousness in his eyes, "Ren, I know you just met me recently, and I don't want to lose your trust on me, but I wanted you to know that I really like you. No, I love you. And I want you to know that I will do whatever it takes for you to love me back. You don't have to answer now, I just wanted to tell you this for a long time."

Ren is so shocked by those words. She couldn't even speak or think. Her face is so red from blushing.

"Are you alright? Did I offend you?" Noah is so worried that Ren might get angry at him.

She really doesn't know what to feel. She's feeling confused right now. It was a shocker that Noah loves her. He is a very handsome man, even majestic. And he is telling her now that he loves her. She thinks she is not pretty enough for someone like Noah to even like her. And how about Mar? What would he think about this? She doesn't want Mar to be upset. She knows that Mar is really jealous of Noah. Things are really complicated for her.

"Ren, I know I may have surprised you with this sudden confession. I really do love you. As I said, you don't have to answer now." Noah then stood up.

Ren whose still in shocked, cannot even speak a word. She just looked at Noah.

"Please don't turn me down. Think about it first. I will be going now. See you again some other day." Noah said while smiling.

He then walked to the door and seen Mar just outside.

"Hey." He told Mar. "I've confessed my feelings for her. I know that you don't like me and you don't really want anybody to be her mate besides you, but I know I can make things for her. I can make sure she's safe and your son with your help. If she accepts me as her mate, I will make sure to provide for the family."

Mar think for a moment before he speaks. "It's not my decision to make. But if she will, I won't protest."

Noah smiled, "Thank you Mar. Let's be friends for Ren's sake."

"Hmm, I will if she accepts you. After all, I won't have a choice." Mar answered.

Noah laughed. "Okay, I will leave now."
