Chapter 1

It's Jason's first day at Bells High and he's all pumped and all for all the new people he's going to meet and the new friends he's going to have. His mom drops him off at 7am and he walks to the principal's office to get directions on how to get to his class. "Um, good morning ma'am", he says as he walks into the office. "Oh, you must be Jason Stark", the principal says as she looks up from the files she was going through. "Yes I am", Jason said. "Come with me, I'll show you your classroom", the principal said. They walked up the stairs and arrived at Jason's class. There were a bunch of students just conversing when Jason walked in. For some reason, Jason remained quiet. His friendly, jovial attitude just was not kicking in and he didn't seem to be bothered. Just as he was about to walk out of the classroom, a girl stops him. "Hi, I'm Jesse", the girl said. "Jason, nice to meet you", he replied "Same", Jesse replied. The bell went off for the morning assembly and everyone was to go to the hall for the assembly. "Come on, let's go", Jesse said grabbing Jason's hand, leading him through the cluster of students in the hallway. Finally they arrived at the assembly hall and the principal gave the announcements for the new school year. She also read out the rules and regulations for the new transfer students. Within a short period, the assembly was over and Jason walked back to class with Jesse. It seemed his friendly nature was starting to kick in, he had made a new friend. Maybe it was a coincidence but their seats were next to each other so this sort of cemented their friendship. "So, what school did you transfer from?", Jesse asked Jason. "Berry M. High", he replied. "Oh cool, I know some people there", Jesse said. "Cool", he replied. Just then, their class teacher walked in. "Good morning class, I am your class teacher, Mr. Scott. Apart from being your class teacher, I will also take you Math. We will also be meeting her for morning assemblies unless the principal calls a general one. Any questions?" The class was silent. "In absence of no questions, you are all dismissed, but you may wait here until the bell goes off, so you don't get into trouble with the hall monitors." "He seems nice, I think I'll like it here", Jason thought to himself. "Hey, you got a timetable yet?", Jesse asked Jason. "Um, no, not yet", he replied. "Oh shoot, you could use mine for today, then we'll get yours done after school", Jesse said. "Great, thanks a lot", Jason replied. Just then, the bell rang. "Come on, we have Biology class. We usually do it in the Biology laboratory", Jesse said. "Lead the way", Jason replied. 

[In the Biology Laboratory]

"Good morning class, my name is Mr. Johnson and I will be taking you Biology. Before we begin, I notice a new face in my class today, would you like to introduce yourself, he said pointing at Jason". Um, okay. "My name is Jason Stark, I transferred here from Berry M. High", Jason said. "Well, just don't fail my class and we have no problems, okay?", Mr. Johnson said. "Yes sir, I understand", Jason replied. 

[The class went on for one hour, then the bell rang]
