In the name of world's biggest party poopers, cheers!

"Hold on a second! You really did that?!! That too in front of everyone?!!! Wow!" Betty almost shouted into Ayana's ear as they grabbed their drinks together.

The office meal at top floor was already over, but since there were so many people around, Ayana never got the chance to meet the higher ups. It was as if, there was an indestructible wall between them. Even the food looked too fancy to properly digest, and with all the mannerism and formal greetings it rather felt suffocating to be there.

Since both of them were feeling like throwing up any second, they planned to go to the bar at base floor instead, and spend some actual good time there. Everything was on the office bill anyways, so they didn't had a single piece to care.

"Geez, you almost pierced my eardrum! And what's with that overreaction? I simply did what he deserved." Ayana said while stirring the cold whiskey in her hand.

"Hehe sorry! It seems I am already drunk... Tch! I wanted to drink some more." Betty said after completing her last sip and continued.

"Okay. So in short, after their conversation ended, you showed in front of them out of nowhere, and SPLASH! You threw a whole jar of water on that jerk. As if that wasn't enough, you even blurted out that embarrassing incident of him wetting his pants on rollercoaster in front of everyone! Bwahaha! That's so like you! Though, I am quite surprised you didn't raised your fist this time."

"Yeah yeah, if you're done, would you mind if I enjoy my drink a little?" Ayana said sarcastically and ordered another glass. Betty looked at her for a moment but soon averted her gaze and ordered a fresh lemonade.

"Hey, I didn't mean it what I earlier said...." Betty muttered to which Ayana replied too after a pause.

"I know. It's just that I am quite in a mood today."

They both stared at their glasses in hand and listened to the annoying music and people shouting at the back.

"Sigh, anyways, I think it's time to go home. You wanna come along?" Betty proposed after chugging the whole glass in one shot and stood up from her place.

"No, I think I'll stay here for a bit. Don't worry, I'll be fine. You can go ahead. I booked a cab in advance too." Ayana relaxed her position as she said, and waved her phone in front of her.

"Well, if you say so. Anyway, good night then."

"Yeah, good night."

They both bid farewell and Ayana finally got the chance to sober alone. All those flashbacks hit back of her head with each time she took a bitter sip, hoping it would be her last time watching them.

Without even realising, she went completely drunk with no guards. Her eyes were staring at the colourful bottle of alcohol and the noise around was automatically blocked as if an invisible thick glass covered her ears. Her head was spinning like crazy and her vision was getting blurrier.

'I loved him so much, only so that he could cheat on me someday! As if things weren't bad, to make it worse why did he chose that b*tch from my college years?! She was the one I hated the most in my entire life! I even once told him about that, so why?!... Did he do that on purpose?!!'

As Ayana was deeply lost in her world, suddenly a person called her from behind. "Excuse me, is there anyone sitting here?" He asked.

Ayana almost flinched from sudden call and turned around to yell at him for disrupting her thoughts. But as she saw his huge body silhouette, she stepped back from fear and responded cautiously.

"Yeah, it's my friend's seat. She's gone for the bathroom."

Ayana indicated the man to go away and look for another seat, but the man rather did the opposite and sat right next to her.

"One Scotch please." He ordered.

"Hey! Didn't I told you the seat's taken?!" Ayana roared.

"Hmm? But there's no such rule. Is there?" The man said while looking at the bartender. Obviously there was no response from the other side of the counter, which made the matter settle instantly.

'Then why did you bother asking then?!' she hissed angrily.

For a moment, Ayana kept staring at him, cursing internally, but pulled herself back as it was meaningless. She was too tired to get into an argument.

Instead, she concentrated on her honey gold whiskey and chugged it up like an alcoholic maniac.

"So, what are you doing here? I thought the office party was on top floor" The husky voice called her again. Ayana first blankly stared at front as if someone called her but don't know from where. Finally realising the voice came from her left side she turned and pointed at the man with finger.

"...how do you know?"

"What?" He was perplexed.

"That I am here for an office party." Ayana questioned him as tides of tension raised within her mind. Is he a stalker?!

"Ah. I actually saw you above when we were dining. I am an employer too you see. By the way you looked quite pale back then. Are you okay?...Even though you look pretty fine to me as of now." There was hesitancy in his speech.

'Is he mocking me? Ugh! I can't tell' Ayana squinted her eyes repeatedly to clear her blurry vision, but no matter how many times her eyes strained, she couldn't examine his expressions at all! To not put her into a vulnerable spot, she immediately straightened her back from confidence and pretended to not be drunk.

"Oh so that's how!" Ayana took a sigh of relief and introduced herself with a bright smile. "Hi! I am Ayana Shekhar from marketing team. You?"

The change in her behaviour made the man taken aback for a moment, but later he introduced himself too.

"Hello, my name's Kevin." His response ended abruptly.

His face expression seemed as if he was smiling, but Ayana couldn't tell anything at this moment as she was too drunk to notice anything.

"So Kevin. Hmmm... What did you asked me again?" She said with her head wobbling sideways.

"...I asked did you not enjoy today's office party? I heard company put a lot of money this time." He asked again but as soon as he finished, Ayana landed on his shoulders subconsciously for support.

The man flinched and was about to help her sit straight, when suddenly Ayana stood up on her own in reflex and placed her head on the counter instead. She was now gazing at the ice cubes sparkling from light.

"Yeah. I did felt uneasy because it was so suffocating there. You see, I recently had my breakup with a jerk whom I loved since childhood. So I thought, maybe spending some time at a fancy restaurant would be fun. But guess what? It's actually worse here. I had to keep in mind every action I took, one wrong step and I would be given the title of a clown next day. So I left with my friend." She started blabbering her whole long story in one breath.

After completing her rap, she took a deep breath and started tapping the brim of glass to ask for an another refill. The bartender hesitated at first, but being a rookie he didn't wanted to upset his peers from customer complaint.

"Do you attend party like these often?" She continued and giggled upon seeing the golden liquor pour down so beautifully.

The man flinched upon her question at first, as if something got triggered within him but he managed to reply anyway.

"Yes." His response ended abruptly again as if this marked the end of their conversation for real. But being drunk, Ayana didn't catched even a slightest hint of it and tried to pry in further.

"Do you like it?" She asked gleefully as if she was truly enjoying this conversation for strange reasons.

She waited but the man didn't responded anything. Was his answer no? Or was he simply ignoring her at this point? Ayana didn't care.

Instead, she unexpectedly burst into laughter and asked him to lay down his head on counter like her immediately. The man looked puzzled upon her words and wished to change his seat, but as she kept on insisting to do so, he ended up doing it too and raised his glass for a toast upon her orders.

"In the name of world's biggest party poopers, cheers!" Their glasses kissed as she yelled.
