My Princess

*Flashback

<3 years ago>

"Liah! Liah!" her mom shouted from downstairs.

"Why are you shouting, mom?" Liah came covering her ears.

"Your dad forgot to take these files. He was working on them the whole night." her mom explained.

"So..." Liah asked, confused.

"Take it to his office. He must be panicking." her mom ordered.

"Mom... can't Nathan take them, I have assignments." Liah sighed.

"Liah Nathan is 12. Please, I will bake you your favorite cookie, " her mom offered.

"Deal. I want 12. Just for me. I will not share with anyone, " Liah said excitedly. Her mom just giggled. She knew she wouldn't eat all of it herself.

"Yeah Yeah, you will eat all of it by yourself," she replied sarcastically.

"I am going then." Liah left the house.

"Where are they?? Arghhhhh... I swear I put them here," Liah's dad was frustrated. Suddenly his office phone rang.

"Mr. Anderson, I am waiting for you, " David said firmly.

"I .....am....coming....sir," Liah's dad panicked.

"DAD.....DAD...DAD," Liah shouted.

"What are you doing here, Liah, and why are you running?" Liah's dad asked, worried.

"You...forgot....these..." she was breathing heavily. Her dad's face immediately lit up. He hugged her tightly.

"Oh, Liah, you are amazing. You saved me. I owe you," her dad exaggerated.

"You do, I was working on my assignment," she huffed, holding her waist.

"I know how to pay you back. Wait for me here. I will take you shopping, ok?" he said excitedly.

"Really?!" she clapped. He chuckled at her before replying.

"Yes, cupcake," he messed her hair.

"Okay, I will wait here," she replied, and he went to David's office to deliver the papers.

Little did they know that their conversation was being heard by David. He was frozen at his spot. Her voice had some effect on him. He wanted to hear her voice again.

Liah noticed that the phone was not closed. She was about to call her dad but he was already gone. She picked it up and put it near her ear.

"Hello.." she spoke. David was still listening.

"Mr. Anderson is gone now. Can you call later?" she spoke again. David's heart was beating fast. He couldn't utter a word. He wanted to listen to her voice. Suddenly, someone called her.

"Liah?!" it was another employee.

"Mrs. Brown," she said, smiling. The woman hugged her.

"How are you, my child?" she asked her lovingly.

"I'm good," she replied.

"What brings you here?" the woman asked, caressing her hair.

"Dad forgot some documents. I brought them,"

"Your dad and his memory. I'm sure he will forget how to write and read," she sarcastically said, making Liah laugh loud. David's heart starts beating ten times faster.

"Mrs. Brown, you're funny," she commented

"I know, honey. What are you waiting for then?"

"Dad promised to take me shopping,"

"Good, I will leave then. Bye," she waved at her.

"Bye," Liah waved back. She turned around and noticed that the phone was still up. David wanted to hear her voice more, but unfortunately, she had already hung up. David was lost. Her voice kept echoing in his ears.

"Mr. Adams... Mr. Adams," Liah's dad kept calling him. He flinched. "I am here with the reports." He kept on

"Okay. By the way, who is that girl?" David asked, pointing to the girl who was sitting on a chair looking at her phone.

"She is my daughter, she brought me the reports," he explained.

"Good. She looks young. How old is she?" he asked, not moving his eyes from her.

"She will be 17 this October," her dad replied.

"She is too young and beautiful," he whispered the last word, scanning her every single movement.

"But she is wise despite her age," her dad smiled proudly. "I wanted to ask for a day off, sir. I wanted to take her shopping. Can I?" He continued.

"Sure... sure. Make sure you buy her everything she wants. After all, she helped our company," David said, still looking at her. "I will pay," He said in a commanding tone.

"You don't ha....." her dad's words were cut 6 David.

"You know I don't take no for an answer," David replied coldly

"Okay, thank you, sir." he was about to go when David asked, "What is her name?"

"Liah," he replied shortly

"You can go now," David commanded. Liah's dad rushed down for his daughter.

'Liah' her name formed real a smile on the corner of his lips for the first time in years.

Liah stood up, looking at her dad, who was coming towards her smiling. She smiled at him.

"Ready Miss Liah Anderson," her dad asked her, smiling.

''Yes, Mr. Kelvin Anderson" she smiled back.

"Ah, by the way, thank my boss. He is covering your expenses. Feel free to ask anything. " he smiled.

"REALLY?! OMG...OMG...TODAY IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!" Liah jumped like a baby. "Your boss is a nice person." She said, smiling.

Her every action made David smile. He never moved his eyes from her. His heart was beating fast. He wanted to touch her. He wanted to hold her. He wanted to be loved by her. Only her.

"Cancel all my plans for today," he said to his assistant on his way out.

"Sure, sir,"

He then started following Liah and her dad. The mall was not that far from their company which was also David's mall, so they were walking there. She was jumping all the way, and David found it cute. When they reached the mall, Liah's eyes fell on a dress that was displayed in a Gucci store. She wanted to buy it but at the same time, she didn't want to bother her dad. David noticed that and called the receptionist inside that store.

*O.T.P

"Hello, sir. How may I help you?" she asked politely.

"Do you see the girl in a white dress?" he asked. She went out of the store and noticed her since she was going in the store's direction.

"The one who is with an older guy," she wanted to confirm.

"Yeah, her. Call her and give her the red dress hanging in front," he commanded. "Don't tell her it was me," he added.

"What should I tell her then?" she was confused.

"Tell her you looked at her and thought this dress was made for her," he responded, looking at her.

"Okay then," she hung up. She then went out of the store and approached Liah.

"Yeah," Liah asked, confused.

"Sorry, I was looking at you from that store, and you are so beautiful," she complimented her.

"T ... Thanks," she replied, looking at her dad. He smiled at her.

"There is a dress I want you to try," she said politely.

"Thanks, but," she didn't let her finish.

"Please," she begged. Liah looked at her dad one more time.

"Why not?" he said cheerfully, and they pulled her to the store. Liah widened her eyes in shock when she saw it was a Gucci store.

"Dad it is," she didn't get to finish her sentence.

"It's ok," he assured her, and the receptionist gave her the red dress she laid her eyes on.

"I was thinking how this dress was made for you when I saw you," she explained, giving her the dress. "If you fit in it, I will give you for free,"

"You don't have to," she tried to argue.

"I insist," the receptionist said firmly. Liah didn't get to argue that much. She went to the dressing room and changed into the dress. All eyes went on her as she came out wearing that dress. David's jaw almost hit the floor. His heart started beating faster than ever. He took his phone out and took some pictures of her. Every shot he took turned out beautiful making his smile wider than before. She looked like a princess to him.

"God, you look amazing," the receptionist clapped.

"You made the dress beautiful," her dad complimented. She just kept smiling.

"Thanks. I'm gonna take it off now," she went back to the dressing room and a few moments later she came back wearing the clothes she wore. She gave the receptionist the dress and she put it in a plastic bag.

"How much is it?" her dad asked.

"I told you it's for free," she smiled.

"I don't want to get you into any trouble my child. Tell me the price," he argued.

"You're not gonna get me into any trouble. Plus it looks perfect for her," she was not backing down.

"Are you sure?" he asked again

"One hundred percent, sir," she cheerfully replied and gave them the bag.

"Thank you so much," Liah said and they left the store. The receptionist noticed that Liah has forgotten her scarf and went to give her. But to her surprise, David blocked her from going.

"She forgot this," she said with the scarf in her hands.

"I'll give it to her," he snatched it and continued following them. They went straight to their home since Liah didn't want anything else. He saw them going inside and then sniffed her scarf.

"You smell like a princess. My princess," he smirked and left from there. He then went to his home assigning someone to report her every single moment. He was smiling and laughing like an idiot recalling her cute actions. When he reached home, he was welcomed by his mother sitting on the couch sipping her wine.

"Good evening, my son," she mocked.

"Good evening, my mom," he mocked back. "So what brings you here? Did you miss me?" he questioned jokingly.

"Honey that only happens in your wildest dreams," she answered with a smug on her face.

"What is it then?"

"Today is your birthday. I came here to wish for you," she said sipping her wine.

"I thought you hated that day,"

"I do. I wish you a long sad and painful life," she smiled as she got up.

"You already granted that a long time ago," he sadly replied.

"I hate you. I came here to remind you that no matter how much money you make, you will always be worthless. No one will ever love you," she said looking dead into his eyes.

"You sure, mom?" he asked as he remembered Liah.

"Your own mother failed to love you. Who would you think will be that naive to love you?" she raised a question pitifully.

"I got my birthday gift today mom. Don't you think someone loves me?" he smirked.

"I don't see any gift in your hands," she scanned his hands.

"I got my princess today. The one who loves me," he said proudly making her burst into laughter.

"You have a wild imagination, David," she wiped her invisible tears.

"And you really hate me," he spoke.

"Anyways, you're getting tired. Go to sleep," she patted his shoulders and left his house. He immediately opened his phone and started looking at her pictures.

"My princess will love me," he said after kissing her photo.
