1 Jessy's new school

Mrs Ayra tightens the dress for Jessy properly as she whined.

"Mum, I'm not a baby anymore. I can do all these by myself," Jessy complained.

Mrs Ayra was not hearing any of it as she busied herself in Jessy's dress.

It was Jessy's first day at high school and she wanted Jessy to make a good impression of herself.

Jessy knew she could not talk her mother out of dressing her so she let the middle aged woman do her job. After all, it was hers right from the beginning.

Jessy was anxious about this day but she refused to let her mother know about it. She didn't want to disturb the woman about something as meaningless as this. Unlike Mrs Ayra, Jessy was blonde. She had a long blonde hair, while her mother had black hair. It was just the length that was same. They both had long hair. People said she looks like her father and she knew better than to agree with that. Her father had divorced her mother a long time ago, when she was only five. She had a vague memory about him. She and her mom had moved to a small town in New York. Jessy had few friends who come around once in a while.

Today, she was starting a new high school which she got on scholarship. It was for the rich kids and she wondered if she was ever gonna fit in there. She was nervous. If it hadn't been for the scholarship, her mother would have put her in one if those cheap private schools. She dreaded the thought of that. She had always been a girl who wanted the best in life. And why this scholarship came in board, I she was ecstatic. It was like a dream come true. She hadn't slept a wink the night before. She planned how her life was gonna turn out. She was over the moon. Although Mrs Ayra wasn't too happy about that, but she saw how happy her child was and she just let it go. She knew how those rich kids would be. She didn't want her baby girl bullied. It would be tragic.

"baby girl, if you don't like the school, I could change it you know?" She had said.

"What are you saying mum? This is a dram cone true. I could finally fit into something good. Don't worry mum, I'll love it," she assured her mother.

Mrs Ayra wasn't too sure about that but she kept mute. She didn't want to spoil the happy moment so she let her be.

"Mum, hurry up, I'm Kare for school," Jessy said, frowning.

"Yeah, I'm done," she replied and did the finishing touch. She smiled and let her go. She watched as Jessy walked through the door and smiled at her. She would have loved to drop her off but she knew Jessy would decline. She stopped drooling her off at school since she was thirteen. It was the moment she had all been waiting for. The moment Jessy would enter high school.

As soon as Jessy entered the school on her bike, everyone passing by looked at her in admiration. That was the thing with her mother. She knew fashion. Her mother was a fashionista. Jessy got all the courage she needed and climbed down the bike. She walked up the stairs and before she could reach for the hallway, she bumped into someone. It was a girl her age. Although this girl was beautiful, she seemed a little scared.

"I'm so sorry," she pleaded as she bent to pick up her books that fell down on the floor.

Jessy looked at her for a moment, I contemplating if she should just leave her or talk to her. She decided for the latter. She bent down and helped the girl pick up her books.

"it's OK. You don't have to appear so scared," she said in an encouraging voice.

When they both stood up, she gave Jessy an encouraging smile.

Jessy's POV

I walked up the stairs and before I could even reach for the hallway, I bumped into someone. It was a girl my age. Although this girl was beautiful, she seemed a little scared.

"I'm so sorry," she pleaded as she bent to pick up her books that fell down on the floor.

I looked at her for a moment, contemplating if I should just leave her or talk to her. She looked as if she was running away from someone. What would happen if I talk to her? I decided to give it a shot. I bent down and helped the girl pick up her books.

"it's OK. You don't have to appear so scared," I said in an encouraging voice, hoping it would ease the tension.

When we both stood up, she gave me an encouraging smile. She was so beautiful with her red hair and full lips. It was like I was looking at the face of a goddess. She had long red hair and thin waist. I could tell she had a good fight even with the baggy jeans she was wearing. She had round eyes that could melt ones heart.

I smiled back at her. "Uh...my name is Jessy," I said, extending my hand for a handshake.

She gently took it and smiled. She hurriedly left without even telling me her name or saying anything else to me. She was such a weird character.

I continued my journey down the hall. I went over to a student who I saw leaving on the wall with a girl, who was obviously his girlfriend. I walked up to the duo. They stared at me like I was some bozo and I pretended to be oblivious of their stares.

"Hello," I said, I clearing my throat.

The girl stared at me in concern. "Are you lost?"

"Not really, I wanted to ask where the principal office is," I asked, unsure of what else to say.

"You're almost there, just turn left, I the first door you see, is the principal office. I see you're new here," she stated.

"Yeah, my name is Jessy," I said

"Sofia, but my friends call my Sofie." she said and smiled. "and this is my boyfriend Dylan,"

I noticed her boyfriend hadn't spoken to throughout but I didn't care. And he was a knockout. So damn cute. I think I'm going to enjoy this school. I thought as I walked off.
