Chapter 15 - History of Numazu!!

(Leon POV)

It was over....phew...I made it out just fine now we left to help the others in need of assistance...maybe the library I wouldn't die or get killed...

I just remembered I helped Ruby and Hanamaru with books yesterday so they must be here...oh hold on better ask before going in...

"Excuse me, Hanamaru and Ruby are you guys in here?" I asked confused Leonidas and Ruin were holding plates covered in a wrap...

"Yeah, we are here zura!" Hanamaru yelled "I see you're making use of the books you borrowed. Researching something?" I asked confused "We are. come on in" Hanamaru said smiled "Hello, Leo-Senpai I had a lot of fun yesterday" Ruby said (...That's been a while since I been called that...) I thought nervously chuckled "We only carried books to the school but who I'm to judge if that's fun to you," I said chuckled "N-No really! I had a lot of fun talking to you and Hanamaru about writing!" Ruby yelled, "Also...first of all, are you okay zura?" Hanamaru asked concerned expression "Huh?" I asked confused "...We heard what happened Riko founded you we thought..." Ruby timidly said flinched hugging me tightly "..." I said nothing but smiled eyes closed stroke Ruby hair "Hey I'm alright and next time Leonidas and I will be ready with Ruin too isn't that right buddy," I said "Yeah!" Both yelled "Sorry for worrying you Ruby and you too Hanamaru" I said nervously chuckled "I'm just glad to see you and Leonidas okay zura" Hanamaru said smiled "I also had a great time yesterday talking with you two plus importantly did you two head home alright?" I asked concerned "Yeah I made it home okay thanks for asking zura" Hanamaru said smiled "I had Ruin and my sister who was still at the school so yeah I was okay," Ruby said wiping her tears away "Don't worry if there's danger once again we will protect you guys and Leon!" Ruin yelled, "That's right I'm gonna kick that Scorpios scorpion butt!" Leonidas yelled as we all laughed...

"Hm, something smells wonderful?" Hanamaru asked confused "It does what an alluring aroma," Ruby said smiled "I was helping Yoshiko and You with the festival food prep," I said smiled "They were delicious" Ruin said "I agree," Leonidas said, "Oh yeah they were in charge of food weren't they?" Ruby asked confused "Yep I thought outside opinion would be nice although I kinda forgot this was a library..." I said nervously "It's alright zura we will eat once we get to classroom," Hanamaru said smiled "Did they make the final decision on what they wanted to make?" Ruby asked confused "Yeah yakisoba, takoyaki, and frozen mikan. Since yakisoba and frozen mikan were good they approved. The takoyaki need some adjustments though" I said sweatdrop "Takoyaki zura?" Hanamaru asked confused "Yoshiko made it," I said "PIGGGGIIII!!" Ruby yelled flinched "Don't tell me that super spicy takoyaki that set made Ruby mouth fire cursed us again zura!!" Hanamaru yelled "You experience that hell too?! You poor th-I mean Yoshiko made some few changes so it's not that level of spicy anymore" I said "A-Are you sure nothing bad will happen to me when I eat it?" Ruby asked flinched "It's fine. You and I already tried it so we should be good" I said smiled "Only a fallen angel would make a dish that makes you worry more than your own life than the taste of it zura..." Hanamaru said sweatdrop (Tell me about it...) I thought "Anyway what you two are working on anyway?" I asked confused with Leonidas and Ruin setting their food down at the table for later...

"We're writing a script for tourism information broadcast. It's going to be air the day of Summer Festival" Ruby said "A tourist guide??? No wonder you had a lot of books. A lot of people coming from different places will be coming, that's who you're making it for, right?" I asked smiled "Yes we want everyone to know the best parts of Numazu!" Ruby yelled "Ruby is going to be one reading the broadcast," Hanamaru said smiled "Woah, is she? I can't wait to hear it!" I yelled shocked "Oh I'm not that cool...Hanamaru wrote most of the script though..." Ruby said sweatdrop "It's fun for me, so don't worry about it zura. I'm writing it so that cutie-pie voice of yours can shine Ruby!" Hanamaru yelled, "What's the guide all about anyway??" I asked confused "I thought it would be a good idea to outline the history of Numazu so people can know what a great place this is zura" Hanamaru said "History?? That might be interesting for first-time visitors plus I love history! What sort of stuff you know??" I asked curiously...

"Numazu has a long history. Plus a lot of them think of Mt.Fuji when they think of Numazu but they can't forget about Mt.Ashitaka, either zura!" Hanamaru yelled, "Is Mt.Ashitaka the mountain you can see beside Mt.Fuji?" I asked confused "Correct, zura. In fact, people been living in this area since 50,000 to 35,000 years ago, from the middle to late paleolithic age" Hanamaru said "84 ruins and over 300 remnants of villages believed to be at the time have discovered around Mt.Ashitaka. The type of density is apparently rare" Hanamaru said (She's really good at this isn't she) Leonidas thought (Yeah really good though) I thought noticed Ruby was well getting confused... "The geography used to be different, too. It was an ice age back then, so sea level was lower which mean the elevations was...." Hanamaru started to say and well she's super close to me as I was sweating a little bit "P-PIGGIIII!!" Ruby yelled and well it scared Hanamaru a little jump head into me then both flinched eyes widened stared at each other...

"...A-Aahhh???" Hanamaru said red face "WHA??" Ruby asked shocked expression Ruby was on top of me as I rubbed my head in pain noticed her (...I just got flashed and it's only the like 5th day...I'm so going to hell) I thought red face "PIIGIIIIIII!!" Ruby yelled "Ruby!" I yelled as Hanamaru flinched hug me "Sorry" Ruby said sweatdrop "T-Though zura why you did that earlier anyway???" Hanamaru asked "I think it's because even how cute you were explaining all of that it kinda didn't help Ruby to understand it all," I said sweatdrop "C-Cute??? zura??" Hanamaru asked red face "You didn't see anything did you zura...?" Hanamaru "No I didn't Hanamaru," I said (LIARR!!) Leonidas thought (SHUT UP I AIN'T TRYING TO DIE AGAIN!) I thought annoyed at Leonidas "Although it's too much for information for even Ruby" I said "You think so? I actually cut a lot of information from her advice" Hanamaru said confused "It's not that people would understand or not...." I said "It needs to be more compact. At this rate, we won't be able to finish the history of Numazu by the time the festival which is three weeks away..." Ruby said sweatdrop "Right. And for the tourist information, wouldn't be good to locate and include famous or local spots products? I think that most people are interested in delicious food and beautiful scenery when they go to new places" I said smiled "I see! Food is the first thing I think of when traveling zura!" Hanamaru yelled "I'm more of aesthetics. But delicious food at Numazu has to be seafood right? The sashimi and fried food are good" I said "Yummy, we even have deep-sea fish in the menu zura!" Hanamaru yelled "The mikan are good too. I helped Chika carry some back to the ryokan. Yoshiko apparently hates them for some reason" I said confused "Yoshiko ate too many mikans and now she hates them" Ruby said bored expression "Oh I see so that what happened" I said bored expression too

"Though the mikan here is so sweet. There are even special types of mikan which are only grown here in Numazu" Ruby said smiled "Now I think about it we have so much delicious food around us here in Numazu zura" Hanamaru said "The ocean and Mt.Fuji is a really beautiful view too. The size of Fuji, the sheer blue of the ocean...it really makes an impact on me" I said smiled "Right! Thanks. Now I can good script for the tourist, zura!" Hanamaru yelled, "And it will be great practice for writing your novel for the anthology!" I yelled "The anthology? oh right zura..." Hanamaru said (Hmmm???) I thought confused "Well I will leave you, girls, to it. Leonidas and Ruin come on we got to go. I'm gonna take a walk with them till your practice starts alright" I said "Okay" Both said as we left...

"Did Hanamaru look down a bit?" Ruin asked confused "Yeah I realized that too but for now I got something else on my mind something is watching us the entire time," I said glaring down "Same here let's keep our guard up..." Leonidas said "Right," All said...
