The Vampire Guy

Blair moaned in pain. Her head was killing her. She looked around to find herself in their room. She couldn't remember anything from the previous night except that she went out drinking with Jessica. After that, everything was blank. As usual, Calvin wasn't in the room. Thinking that he must be at the pool taking laps like he always did every other morning, she began her routine.

She searched all over the house but Calvin was nowhere to be found. He didn't pick up his phone nor he left any message about his whereabouts. There was no food in the kitchen and the dishwasher was also empty, meaning he didn't cook. 'He didn't even have breakfast.' A part of her was was getting worried.

'There must be an emergency, that's why he left like that.' She assured herself.

...

Loving someone who doesn't love you back, that thing hurts. But you know what hurts more? Loving someone who's already in love with someone else.

Calvin sat in his office, resting his head on his desk. That kiss from the previous night kept running in his mind. He couldn't sleep at all, nor did he felt like eating anything. His emotions were a mess and he couldn't think straight.

He was angry, angry at himself that he let himself get fooled like that. He knew Blair loved Raiden so why did he think that confession, that kiss was for him. It felt as if someone was squeezing his heart. He put a hand over the left side of his chest and rubbed the spot a little. It was hurting, for real.

'Is this how it feels to be heartbroken?'

...

Blair grinned proudly at the plate in her hands. Generally, Calvin got home before her and cooked for them but that day, the house was empty when she reached home and she still couldn't contact him. She remembered how she had thought of putting more efforts and trying to make their marriage work so it was the perfect moment to step up.

She called up Joanne to ask her about his eating preferences and after lots of hardwork, she had the delicious looking results in her hands. It wasn't as fancy as he liked but she was pretty sure he would appreciate it. It was her first time cooking something so she wasn't sure if it would taste good but she was satisfied with the efforts she put. She was a fast learner so it wasn't that hard.

As she was setting up the table, he arrived. She smiled wide at his sight. "Where did you go, I couldn't reach you. Anyways, look I made us dinner." She sounded like a happy child, pointing at the food on the table. Alfredo pasta with mushrooms and corn salad, that were his favorites. But why would she make it? She didn't like cooking in the first place.

"Does he like these?"

"Huh?"

"These are my favourite, does your Raiden likes them too? Is that why you made them?"

"What type of question is that?" She was taken back by his words. His way of talking was different. His voice was filled with anger and spite. "Did something happen? You sound mad..." She tried to touch his arm but he pulled it back.

"It must be for him right? Just like that confession, last night." His voice became harder and harder as he spoke. Blair was confused, she couldn't recall anything that had happened but from his words, she guessed she had done something very wrong.

"It's for you, Calvin. Mom said yo-"

"You kissed me." He cut her off. Her eyes widened in shock. She kissed him while being drunk! But was he upset just because of that?

"You kissed me and you said, 'I love you Raiden.'" He spoke 'Raiden' slowly and clearly as if showing her what she did wrong. That's why he was so angry. She cursed herself in her mind. She was stupid, the stupidest person on the earth. How could she do that to him. Ofcourse he would be hurt and angry.

"It was just a drunken mistake." She argued and grabbed his arm, refusing to let go. It was all her fault and she had to fix it. "I probably didn't mean it." She kept making excuses, feeling desperate. He chuckled bitterly at her words and snatched his arm away.

"I'm done talking with you." He began to walk out of the room when she called him again.

"Atleast eat something, I wouldn't be able to finish this all by myself."

"Then throw it away."

Seeing that she cooked his favourite meal, one day ago he would have been happy and flattered but now, he knew better. He had decided he wouldn't let himself get hurt, he wouldn't get his hopes up anymore. Even if it meant he had to push away the person he loved.

...

"Hey Casey, looking sexy." Wan commented pulling Casey in a corner and squeezing her butt. She turned around and hit his shoulder. "Go do your work. Stop bothering me." She playfully showed him away. He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.

"You know, there is a girl who's been on my mind a lot lately." He murmured against her dark painted lips.

"And who's the lucky girl?" She whispered leaning even closer. Her brown eyes bore into his blue ones.

"Stephanie." He whispered back.

She hit him again, this time with the tray she was holding. He let out a small scream and backed up.

"Your sexy ass girlfriend is right in front of you and you are thinking of some other girl!" She growled. He laughed loudly at her reaction. Jealousy Casey was hot Casey.

"CASEY! WAN! I DON'T PAY YOU GUYS FOR FLIRTING!" Their manager's voice boomed in their ears. The both jumped apart and began giggling. After catching their breaths, Casey went back to her waitressing and he went to assist his fellow bartenders.

"Hey man, did you find that bitch yet? The one who ran away with your money?" Percy questioned as he wiped the glasses next to Wan. He had asked his co-workers about Stephanie using a fake story. Blair had told him to keep it a secret, that he worked for her. No one but Casey was aware of the fact.

Blair was the person he respected the most. As a human, as a woman and as a lawyer. If it weren't for her, he would have been sitting in a cell. She pulled him out from the world of crime and gave him a second chance to lead a good life. She always paid him generously for every piece of useful information, she was sponsoring his sister's education and also sent her gifts once in a while. He had swore on his life to stay loyal to her.

"Give me a glass of any non alcoholic drink." A vampire said to him as he sat on a stool and put his hands on the counter. Wan noticed everything from his Balenciaga shirt to his expensive, shiny shoes. Their bar was a cheap one so why would a rich guy like him be there? That vampire guy was catching his interest.

Well, he wasn't a real vampire but definitely looked like one. With pale skin, red lips, dark eyes and hair, he was definitely a very handsome vampire. Wan moved his eyes from the vampire and continued to work on his non alcoholic beverage.

"Took you long enough, Ms. Stephanie." Wan's ears perked up at the vampire's comment. Stephanie? From the side of his eyes he could see a tall woman limping towards them. She was wearing shorts which made her disfigured leg clearly visible. His eyes widened. It was her, the same woman Blair had asked him to look for. He sneakyly pulled out his phone, pressed the record button and hid it behind some bottles of alcohol.

'Ms. Blair needs to know this.'
