Prologue

"Mom! Aine! Dad!" Saine shouts as she runs through her burning village, looking and tearfully searching for her family. Then a sudden massive shockwave caught her off guard blasting her miles away. Slamming into an obsidian formation creating a dent, she lost consciousness.

Saine wakes up confused for a second then quickly gets up only to fall down as quickly.

"I need to find them!" she grits her teeth and forces herself to stand up. Shakily she finally gets to her feet and takes an unsteady step and then another and so on. With her family in mind, she struggles to make her way to the village. She endures even when every breath she takes is like coals burning her lungs, and every step feels like nails are being hammered into her legs.

After what feels like an eternity, she is finally close to her village only to see human mages putting up strong barriers, laughing and chatting happily as they pile up the bodies of the villagers and set them on fire.

"STOP! SSTTTTTTOOOOOPPP!" Saine screams as she rushes towards the village. No matter how much she topples over and stumbles she continues to run. She wipes the blood that trickles down her eyes and glares at the human mages. She wishes that her glare have the power to kill at that moment.

Hearing the scream, the mages look and see a little demi-human rushing towards them, then they smirk. Thinking she's an easy target they all cast their favorite offensive spell toward her. It never even occur to them that she could evade their attacks. And that caused them dearly.

Saine nullifies all the incoming spell attacks and traps, and charges at the mages. Sacrificing her sanity and not caring for any backlash, she let out her 'primal instinct'. Instantly as her primal instinct takes over, she is able to swiftly twist off the head of three human mages with ease and kill most of the surrounding mages by savagely pulling their hearts out. Witnessing the brutal gory bloodshed, the remaining mages are quick enough to pull up barriers around themselves.

And yet, Saine even in her primal peak state is able to nullify their barriers slowly but surely. As soon as the rest realize this, they start to run away like chickens without heads. Saine with only one thought, 'kill', mercilessly goes after the mages ripping their hearts out or in some cases twisting their heads off.

When she is about to kill the last one, a sudden heavy blow from behind hits her head almost knocking her unconscious. She staggers, "Who?..." and then another hit from behind. This time she's knocked out for good but not before hearing the cowering last mage shouts happily, "Hero!".
