9 Official First Day

Everything had gone to a standstill. She slowly turn to face him. "Yes?" She replied.

"Ermmm actually I didn't quite catch your name earlier. Could you please tell me." Zeke asked making things kind of awkward.

"It's Tania." She said.

"Tania..., that's a nice name. I really liked the meal you prepared, it was nice. Thank you."

Tania froze the minute her name rolled off his tongue. It was so soothing to her ears, she wished she could hear it several times more.

"Oh ermm it was nothing you are welcome." She muttered.

Zeke nodded after her words.

"If the is nothing else I will take my leave." Tania said and immediately turn to leave.

"Do have a good rest." Zeke voiced out.

"Same, she replied without turning back as she walked half sprinting.

After Tania left the kitchen vicinity, Zeke picked up his jug which he had already filled and left for his room.

Tania returned to the maids quarters with a flustered expression. Her cheeks were burning red, she hurriedly arrived at the maids quarters without even her own knowledge. Her thoughts were of wandering somewhere else.

"Hey, are you sure you are okay?" Sandra who was coming out bumped into her and caught her in a daze state so she had to ask.

"Yeah, yeah I am." Tania replied with a sheepish smile then she proceeded inside where they all where. Some of them were already preparing to go to bed as they could be seen fixing their mattress and bedsheets ready for the night.

Tania noticed Vionna's absent she thought maybe Vionna was tired and immediately retired for her room to a get good night sleep, after all she had work the hardest today.

Tania slowly walked towards her bunk and laid down, not before taking off her uniform and shoes. She didn't have the strength for a midnight bath today. Her mind was jumbled up with different inner self questions which she failed to come up with answers to.

Not long after, the tiredness started to take an effect on her as she hit sleep immediately and dozed off.

The next morning.

It was the next day and this time Vionna didn't wait for any alarm to wake her up. The anxiousness of what she is going to face today crept up in her mind, making her wake up at sharp five, even before the others. Instead of using her extra time to sought herself out so that she can be prepared for work on time or more earlier, She practiced her apology and dialogue which she was going to say to him when she sees him today.

Of course it was inevitable, She is his personal maid for crying out loud and the is no f*cking way she can avoid him. She was even responsible for waking him up from his sleep, Bringing him his meals incase he didn't want to join the family in the hall.

Vionna thought she won't be surprised if his whole schedule will be given to her so she could know when to do what.

Her endless and never ending mistake apology which she kept practicing for hours continued until the clock striked sharp six, producing an huge 'Tick' sound, indicating a new hour. Which meant it was time to start her work.

The sound of the alarm in the other's room was clearly resounding loud enough that it penetrated into her room. She could tell they would have heard it by now and have long risen even before the alarm rang, especially Mia.

Vionna didn't want to sit there just dwadling to herself because she knew the others will suspect her for sure and know that something is going on with her.

She stood up and fixed herself, she gave a little more finishing touch to her dressed self with the aid of a mirror and immediately left the room after releasing a huge breathe out.

"Good morning guys." Vionna cheerfully greeted them all and they replied with a greeting too and some a slight nod.

"I can see you are truly ready for your job now as it fully begins today." Mia said with a wide smile and a little hint of a good luck wish for her.

Vionna's facials froze when she heard Mia's words but what can she do about it. The thought of her officially starting today scared her more than excite her. She sheepishly smiled before exploding into a pretensive laugh which went unnoticed by them all. "Yeah sure, I really can't wait."

"Hurry up and go on so you could attend to the young Master immediately." Mia urged her to move on.

"Sure, see you guys." She said leaving them to continue their work of preparing the family's breakfast.

Vionna slowly moved towards the direction of the room, flashes of last night kept popping up in her head making her steps slow the more.

One could see that she was totally reluctant to go in today. Unfortunately she arrived at the door quite fast. Just when she was about to pull out the key to open the door, her hand froze in mid air. She remembered the room now had an occupant and imagine she barged in in an unexpected scene. Many scenarios kept running through her mind untill she snapped out of it with a light shake of her head.

She braced herself one more time then lifted her hands and quietly knocked. Once, twice and then trice but no reply. She was already frustrated, Just when she raised her hand to knock again, the door slowly opened up making her halt her hands halfway.

What greeted her early morning sight was something she didn't expect at all, at least not on the first day.
