"How long do you plan to look at me like that?"

Elena immediately snapped back into reality and quickly looked away. She put her bowl up to her face and began gobbling down plain rice. Lu Chenjun smiled at her cute behavior and placed a chunk of beef into her bowl.

Elena peeked at Lu Chenjun over her bowl.

'Maybe he isn't too bad after all.'

The night went by smoothly, and Elena was able to quickly settle into her new living environment. The bed was huge, and she ended up using the blanket and pillows Lu Chenjun provided.

The next morning, Elena woke up extra early. She had left the car with Mila, so she didn't know how she would get herself to the filming location. When she went downstairs, the kitchen and dining room were empty.

Auntie Qin didn't think that Elena would wake up that early. Therefore, Elena decided to make her own breakfast. She cooked some fried rice, cold cucumber soup, and fried fish. She ate this for breakfast often when she was in Korea.

While she was studying the script and eating her breakfast, Auntie Qin came down.

Elena stood up and smiled at her, "Would you like to eat some breakfast? I made extra."

Auntie Qin immediately shook her head, "I'm so sorry. I didn't know you would wake up this early. I should have made breakfast."

Elena scratched her head, "It's okay. I enjoy cooking. Come and sit down."

Auntie Qin was hesitant at first to sit down but ended up eating breakfast next to Elena.

When Lu Chenjun appeared in the dining room, Auntie Qin immediately jumped up and bowed her head down.

Elena was confused at her actions and frowned at Lu Chenjun.

"I'm sorry Mr. Lu. I will wake up earlier tomorrow."

Lu Chenjun waved her apology away and sat down.

"If Yinghui is willing to make breakfast, you don't have to."

Auntie Qin's eyes widened in shock. Mr. Lu rarely ate breakfast, as he said he didn't have an appetite in the morning. She nodded before hurrying back to her room.

Elena put her hand up and tried to call Auntie Qin back, but she had exited the dining room and disappeared into her housekeeper bedroom.

"Lu Chenjun, I told Auntie Qin to come and eat with me. I'm lonely eating by myself."

That statement was partially true. She had eaten by herself almost every day in her three years of being a trainee. Although she was used to it, she didn't enjoy eating alone. It was hard to swallow the food without having someone to talk to and eat with.

"I told you not to worry. I'm not mistreating Auntie Qin. She has her food."

Elena frowned and put her chopsticks down, "I don't have a car anymore. How am I going to get to the filming location?"

"What about the one I gave you?" Lu Chenjun hadn't eaten so well in a long time. He really liked the fried rice and finished all of it by himself.

"I gave it to Mila. Why don't you buy me a new one?" Elena had said this as a joke and didn't really expect Lu Chenjun to buy her a completely new car.

Lu Chenjun didn't even think about it, "Sure. Pick one and tell Fang Shi to buy it for you."

Elena gulped, "I mean, you can also just take me to my filming location on the way to your company."

"I'll do that today."

Elena nodded and stood up. "I'm going to go get ready."

Filming went by smoothly, and Elena was enjoying her time chilling in her private changing room.

Su Yan had stopped picking on her and maintained a low-profile. She would film her scenes, and quickly leave when she was done.

Zhang Bing was generally quiet, but he never failed to smile at Elena whenever passing by her.

There were a lot of scenes to film that day, and they finished at 4 in the evening. Although Elena didn't have a part in all of the scenes, she did have an important role in the last one they will be filming. Therefore, she had to stay the entire day.

After a tiring day of filming, Elena was ready to go home and sleep on her comfy bed without any distractions. Elena and Mila walked out of the warehouse and found a black Mercedes-Benz waiting outside.

Fang Shi had opened the backseat and was waiting for Elena to come out. Mila waved goodbye to Elena before walking over to her car.

Elena turned over to Fang Shi and frowned, "How long have you been waiting?"

"Not long. Please get in the car. I will take you to the Jinlu Complex."

Elena entered the backseat and watched as Fang Shi closed the door and ran over to the driver's seat.

"Where is Lu Chenjun?"

Fang Shi thought about this for a moment, "He went out to eat dinner with a few of his business partners."

Elena nodded and leaned back against her seat.

The delicious smell of Auntie Qin's cooking reached Elena's nose as she stepped into the house. She ran over to the kitchen and greeted Auntie Qin.

"Hello, Miss Jin. The food will be ready in about five minutes."

Elena smiled at Auntie Qin and said, "You can call me Yinghui."

She picked up a piece of chicken with her hands and popped it into her mouth. Auntie Qin frowned at her action and told Elena to go wash her hands.

Elena went upstairs and removed her makeup. She changed into comfortable clothes before walking back down to the first floor.

Auntie Qin was setting up the table and called Elena over to eat. Elena sat down on her chair and picked up her chopsticks.

"I heard that Lu Chenjun is eating out tonight. Why don't you eat with me?"

Auntie Qin shook her head and smiled, "I should eat by myself."

Just as she straightened her back to leave, Elena grabbed onto her wrist. She tilted her head to the side like a puppy and said, "I don't like eating alone. Just think of it as doing me a favor."

Auntie Qin froze for a second and looked at Elena. Finally, she sighed and sat down.

Elena smiled gratefully and began eating.

After a while, Elena decided to break the silence. It was hard to digest food in this awkward situation.

"Auntie Qin, where are you from?"

Auntie Qin immediately stopped chewing, "I'm from the countryside."

"Oh. Do you miss it?"

Auntie Qin shook her head. "I am grateful to be here. Mr. Lu brought me here to work for him. It is a good thing that I didn't stay in the rural area my whole life. I will be forever loyal to Mr. Lu, as he helped me see the world from a new perspective."

Elena was surprised at her comment, "Auntie Qin, do you have a child or any relatives here?"

A hint of sadness and regret passed through her eyes, before she answered, "No. I wasn't able to get married while I was young, and I'm too old now."

Elena thought about this for a while. Auntie Qin didn't have a child, and she didn't really have a mother. Although they only met for about two days, Elena could tell that Auntie Qin was a genuine and considerate person.

"If you are fine with it, you could totally treat me as your relative. I will respect you."

Auntie Qin froze, and it seemed as if she was about to cry.

Elena immediately dropped her chopsticks, "Never mind. I'm sorry about that. I acted too rashly."

Auntie Qin smiled and put her hand over Elena's hand, "You are a great person, Yinghui. I don't want to replace your mother, but I will definitely take care of you well."

Elena smiled and she nodded.

The rest of the meal was silent, but Auntie Qin started to pick up food and place it into Elena's bowl. When she was young, Elena's mother would do the same. However, as she gradually got older, her mom began to stop doing so.

At first, Elena had thought that this was just because she was too old to have others pick up food for her. However, when she saw that her mother still placed food in Yingmo's bowl, she realized that it was because her mother was partial to her sister. This would have all not happened if it weren't for Yingmo's careful scheming and jealousy.

It seemed as if Lu Chenjun was bringing her good luck now. Su Yan had stopped picking on her, she was meeting new people, and she now had someone to rely on in this new city.
