59 We Got Robbed

Of course, it was because of love.

Mila silently shook her head as Elena began to film, her mind still thinking about how amazing it would be to live in Japan.

She frowned as she looked at Elena. Mila internally swore to herself that she would never fall in love. Wasn't it nice to just live alone and not have to worry about another person? Looking at Elena, Mila could tell that love wasn't an easy or pleasant thing.

When they were finished with filming, it was already 6 P.M. Elena brought Mila to the Korean barbecue restaurant Zhang Bing took her to.

Just like Elena, Mila was all compliments for the restaurant and the food.

It was almost eight when they arrived back in front of their apartment room door, and they were both extremely full and satisfied.

Elena immediately opened the door to her room and dropped her bag down onto the floor. Without looking, Elena flung herself onto her bed, not expecting to hit a bare and hard surface.

She moved her arms around and felt that something was wrong. Elena opened her eyes and looked around her empty room.

She became alert when she realized that all of her belongings were gone. Her toothbrush, her clothes, her towels, her bedsheets, and even her alarm was gone!

Elena ran out of her room and found Mila laying on the couch, her head slightly tilted so she could still see what was happening on the television show.

"Mila, I think we got robbed."

Mila immediately sat up straight and looked around nervously.

"Everything in my room is gone. It's empty, just like when we first moved in."

Mila stood up and walked into her room, "But my stuff is all still here."

Elena noticed the abnormal situation, "You're right. The expensive stuff in the living room and kitchen are still here. What type of person would just rob everything in one room and leave? My toothbrush is also gone! Which robber would steal a toothbrush?"

"Could it be your fan?" Mila couldn't even believe what she was saying. Although Elena did have fans here, it was unlikely that they would go to such a huge extent and rob her to get her attention.

"No way. How did they get the key to our room?" Suddenly, Elena's eyes lit up.

"I think I know who did this." Elena walked over to the couch and sat down, pulling out her phone to call someone.

Mila also rushed over, "Who? Who is it?"

The call immediately got through and Lu Chenjun's voice sounded, "Come over to get your items."

That was all he said before he hung up the phone. Elena glared at the screen with widened eyes before chucking the phone across the room. Fortunately, it landed on the carpet, decreasing the damage Elena's impulsive action could have caused.

Mila couldn't hear what Lu Chenjun said so she still didn't know what happened.

"Who is it? What happened?"

Elena got even more mad as she stood up and screamed, "Despicable! Shameless!"

She marched to the door and bent down to put on her shoes.

"You're going out again?"

"I have to! For some stupid reason, that idiot decided to move all my belongings back to the Jinlu Complex."

Mila gave her a perplexed look, "Why?"

Elena straightened her back and grabbed the car keys, "How would I know? He probably had nothing to do while sitting in his office, so he graciously decided to barge into our apartment room and steal all of my stuff."

Mila opened the door for Elena, still attentively listening to what Elena was saying as if it was actually true.

Elena walked over to the elevator and looked back to see Mila standing outside the door with a determined face on, "Good luck! If it gets too late, you don't have to come back. I won't wait for you."

Elena raised both eyebrows. Was she her friend or not? The elevator door slid open and Elena left. She was going to get her stuff back!

Lu Chenjun happily twirled around in his chair like a little kid. He was such a genius! No one would ever think of a method like this to get someone to come back.

He smiled to himself. Did Zhang Bing really think that taking Elena out to lunch would force Lu Chenjun to break up with her?

Lu Chenjun stopped spinning and furrowed his eyebrows together. He thought about what Grandpa Li told him on the phone earlier.

Without even realizing, his brain was telling him that he shouldn't break up with Elena. His heart was telling him that he would get mad when Elena hung out with other men, and he would be happy when Elena was with him.

Two more days. Lu Chenjun nodded to himself. He will give himself two more days to finalize the decision. However, he already knew that the scale in his heart was no longer balanced.

Just then, he heard a knock on the door and he lifted his gaze up to look at Chu Hua.

"It's getting late, why are you still in the office? You should go get ready to sleep." Chu Hua's tone was caring and gentle as she moved closer to the table.

"It's only seven," Lu Chenjun replied as he looked at the antique clock.

Chu Hua also glanced at the clock, "Almost eight."

Lu Chenjun didn't want to talk too long to Chu Hua as he didn't know when Elena was going to arrive.

"You should go to sleep. I'll go to my room too."

Chu Hua happily nodded and followed Lu Chenjun out of the office, closing the lights for him. Outside Lu Chenjun's bedroom, he suddenly turned around and frowned.

"Why are you still following me? Your bedroom is on the other side." Lu Chenjun stated as he pointed across the staircase and to the other end of the floor.

Chu Hua looked around and seemed to be doing some serious thinking. Finally, she smiled and said, "Nothing. I'll go to my room now."

Chu Hua walked away slowly, glancing behind once in a while to see Lu Chenjun staring at her weirdly.

She was going to take the next step and ask him to sleep together with her, but she ended up not having the confidence to do so.

She knew Lu Chenjun's patience was running out, so she needed to hurry and find a way to grab onto his heart and hold on tightly.

Just as she opened the door to her bedroom and walked in, she heard a loud stomping noise coming from the bottom of the stairs.

She turned around and saw Jin Yinghui angrily marching up the stairs. What was she doing here?

Elena immediately saw Lu Chenjun casually leaning against the door to his bedroom, staring at her with an amused look on his face.

Elena didn't want to have any interaction with him. Keep a distance! She hurriedly walked up the stairs, not forgetting to roll her eyes when her gaze landed on Lu Chenjun.

Only a person like him could come up with such a stupid method to get her to come to his house.
