10 Swimming Pool Scene

After rejecting Lu Chenjun's offer for a hug, Elena left his room and went back down to find Mila. On the elevator, Lu Chenjun sent her a message.

Tomorrow, meet me in the front lobby here at 12 P.M. to eat lunch together.

Elena replied with an, "Okay." and closed her phone. So this was who her first boyfriend was going to be. As a kid, she had imagined a lot of how she was going to fall in love with someone perfect, and she was just going to marry her first love. However, it seems like that was not going to happen.

Mila was waiting for her on the first floor as she had said, and after Elena told her what happened, they went out to go eat dinner.

The next morning, they left their apartment at 6 in the morning since filming started at 7 that day. Like the previous days, Mila did the makeup for Elena before they left. Both Elena and Mila fell asleep in the car and the taxi driver had to wake them up.

Today, they were filming scenes 41, 13, 22, and 7. However, Elena only had a part in scene 41. This scene was pretty difficult for her, not in acting but in the scene itself. In this scene, Hua Luo purposefully falls into the swimming pool and blames Lin Xijin for pushing her.

Elena and Mila arrived just in time as they were starting to film scene 41, and the director began explaining the scene.

"In this scene, Jin Yinghui, you have to purposefully fall into the pool and act like you are drowning. This should be pretty easy to act as the pool will be pretty deep and you will have to actually feel like you're drowning. Su Yan, after she drowns, you have to try and save her. However, Zhang Bing comes from behind and saves her, understand?"

Zhang Bing, Su Yan, and Elena nodded, and filming began.

It was only seven in the morning and the pool didn't have a heater. Elena first tried testing the water and found it to be freezing. She shivered at the idea of submerging her whole body into the freezing water. She mentally told herself to try and pass this in one go.

"Original Sweet, Scene 41, Take 1."

As Hua Luo sees Lichen coming from behind Li Xijin, she purposefully falls into the water. As Elena's body touches the water, an icy feeling spreads throughout her body, all the way from her toes to her head. In the swimming pool, she pretends to swing her arms around as she gasps for air.

In reality, Elena has learned swimming before, and if she had fallen into the pool like this, she would have swam back to the surface.

However, for acting, she had to "forget" how to swim and she ended up actually swallowing large gulps of pool water.

It seemed like she had been in the pool forever when she heard the director call cut. But Zhang Bing didn't come down yet, Elena thought. She climbed out of the swimming pool and heard the director talking to Su Yan.

"Miss Su Yan, what happened? Why didn't you react after Jin Yinghui fell into the pool?"

Su Yan thought for a moment and said, "Sorry. I guess it's too early, I'm not really awake yet. Let's try again."

Then, she turned to Elena, who had wrapped a towel over herself and said, "Sorry Yinghui. Isn't it cold? Don't worry, all new actors have to suffer a little."

Su Yan was still angry about Lu Chenjun breaking up with her in such a short time, and has chosen to blame Elena for her own unattractiveness and stupidity.

After Elena dried her hair and changed into a new set of the same clothes, they started filming again.

Once again, Elena fell into the pool but Zhang Bing never did. When Elena came back up, she learned that this time, Su Yan had "accidentally" tripped on the slippery swimming pool floor.

Su Yan was sitting in the corner, complaining about how the floor was too slippery and her butt hurt. The director told them to get it together and try again.

Mila brought over a towel and began blow-drying Elena's hair. Elena was shivering, and she could feel a cold coming her way.

This process of Elena falling into the pool and Su Yan messing up lasted for two more takes before finally, on the 5th take, Su Yan "woke up".

Elena guessed that this would have gone even longer if it weren't for the fact that after the 4th take, the director screamed at Su Yan, who got scared.

Before they started filming Scene 13, Elena went to go ask the director if she could go home today. She was supposed to stay and watch the other actors' film, but she was freezing and there was no shower place here.

The director looked at Elena pitifully and told her that she did a good job today.

It was already 10:30 A.M. when they arrived back at their apartment, and Elena immediately hopped into the shower.

She stayed in the warm shower for a very long time, and when she came out, she suddenly remembered she had a date at 12.

She quickly got dressed and did her makeup before leaving. When she entered the LIQuan Company's front lobby, it was 12:03 P.M.

Elena had thought that Lu Chenjun would be on-time and stick super accurately to his schedule, but when she arrived, Lu Chenjun was nowhere to be seen.

She sat on the couch and fell asleep.

At 12:30 P.M., Lu Chenjun walked out of the elevator into the front lobby. When he didn't see his new girlfriend standing right outside of the elevator waiting for him, his face became dark.

He went to the front desk and asked the lady working there if she had seen Jin Yinghui.

"Is it the girl sitting there on the couch?" The worker was fangirling at the sight of her boss, who rarely showed up at the front desk.

He looked towards the couch and saw Jin Yinghui sleeping, her body rolled up like a tiny cat. His facial expression remained the same, but there was a hint of warmth in his eyes now.

Lu Chenjun moved closer to take a good look at her. There was something about Elena that attracted him. Maybe it was the resemblance Elena's eyes had with "her", or maybe it was how she had multiple different personalities although she was only one person.

He looked at his watch, it was 12:35 already. He had another meeting at 2:30 P.M.

He looked at Elena sleeping one more time before waking her up.
