Chapter 56- Disgrace To Friendship
" Does it really matter who I am? What matters now is that you leave," Anna shrugged, smiling provocatively.
"Oh, you are her friend then?" Amy nodded in understanding as she sized Anna up; it is no surprise Delilah grew wings; this is the person who gave her the courage.
" What? Are you deaf as a result of your excessive acting?" Anna sneered; she really dislikes Amy.
" Anna…" Frederick frowned.
" And you…" Anna pointed at his nose and asked, "After causing Delilah to lose consciousness, you come here cuddling with the enemy, have you no shame?"
Fist clenched, Amy questioned in a furious tone, "Why do you speak like this?"
"I communicate in the manner in which You should be addressed," Anna clicked her tongue.
Amy's face flushed from anger, she had to practice breathing exercises fast to keep herself calm. She came here with the intention of bullying Delilah, but she had no idea that she would run into Fredrick.
She was furious, not only because of Anna's provocation, but also because she had heard Delilah had been taken to the infirmary by Harrison, and Fredrick was even here to check on her; she would not stand for it!
As Amy was about to refute… RING! The bell signalling the end of lunch break interrupted her.
I guess it is time for you to go now…" Anna grinned.
Amy's tears dropped one after the other," I just want make up for my mistakes and be a good friend…" she grabbed Fredrick's arm," You believe me, right? I-I really want her to forgive me", she cried.
" So you won't leave…?" Anna crossed her arms.
Amy shook her head; with a firm expression she declared," No, I won't. I will stay here with my best friend!"
Her ' righteous' words made Anna roll her eyes. " I don't think she'll like to see your face when she awakes" Anna rebutted, eyes on her finger nails.
" You are so disrespectful…" Amy trembled from rage, tears dripping.
" You are a disgrace to friendship…." Anna said to Amy's ear as she left the room.
Amy's eyes narrowed coldly, but she swallowed her rage because Fredrick was present. She sat on the edge of Delilah's bed.
" I am so sorry Delilah, I-I failed as your friend, I am sorry, please forgive me…" She bit her lip as tears streamed down her face, with Delilah's hand in hers.
" Stop crying Amy, I'm sure that Delilah has forgiven you…" A raspy, cold voice replied Fredrick as he coaxed Amy.
" No, I haven't!" Delilah's eyes snapped open, the temperature in the room dropped, and a cold aura blazed from her body. It surrounded her being like a force field.
