Chapter 13- Being a school flower

After the first grade…

[Delilah failed awfully in her first semester exam and had a little mark in the second semester, but she still made it to the second grade, she had been so obsessed with Fredrick that she didn't pay attention in class.

Old madam Chen nagged her to close death, she also wasn't happy with her results and she could only have herself to blame for it, it was her fault after all. If she had paid more attention in class, this wouldn't have happened.

Her father has returned to their former home and yes! She's still here, alone with grandma!.

Too bad, she doesn't sit with Fredrick anymore, thanks to her low marks. The sitting arrangement for the first grade will be set by the teacher, while the second and third year will be decided by their academic performance.

It was a good thing she had a fairly good mark in mathematics, or she would have repeated the class.

She was too ashamed to sit with Fredrick. Though, it was hard for her to quit sitting with him, but she just had to do it.

Meanwhile, Amy, on the other hand, had never felt better when she found out Delilah failed her exams.

She became more overbearing and was always saying negative things about Delilah to Fredrick, she tells him to stay away from her that she is bad luck.

Amy pushed Delilah into looking haggard, she'd once told her wear a pair of big glasses, she said Fredrick like nerdy girls. Being weak and gullible, Delilah did as Amy had said.

She wore a pair of big glasses, added freckles to her face and tied her hair into a bun, but it made her look more attractive instead.

Amy tried all the ideas she had to make Delilah look less attractive, but it was all futile.

Delilah was born to be beautiful, regardless of what she wore, so the nerdy look was the only thing acceptable on Amy's long list.

Besides, the nerdy look gained plenty of haters for Delilah too, some girls just couldn't accept the fact that Delilah is beautiful in anything.

Delilah was lucky not to fall from her position of the school flower, rather she gained more popularity among the students.

Being a school flower is not just based on appearance but on character as well, so if her beauty falls, she still has her character to maintain the position for her.]
