HER HIGHNESS, THE RUMORS!

Not everyday, I get to witness a live auction. I just receive an invitation telling me if I could come over to see the products and if I can bid money for the goods they have.

I will lose nothing if I decided to come over. After all, I'm picky when it comes to jewelry. I like the one who shines the most. Wearing my peach casual dress and a white pretty half mascara that is needed to hide my identity, I go out of the palace to see the goods they have.

Stepping down into the carriage, a staircase that leads to the auction place was right in front of me. A random knight, who I don't need to know the name, guide me as it is really dark as we go down.

The lanterns light up as soon as we reach inside of the auction. "Greetings, Your Highness. I hope you enjoy the auction today." Maybe, the only thing that I'm going to enjoy in this auction are the people who's desperate for paying a high amount of price for just a single jewelry.

I might turn into one of those people. But in this time, I'll be the last one who's going to bid the highest amount they can't afford.

The Palace have so many treasures already and, yet here I am, participating in this kind of event. Maybe I'll just take off what's interesting in the eyes.

"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. We are now starting the auction and bidding. The one who bids the highest price will be the one who's going to own the given goods or property." The alarm starts as the first item was released. It was an art called Salvator Mundi that is popular among the ones who has a great taste in art.

But in either way, I'm not interested. As the bidding stops, The first item was sold immediately.

Next is some kind of bracelets that light in the dark. It was a crystal that has the ability to change color when hits by the light. It was interesting. But it looks too heavy to wear.

If you're part of the royal family, things such as heavy accessories are not allowed unless you have the King's permission.

As for my father, I know he would allow me. I just don't want to bother myself, wearing a heavy thing to my arms.

Many auctions, but I don't get to bid anything. As I was going to leave the auction soon, The last item caught my attention.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the special item for today's auction is not a thing, but a person." If I could remember this is what they called a slave auction.

I get back to my seat as I heard an interesting item. A girl with a black hair and a violet eyes looks at the crowd as her hands were covered with chains.

"Not every day you'll encounter a slave auction!" I chuckles as I shake my head slightly in disbelief. The MC is really looking at me very well.

Did the news spread already? Is this the reason why they invited me? That was just an alibi for me to get out of marriage as possible.

I'm not really interested in the woman until she looks at the people as if she was kidnapped. Is she really an item or is this forced? In either way, this is illegal. But I like the sight of it.

The auction starts as I heard many voices. Old men who are lonely in life, Single nobles that sounded like shits, and women who'll sell the item on a brothel to gain money.

Keep on bidding morons. "100 thousand Gold. Any higher bids?" I yawn as I raised my number. "50 million Gold." The crowd stays silence as they all look at my place.

"5-50 m-million gold.. A-any higher bid than 50?" As the clock rings, I carefully steps down as I can see pissed faces among men.

Keep it coming, gentlemen. I like attention.

"50 million gold it is! Sold!" The knight who's guiding me carefully, looks at the people causing them to stay in silence while looking at my direction.

"A healthy person, isn't it?" As she was out of the cage, I was impressed that it bows slightly to me.

Slaves aren't capable of learning manners. Is she a past noble? "She's yours, Your Highness."

"You're quite smart to invite me in your action. Did someone tell you something?"

"We just thought that Her Highness will be interested so we decided to invite you here."

"You're smart. I acknowledged it. But don't let me catch you selling innocent people." He bows as he smiles.

"Those people were not forced to be in here, Your Majesty. They want someone who can take them in." I signed the papers twice as I keep the original.

"It was nice to have you in this auction, Your Majesty." I smiled and looked at the girl I bought. Let's see what I got for a 50-million-gold.

Her dress.. her smell.. I can't stand any of it. "Take the chains off of her hands and meet me outside." As soon as we get out of the auction, I started to breath well.

"Name." I said as I look at her from head to toe.

"Serina Ainsworth.." She said with a soft voice. Nice name, I guess.

"Age."

"I just turned 19, Your Majesty.."

"Are you a slave?" She shakes her head as she speaks.

"I'm a Baron's d-daughter.. My father and mother died in a carriage accident leaving me with tons of debt that I can't pay. My feet brought me here and they told me I'll have a good life if someone took me in, and I thought I guess this is better than the brothel.."

Basically, she knows nothing of maid duties. "Speak. Do you know how to please a person?" The knights turned their backs as they heard those words.

Her eyes widened as she started to lift her dress carefully. I can see scars and mark on her thighs.

She was being abused good thing I got her out of there. I was planning to take my anger out on her specially now, Lithia has been appearing in front me pretty often lately. But I changed my mind.

"Let's go back to the palace. I can't stand your fragrance." As I stepped into the carriage, The woman I just bought seems to be scared.

She should. I have no time to play nice and delicate. As we travel in the capital, she looks at the food while glancing in my position.

"You can eat later on." She started to smile gently as she goes back to her sitting position. As we enter the palace, I stepped down as I call some maids to dress the lady.

They can't argue with me. Or else I'll fire them all. "You seem to travel a lot these days Hel." It's father, he was sitting in his throne along with mother.

"Greetings, Father and Mother. Princess Helvetica have returned." I curtsied as mother smiles as she looks at her husband.

"Don't be too hard on your daughter. Ladies at her age have to experience some fun." I smiled as I bow to mother.

"But there're rumors circling around the capital about you, Helvetica."

"And what is it father?" I smile widely as I couldn't express how happy I am.

"That you're not interested in men, but you're fond of women."
