Chapter-12

Emily was behaving weird after the cafe owner death. Stephen got very tensed , now he just want to bring the old Emily back at any cost. He wanted to keep the things away which hurt Emily. So he decided to cook something special for her then he get on his car and go to the groceries while emily was at home thinking about the cafe owner. When her phone ringed it was bruce , she didn't picked up at first but he kept calling her.

"Hello" Emily said.

"Thanks for picking up" bruce said.

"Why did you called me?" Emily asked.

"Actually....I am not well" bruce said in a crying voice.

"So what?" Emily said.

"I am dying Emily and only your love can save me " bruce said.

"We have already talked about it bruce" Emily said.

"Do you love me?" Bruce asked.

"No I don't and will not love you ever, so move on" Emily said in a high voice.

Bruce got disconnected

Emily then threw her phone. When she was lying her phone ringed again and this time it was from an hospital they said that someone got in a accident and he had dialed your number last time. And then Emily asked about the address and goes to the hospital. She thought it was stephen. She kept crying the whole way. And then stephen got back home and found that Emily isn't home, he tried to call her but her phone was lying on the bed. He got tensed and waited for her to come. Emily reached at the hospital then she saw betty was also there, she asked them about the patient. Betty saw her and go towards her . Emily asked "why are you here?"

Then betty grabbed Emily's hand and said"we need to talk".

They go out of the hospital "what's this?"Emily asked.

"Why are you here? " Betty asked.

"Stephen got in an accident" Emily said.

"Still stephen, it was bruce" Betty said in a high voice.

Emily stopped crying and looked at betty. Then betty said"you have ruined all of our lives" and then she slapped her. Emily also slapped her back then they started fighting and betty kept saying "you ruined everything ". Then emily stopped as she got hit at the eye and betty also stopped and then said"you deserved it".Emily didn't say anything and betty left. Then emily spend some time outside and stephen prepared the dinner for her. When it's around 11:30 at night Emily got back home and stephen opened the door for her then he saw emily who was covering her eye and directly entered the room without saying anything stephen was shocked after seeing her like this he goes after her and removed her hand and saw that her eye was all red and there was some nails print on her face. He asked with eyes full of shocked "who did that?". Emily looked at him and said "it's because of me , Betty is right I ruined it all , I deserved it"she started crying then stephen holds her"no, no you did nothing wrong".But Emily kept crying then he console her and make her understand that she did nothing wrong. Then they go to bed together and emily fall asleep and stephen looked at her and heal her wounds. Then in the early morning stephen phone ringed , it was stessy , they both get up and stephen answered the call "hello stessy" stephen said.

"Stephen...Betty someone killed her last night "stessy said and started crying.

"What?"stephen said and emily got up suddenly from the bed.

"Yeah the police is doing investigation her funeral is in evening "stessy said.

"Okay I will be there" stephen said. Then he told Emily about it and emily was in shock "but how ?"she asked.

"Someone stabbed her" stephen said.

Emily was shut and then stephen got ready to go to betty's funeral. And he said Emily to stay at home as if she will go it will only make things bad as other students will also be there. He kissed Emily and left. Emily kept thinking about betty and felt sad. Then when it's night and stephen was not at home yet then someone ringed the door bell . Emily thought stephen got home but when she checked from the key hole. Bruce was standing outside with a bandage on head and arm. Emily quickly ran and switched off the lights and Bruce kept knocking on the door he was for sure drunked.

"Open the door emily" bruce said.

But emily pretended that she isn't at home then Bruce said "I know you are here"

Emily mistakenly dropped something and then she covered her mouth with hands not to make any noise. "Open the door or I will kill myself ".

Emily started crying and she was scared. But Bruce kept knocking and threatening her till someone from the neighbour took him by saying that they are not at home . Bruce had to left but he was screaming "I will come back". His voice threatened Emily then after some minutes again the door bell ringed and emily got scared till stephen called her "Emily open the door".

Then emily run towards the door and hugged him she was all sweaty. Stephen was amused and asked her " what happened?".

"Bruce came here" Emily said while whining.

Stephen got angry and said "I will kill him".

"No please no stay with me " Emily said.

stephen controlled himself then he realised that he can't leave Emily alone. So he put her head on his lap and make her fall asleep. Then in midinight someone again knocked on the door and emily was awake and stephen was asleep , she woke up him and they opened the door and this time it was police. They both got shocked and opened the door. The officer asked "Is this miss Emily's house?".

"Yes i am Emily " Emily said.

The officer said "you are under arrest".
