Chpt #44 - Without Ryan

While waiting for Ryan to wake up, Nancy fell asleep while holding his hand.

It's 6am and Ryan finally wakes up.

He saw Nancy sleeping beside him and he softly creases her hair. Ryan slowly pulls out his hand from Nancy's grip but Nancy woke up instead.

"Ryan! You're awake!!" Nancy screamed in joy and hugs him.

"Hey! Hey! I'm not dead yet why are you hugging me so tight" Ryan laughed.

Nancy who was crying, hits his chest "I was so scared…you might leave me one day"

Ryan grabs her arm to stop her from hitting him and pulls her in for a kiss.

"I will definitely not leave you. Even if i will be dead first, i will make sure to ask the angels to spare me some time to see you leave first" Ryan placed his forehead on Nancy's and whispered to her.

Ryan pulls her in for a hug as Nancy was still crying.

"Can you stop crying already?" Ryan kissed her.

"If you don't stop, i will continue to kiss" Ryan kissed her again and she laughed.

Few minutes later, the doctor came in and Nancy quickly stood up in embarrassment.

"Hmm seems that you are all well now. But we still need to do some checks just incase. So most probably you will only be discharged 2 days later" the doctor told Ryan and left.

"Nancy, you should go to work now if not you'll be late" Ryan hugs Nancy.

"No…but I don't want to be separated with you" Nancy said it in a cute sad voice.

"Be a good girl okay and settle the wedding preparations. I'm looking forward to see the wedding" Ryan kisses her forehead and Nancy finally left for work.

"Desmond, where's Ryan?" Desmond received a call from a lady.

Its was Fanny, Ryan's ex-girlfriend.

Chairman Gu, which is Ryan's grandfather, hire Fanny to work in SOHO hotel, to increase the customer service value and reputation of the hotel.

Because Fanny wants to study and work abroad to improve herself, she selfishly ghosted Ryan without telling him her whereabouts and simply broke up with him.

5 years later, she is now the most popular customer service role model in the hotel industry. Nothing that she can't handle.

Desmond ran to the hospital to inform Ryan and told him that Chairman Gu has arranged Fanny to work with him in SOHO hotel.

Ryan was so pissed that wanted to run out to look for Chairman Gu but coincidentally, Chairman Gu dropped by as well.

"Grandfather! You do know she's my ex! How could you ask her to work with me?!" Ryan screamed.

Chairman Gu threw the pictures of Ryan and Nancy on him. "I know you have been dating this girl! What good does this girl will bring us! Be with Fanny, she's a good choice."

"I won't leave Nancy and don't you dare touch her!!" Ryan crumpled the pictures and threw it away.

"Fine! Then don't blame me for firing her" Chairman Gu then left.
