Lost in true love (1)

The car drove along the earthy yellow road, dusty and seemingly interspersed with golden sunlight. White clouds look out over the wilderness beside the road, a sea of purple lavender flowers in the distance, and an endless green field beyond. The colours were mixed, but it was as beautiful as a painting.

After a short while, the car stopped. "Come on down, we're here." Richard said as he took out the luggage from the trunk.

Bai Yun was bewildered and struck by the beauty of the view before him: a large tree that seemed to have grown for a hundred years, its branches in full foliage, the sunlight rustling down between the branches and green leaves, shining on the old stone staircase made of green slabs. Rather than being made of stone, the house grew out of it, as the stones met each other so naturally that there was no trace of artificiality. Everything was so natural. Bai Yun didn't know where he was, it was as if he had stepped into a film. The harmonious beauty of the old house and the century-old trees captivated Bai Yun, who fell in love with the place from the first moment he saw it.

He said, "I wonder what kind of people live in this house, it's so old and charming."

Richard said, "Really? So you like it here? If you like it, you can always stay here."

Bai Yun said, "Are you the owner of this house? Is this where you said I could live?"

Richard said, "What? Not satisfied?"

Bai Yun was so happy that he tried to play it cool, but couldn't hide his joy: "My God, this is an old villa, I never dreamed I would have the chance to live in such a chic villa."

"Well, what are you waiting for? Come on in." Richard said as he opened the door of the villa and led Bai Yun inside.

On one side of the corridor were coffee-coloured cabinets, each corner carved in the Baroque style with buds or curves created by the turning of waves, shining in the natural light with a rounded glow. The cabinets are decorated with small, charming ornaments, probably from around the world, each of which seems to tell a story. On the other side of the corridor is a large mirror, reflecting the spaciousness of the corridor. At the end of the corridor is an oval-shaped antique mirror, and as Bai Yun looks at the reflections in these mirrors, he feels as if he has arrived in another world. A three-metre-long square table is covered with a white chased flower tablecloth, on top of which are two candle holders with coloured stones in clear tall glasses. A pot of white perfumed lilies is planted in a delicate pot. Everything looks so pure and elegant. The windows in the living room were bright and clean, and the curtains around the windows were all in the same colour, so everything was in harmony.

Bai Yun was about to take a closer look when she heard Richard say, "What are you doing there? Come and help me get two glasses of champagne from the cupboard. We're having dinner in the garden."

Bai Yun obediently walked in the direction Richard pointed and opened the cupboard, only to see glasses of different sizes and shapes all over the cupboard. On the green lawn, Richard had laid out a picnic cloth and placed bread, fruit and ham on top. Richard opened the bottle with a bang as he greeted Baiyun and sat down. Baiyun was startled by the sound and only when he distinguished it carefully did he realise that it was the sound of the bottle being opened.
