Chapter 48

Ishaan felt it when Carina fell asleep against him and held in the urge to dance. That would wake her up and if she hadn’t been sleeping then that was his first priority. She was going to give him a chance, let him court her, allow him access to her and he had to make sure that he didn’t screw this up. He was going to let her lead, was going to do only those things that she allowed him to do and hope that someday she would call him her mate again. He wanted to see the lines on her body, the bracelets and collar that he wore reflected on her skin. But it had to be what she wanted, he had to be what she wanted. That meant figuring out what courting meant to her and to the Flight. For right now though, he was going to hold her slack, lovely body in his arms and quietly rejoice that she was giving him a chance.
