Love Heart Online: Yandere's Game of Change

The entire world had changed; from flying cars to flying horses as the adventurers from the game became hunters in real life. Nobody entered Love Heart Online expecting to be merged with their in-game character nor did they expect for the game to slowly influence real life in more ways that just economically. But when the first wave of people began to merge there were those who had no intention to remain hidden while many of those in the lower rungs of society decided to take a slice of the cake. By any means. It therefore didn't take long for the world to become like something out of a comic book - heroes flying in the sky fighting villains - if with a fantasy flare added in. Yet, before the world could even adapt to that, a second wave of chaos came. Many who were previously worth nothing in society became champions across the planet, fighting off the dungeons full of monsters, after mana seeped into reality for unknown reasons. Yet that does not change the fact there was still a clear class division. Armor-Cordis was well aware of this fact as they worked for one of the core members of the HERO guild yet that did not mean they lived well because of their masters role. Abuse was part of their daily life (not just the physical or verbal kind) however none of this matter... Because they had a promise from their mamma. With absolute trust in their mothers instructions they set out in the world to experience the lowest lows in human society - a situation that led them to eventually being picked off the street by the supposed Heroes. Even then they spent their time stealing as much information as they could since they knew it would come in handy in the future. Or rather, it would come in handy in the past. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Come read as a urchin rises to become a gluttonous white lotus spirit takes advantage of her future knowledge to rule two worlds and beyond. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 1 Chapter Per Week (Sun) 20~ Chapters Ahead On Patreon https://www.pat reon.com/BasicallyGod/ Content Warnings Are More Caution Based

Chapter 049: The Journey Begins

Finally my journey (for real this time) has started!

Manic murderous muton man? I know nothing about that. I saw nothing strange back there, just your usual open field with no blood or guts, so there will be no need to think about it. Best to just focus on the road that is ahead of me with a bright smile on my lips; hopefully well on my way to finding myself far away from whatever the fuck didn't happen in that godforsaken city.

Indeed.

The road ahead seemed like a long one but - thanks to being a route of major importance to the economy of the country - said road was actually very well maintained. Originally I may have gotten a quest to go off the path in order to hunt some of the passing creatures. Just your regular beginning area stuff.

However, I had already far surpassed the level where that would even be of any help to me. Even if I wanted to grind some low level mobs, with the amount I'd need, it would likely take days to kill enough to even fill up that last 22% to level 22. Plus I also had to reach that dungeon site by Rosorrio Mountain as soon as possible.

There was no other way to confirm the changes that took place. Worst case scenario could lead to my entire plan falling apart - whether that came in the form of the dungeon already being discovered or those precious stones no longer being there. Even if they regenerated, that didn't stop some crazy artificial or natural disaster from taking them away from where they belonged.

The surface of a planet was constantly changing even if humanity never realises.

Plus there was also the possibility I never thought about till recently… What if some crazy high level monsters went at it resulting in that mountain becoming a mountain of pebbles.

Well, only one way to find out, plus I need to get into contact with the rest of my family anyway. I could only hope that their tutorials are significantly less… Stressful than mine. At least I can be confident that no other play can be stronger than me, right?

Subtle as always you barely functional malware.

Anyway - the best way to go about this would likely be to just follow the road - if I keep walking I'll eventually reach another settlement with people who are actually alive and not just puppets. From there I'll just gather some important information. First of which being where the hell I need to actually go.

Also need to sign up to various guilds if they still exist… Didn't exactly have the option to check their state when I was in Port City.

Fortunately the scene was quite nice; just your idyllic romp through a very lightly wooded path with a powerful wind behind that brought forth the salty smell of the ocean. Hated salty food but there certainly was something uniquely… Refreshing about this. Helped by the beautiful tweeting of the birds who fluttered around in the air dancing & singing.

This also allowed me the time needed to get my tiny little hoard attributes out the way.

My as well just throw 50 points into everything, leaving me with 205 attribute points, although there isn't actually much point in putting points in VIT hence why I never bothered before. It has little effect other than increasing how much damage I can take & energy I can output. Would probably be wiser to put it into INT instead - as that one continues to improve me in a far more efficient fashion.

Although there may also be some secret bonus that I simply don't know about yet. I couldn't even pretend that I knew everything about the system (I don't even know where it comes from nor who created it) so there was definitely a solid possibility that I overlooked something. Guess I'll just leave 255 points in the chamber just in case I need a sudden powerboost in vitality…

Though it doesn't even appear in my better newer system; that should signify that it doesn't actually matter to me at least. In that came I could plop 100 stats into every other attribute with 5 left over. May as well just slap them in VIT so that crazy teacher of mine has no need to complain.

Now my status is perfectly balanced

In hindsight… Maybe I'd still have my eye if I did that earlier?

No point in worrying about what has already happened; now I have no eye but my power is far greater than when I first entered the game. Also, despite how gut wrenchingly rage inducing the comment was, my teacher is right that my range finder skill suddenly found itself far more useful. Plus I also need to figure out what to do with my job upgrade - I plan to get my final job beforehand to increase my chances of a better job.

The last job I wanted (and the reason why I never bothered getting one till now) isn't specific but rather should be obvious to anyone. I wanted a magic job. It's a good thing that I didn't actually plan to have a specific magic skill or even job as I most certainly would struggle to get it now.

Although, now that I've received somewhat formal training, I do have some plans on what I could achieve if I play my cards right. Of course I'll need to read that book but first I need to understand what adding all those attributes to my status could me-

Just when I was wondering what to do I got a collection of volunteers to run a trial - not only will I get to try my newly upgraded attributes but something I've always wanted to try yet couldn't.

My gun.

Unfortunately it was impossible to know how the system would influence my firearms ability to put a bullet into an enemy's skull. These little wolves would certainly help me solve that. So, without anything to really consider, I whipped my revolver from my hip to do a technique I had practised for literal years.

"Well that was easy…" The system didn't even have a chance to start an instance. At least that, in of itself, is a very interesting piece of information. I assume that is due to me doing enough damage to instantly take them out of the fight - certainly makes the sniper I designed far more useful. However, I'll keep it hidden away in my back pocket for now.

Always best to keep some surprises and there is nothing as effective as a gun the enemy doesn't know is trained on them.

At least my short escapade through the prior city revealed that firearms aren't common. Either that or the ones they do have aren't effective enough for the cities armed forces to bother using in the time of an emergency on an incalculable scale. Could have just been that they didn't get a chance to use them…

Best not to ponder for too long as I at least had a higher level of tech as revealed by the so-called "major port city" being something you'd expect in the 21st century. Certainly far more advanced than the mediaeval level of advancement than I expected. Still that only meant that my plans would need to be moved around a little; I still had this in the bag as long as that particular dungeon still existed.

Now… Time for a little reading.

"What is up with the getup?" That familiar goddess questioned that demonic wool-adorned demon who just crushed the head, within their metal claws, into pulp. Curiously tilting their head as if taking their time to study the little dragoness. The bi-colour flames - that flickered behind the eye-holes of that simplistic but detailed sheep mask - narrowed as if trying to figure something out.

Finally the hand that crushed the head fell down to hide below the cloak. Standing up from the body after which they seemed to sway only to immediately appear a mere few steps away from her. This new figure leaned forward causing the goddess to be buried under the towering sheep's shadow. "Were you always so… Small?"

Both questioned the other's appearance as they just stood there… Looking at each other awkwardly.

"If you're alive…"

"No."

"I see…" That cloaked presence did not have the gruff voice one may expect; their voice was actually rather beautiful and would no doubt be wonderful in the form of a song. Although they were without a doubt rather sorrowful. Either way it was clear that both of them recognised each other.

Even if neither recognised the appearance of the other.

"For some reason I don't want to fight you for once~!" Seemingly the goddess did not share the sorrowfulness nor had an ounce of understanding towards the grieving beast. That monstrous figure just shook their head while turning away from the dragoness - heading down the only path out of this city.

"Have fun playing with your puppets jehehe~♪"

"Have fun playing with your murder thing ehehehe~!"

And, unlike what a certain girl assumed, the two peacefully walked away.
