"What took you so long?"
The man's tone sounded very serious as if he were saying, "If not for these two children, I would have rushed in."
Realizing that he might be suspicious, Savanna quickly pulled up the corner of her clothes.
"The mushroom soup looks quite light, but it turns out to be so hard to wash off."
Savanna had a white lie. She didn't want her husband to know what happened in the bathroom and be upset.
"If it's hard to wash off, don't bother then. There is a mall upstairs. I should have asked you to buy one just now."
Brandon walked over and grabbed her hand. "Why are your fingertips so cold? Did you not use hot water just now?"
It was not that there was no hot water, but because she was too nervous when she heard Haylie's words, so her fingertips got cold.
Yet, she couldn't tell Brandon about that.
"I forgot it," she said casually.
