a tough cockroach

10 days before 2nd semester begin

knock...knock...knock...

someone knocking my door, maybe it's Hyo Joo, we have date today, first date. I walking happily toward the door.

but, why Hyo Joo knock? she knows my pass key. I peeking from door hole. it's an apartment guard.

"Hello sir, there's a package for you"

"Oh thank you" I handled the package

it's from mom, I put the package at the table.

ring...ring...ring..

my phone ringing, from mom

"Oh, mom, I received the package. what's inside it?"

"Ah, I forgot to give it to you when you at home. it's my old album. I want Hyo Joo to look at it. hopefully she will happy to found a piece memory of her mother "

"okay mom, I'll give to her"

"okay then, good bye my precious son. love you"

"I love you too mom"

as soon as I closed the phone my door open. now it must be Hyo Joo. I run to the door and hug her as soon as she open the door.

"Why you came so late, I'm waiting like a crazy "

I can hear she giggles

"Why?" I look at her

"nothing " she smile

"hm.. if you don't want to tell me I'll kiss you"

"meeee..." she give me silly look and run inside appartment.

"Hey, hey, hey..." I run to chase her

she run to my room and we play chasing for a while until I grab her waist and we fall to the bed and laugh together.

"Ah, my girlfriend hair get messy, what yo do?"

I look her with cute eyes

she close her face cause she so shy. I stroke her hair gently and open her hands.

"pretty" I kiss her forehead

and sometimes beyond my imagination happens. I feel something walking in my foot and I see something get closer to Hyo Joo's left hand.

"gyaaaaa" we both screaming

it's cockroach there's two of it

"hyun jae why there's cockroach here?" Hyo joo hug me tight

"I don't know either " I grab a pillow and hit it but it still running closer to us, it walkingvto hyo joo t-shirt. Hyo joo freeze, I constantly flick the cockroach.

we run outside the room. I closed the door.

"Hyun Jae"

"yes" I still catch my breath

"when last time you wash that dish?" Hyo Joo point at my sink. there's dozens of dish, glass some leftovers food, food package and bottle.

"that..." I scratch my head

actually I just came back from my parents home last night. the dish in the sink is been there like a week. cause I forgot to wash them before went to my parent's house.

"let me clean it" I walk hurry to the sink but the view is so horrible there's more cockroach there also there's a fly. I was so tired last night that I didn't even realized it.

"hyo joo, maybe I just throw all of it" I look at Hyo Joo

"all of it? but there's a plate and glass to, also a spoon and fork"

"but it's so smell and dirty"

Hyo joo sighing . she open her jackets. I can see a beautiful dress. she definitely prepared for our first date, but turn out to be like this.

" I'm sorry Hyo joo"

she smile and pinch my cheeks

"Why you sorry?"

"cause we suppose to go out for a date. but we still here and will do cleaning "

"it's okay, there's no standard for dating plan. as long I can spend time with you I'm happy. the moment with you is the thing I treasure the most" her eyes show that she really sincere

"Now, you have apron and mask? also some brush maybe"

"Oh okay I'll find it" I seach in my cabinet and found all hyo joo need to clean

"hyo joo, this rubber glove. we gonna need it"

we start washing dishes while talking and laugh.

i sat at the couch

"Ah... tired. and it's almost dinner time"

we not just wash the dishes but also ended up cleaning all the appartment

hyo joo came and give me a water

"thank you "

she sit beside me. I got a chance and put my head at her lap.

"Ah... so comfortable, warm...."

Hyo joo pat my head and stroke my hair

"Hyo joo"

"hm..." she look at me softly

"do you happy?"

she nodded

I look into her eyes, I just want to enjoy this time with her. I don't know why I really into her. I feel addicted to her. when I went to my parent's house I really try not too call her many times. even in holiday Hyo Joo still working, so I don't want give her another weight. we have 1 months before next semester begin. I went to hot spring with Bom and song 3 days, went my parent's house for 2 weeks, and get back to my appartment. still 10 days before semester begin, I hope I can spend my time like this with Hyo Joo.

I reach hyo joo's face and caressing it softly. I get up and kiss her lip. our eyes closed. I can smell strawberry scent from hyo joo's body. I grab her waist and hug her more thight. my left hand stroke her hair. at some point we didn't know when we start and end it.

the think I remember is when we end that kiss Hyo Joo's eyes still closed. so I kiss her forehead.

she open her eyes slowly. her cheeks gets blush. but this time she not cover her face. she try look at me . we look each other for a while.

knock...knock...

"Ah, it's our dinner" Hyo joo said

"Ah, uh... yes"

I open the door and there's bunch of food.

"did we order this much?"

"Hehehe..."

there's many food, mostly beef and western food. 2 portions of spaghetti, 1 portion of steak and mashed potatoes, few slices of bread, also I know this Hyo Joo's favorite, iced chocolate and big slice of chocolate cake. for me I want to drink sikhye, Korean traditional beverages.

"this is expensive, am I deserve to eat all of this?"

"ofcourse you are. I actually want to bring you to this restaurant. but the cockroach incident really waste our time"

Hyo joo stand up

"where you go?"

"I'll take a plate and glass"

"no, sit here let me do it"

I arrange the food, drinks and dessert. i also lite some candle to make it more romantic.

"Hyo Joo, come here"

hyo joo walk from living room to kitchen. she look surprises.

"so beautiful "

"hyo joo, I'm sorry that we can't go out for a date"

"don't be like that, we still have much time "

i reach her hand and kiss it

"i know, but still i just wanna take you on a date. really special date. cause you are special person for me, for the first time and i hope for all the time"

"thank you, i'm hoping the same thing"

she hugs me

we eating while talk about many things. we smiling, laughing and talking loud about everything.

many things happened just in one day, make us more know about each other, the bad, the good side.

we try to adjust and accept our couple weaknees and power. we were together and dating not just for a physical need but also for our mental growth. to make us appreciate others presents and how to learn and cherish them in the time they need it. friendship also the same, we try to find a better way to bound to protect each other in many ways. I will always grateful for all my time with them. for people out there, I hope you too.
