The Smiths

I walked around the hall to see what they had and what was a house like in Earth because I have been to three different houses on Earth and all of them had different design.

Linda's or my house was simple, small and cozy. It felt home and complete. I lived it the most. With the whole room pink and with a restaurant down the stairs it was my favourite.

Elijah's house was big and beautiful. It had less things and that is why it looked more of cleaned and big. It has four rooms god know why he needs four rooms for one person.

Then my father's house was big, ver big, extremely big. It is like a palace. The house interiors was also good but can be understood the requirement of big house. There stays my two cousins, Uncle, Aunt, Father and my grandparents. Yes they were alive.

This was the fourth house I was seeing. Not even half as big as Evans house but bigger than Elijah's house. It was beautiful painted in red with carpets of a lots of designs and many antiques. They loved collecting them it seem.

Now I turned back to walk towards the sofa but saw a lady standing right behind me and scanning me. She had short hairs and a red coloured short dress with high heels. He smoky eyes were burning me. She was Mrs Smith and the one from who I had to be safe. She came near me and asked "So, you are Ari?"

"Y...yes."

"You have been making quite a headline with my son."

I stayed silent because I don't think she was asking a question.

She now said "What is you title."

Title? what is a title? I looked at Zoa and she searched without even losing a single second and said "she asking your last name which is bound to be Evans for you. And would be your identity and your family's identity."

I couldn't possibly say Evans because I was not ready yet to call them my family. I stayed silent. Seeing me silent She asked again "Ari what is your title?"

"It's.....it's Edwards. Yeah It is Ari Edwards."

"Edwards? hmmmm. But listen to me carefully you will never be accepted here because you don't even have a status."

She was literally talking about status with me? My father is the great Ethan Evans and has twice big house as yours.

She sat on the sofa and asked for a green tea beacuse according to her seeing people like me dehydrated her. Now I know why Elijah doesn't like her.

Elijah and his father now came from two different sides.

I saw them but they looked quite different. His father was a chairman, he looked....young. He was wearing a yellow shirt and jeans. His body looked perfect like he always used to gym.

He came near me and moved his hand to shake hands "Hi, Ari...ummm"

"Edwards sir."

"ohh yeah Ari Edwards. You have been hitting quite a headline with my son. Which is kind of...what do I say? weird? and.....uncommon?"

I gave him a weird smile and said "we were in a relationship which was serious not like Elijah's other bimbos."

I saw all three of them looking at me. I guess the language was the reason.

The chairman continued "but why were you two spending night at outside? I mean you must get a rook foe you know....."

Elijah interrupted " dad actually she likes fresh air."

His mom now said "does she also like sleeping beside trash?"

I had this mind boggling answer for Elijah who actually forced me to meet his parents "Yeah, Like sleeping beside your son."

Everyone rounded there eyes on my answer.

Then my dream broke and we were back to square one where the chairman asked about the uncommon thing "Actually I loved him and vice versa."

Mr Smith then asked "what about your family? your mom?your dad?"

"My mom is dead sir."

"sorry for that but Dad...?"

I suddenly didn't know what to answer. It is not like I didn't want to tell them about him but I know nothing about him and he is a well known businessman. Everything I tell might backfire me.

So, I said "I don't know him yet. My mom never told me about him."

From behind "Ari!!!!! hey!!!!"

Saved from the awkward situation by Leo. I was so happy to see someone normal finally in this zoo. Everyone here was a problem Mrs Smith the dangerous, Mr Smith too many questions and Elijah just too much. But Leo he was calm cute and sweet. He knew well how to treat ladies.

"Leo I am soooo happy to meet you."

Then we hugged. Everyone looked at us because the hug felt....intimate which was not supposed to happen.

Leo asked "Ari, how about a lunch?"

"Ye...." I was pulled by Elijah to his side and he said "No. She is coming with me to have lunch and...Something more."

He then winked at his brother and pulled me with him outside the house.

I aksed "what did you mean?"

"To get you out and save you from busting not just you but me as well, I had to do it."

I walked and cramped my leg because of the freaking high heels.

He now picked me up in his arms. I asked "what are you doing?"

"Protecting My Girlfriend?"

That was really sweet. I actually now saw his manly and amazing side which was too much. He was hot. When he was walking towards the car, I can't believe that again it felt time stopped and even though being two I felt we are one. Two hearts in one life. I tucked my head into his coat and he walked me to his car.

INSIDE

"I hate her already. I am telling you Dan, she is not coming to my family" Mrs Smith said just as I left.

"I don't think she is that bad Ash, so chill."

"chill?!!! how dare you say that? Already our share prices are dropping and you say this. Remember she is the reason our company is in headlines all day. CEO is the face of the company and see Elijah.....Always with one of his bimbos like the girl said."

There was a silence for a minute and she got up from the sofa and said "Believe it or not, I am going to prove my doubts about Elijah being a mental patient and visiting physiatrist and get my son Leo to the CEO removing his bro."

Now Leo interrupted becaus he felt he should "But mom, I have no interest in being the CEO."

"But son I have the interest in seeing my son as the CEO."

She now walked angrily to her room and said loudly "I will do anything to stop Elijah from actually claiming the whole company after your death Dan. I want my son to have the best future." and slammed the door.

Leonard and his father looked at each other and sighed.

Fighting for company like this? Isn't it too much.
