32 Flag!

I gasped in shock as I saw the face in front of me. Suddenly I realized that this world had this unique personality too which I seemed to forget since a while ago. Regaining my composure I tried to look calm before I responded.

"It's been a while Gasai san". I greeted her and didn't expect that I would get a beautiful smile in return.

She was really charming as she smiled brightly.

"I am happy that you remembered me Subaru. However, I guess we should get out first". She side glanced at the board's person, who was glaring at us. I sighed and got up before stretching my body a little.

Yuno didn't leave but waited for me. I finally got out of the chopper and offered my hand to the lady behind me.

"Oh, my.. thank you". She giggled before taking my hand. Her hands were cold and I felt all the cut and stiffness her hands had adopted because of the things she had gone through.

At that time something popped into my mind. I didn't know why and how but all of a sudden a very strong feeling came into my mind. And that was ...

'I want to protect her'. All of a sudden all the things which I had seen in the anime 'Mirai Nikki ' came into my mind. How she was tortured by her parents and how miserable her life was. I wasn't sure if it was the same for this reality or not but tracing all the things I have seen until now and how she reacted in that cave when I mentioned 'someone who cares for you' when we first met, I concluded that she had a tough life at least.

"What happened Subaru?" She asked while tilting her head to the right a little.

"I will protect you Yuno". I blurted out the thing which was darting back to back inside my head. Not that I was going to fall back on my words but still it felt a little awkward to say something like that, out of the blue.

But before I could have said something else to divert the topic I saw her blushing really hard. I mean her neck was also red, that much blush, she had. I kept my mouth closed before asking her.

"Are we going to let go of each other or .... are we going to the marriage bureau like this". 'Shit why I am flirting all of sudden'. I literally raised a flag, now making her head steam in embarrassment. Seeing her cute reaction I couldn't help it and gently started patting her. Her head started sinking more downwardly, but still, her hand was connected with mine and she didn't reject my touches at all.

"Yo...picking girls as soon you landed huh". Theo came from behind without any luggage with him.

I glared at him and noticed that Yuno wasn't gripping my hand now. I sighed and turned toward Theo who seemed to be coming from the group of students who landed before us.

Since every chopper already had landed while I was dozing, all the students were already present on the land. I saw Ririka peeking at us so I decided to call her, but someone already called all the students in a loud voice.

"PLEASE FOLLOW THE TEACHER STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU. ".The voice traveled through thin air which wasn't much difficult to mimic however I never thought of this idea not I was interested at the moment.

The teacher who was standing in front of the crowd had a very huge built like a gorilla. His face was almost covered with a brown beard and aura which could crush a normal human with just his presence. But he wasn't much of a threat if he was to attack me even in my sleep.

"Gather round ". His dominating voice reached everyone's ear. And as I had promised myself to not provoke someone until it's not necessary, I also followed his order.

As all the students stacked together in a proper manner he spoke again.

"Today you all are gonna take a small trip around the campus and rest for the day. Tomorrow there will be a welcome ceremony for the first years so before that don't try to venture around alone, as you know the school won't be responsible if you suddenly die in case of not following the rules and orders. GOT IT?"

Everyone screamed 'YES SIR'. I was just amused to see how they were threatening the students on the very first day.

We started following the giant, slowly discovering the island. The place where we landed was a helipad for sure with trees far away from there. As we took the concrete path toward the forest, the scenery started changing. Either side of the path had trees but I saw the traps planted in the forest for training purposes and so.

After walking for about 500 m, a huge fountain with dragon sculptured statue on each opposite side came into our view.

The fountain had a faint smell of something sweet which I wasn't able to figure out what was. The fountain led four different ways. The one from which we came and the other three.

"We will take this route which will lead to students cottage. Remember, not to leave your cottage whatever happens ". Everyone agreed and we started walking on the path on our right.

Apart from the beautiful garden which came soon after we took the path and the bird sanctuary which caught the attention of almost everyone, nothing was sort of interesting.

Since there were 200 people walking together, it was hard to catch up with Theo or Ririka, so I was walking alone with strangers all around me.

Soon the wooden cottages came into view as we proceeded. The Hulk, assigned the cottage to different students. I was happy that I didn't have to share the room with others.

There were cottages lined up in a row on either side of the path. All the cottage was almost identical except for one.

"Your cottage is that one". He pointed at the one which was really unique looking. All the other cottages were on the ground, but mine was more like a treehouse. A small ladder was built to climb up the tree. I hovered in the air and reached my new house without questioning back.

I knew they would keep a close watch on me but like hell, I would let them surveillance me. I didn't want my privacy to be breached again by someone.

The cottage was spacious from the inside with a king-size bed just after entering the house. A small study table, a wardrobe on the left of the bed. A small gallery had a changing room at the end and a washroom and toilet on the left of the gallery.

It wasn't big as an apartment but still, it was more than enough for a single person to reside in.

I threw my bag on the study table and after blocking all the cameras in my room with the mist, I plopped down on the bed.

'Ah heavens~'.

I deduced some points after coming here.

First, there is a barrier around this whole island which makes this island look different from the outside and of course it blocks mana-originated attacks. This barrier wasn't that strong, in fact, my mom could have chanted a stronger barrier, so I was confident that I could break it anytime.

Second, there is several powerful being on this island that might be good for my training but I wasn't certain how good they were because of the mana concealment.

Third, there was a presence that was making me anxiously excited. I mean that person had mana and aura like the teachers even I knew that this person was a student.

Even the concealment couldn't hide how powerful this student was. I was eager to meet this student real soon.

*Knock*

My train of thoughts was broken all of a sudden because of a knock on the door.
