1 Playing It Fair

It was a heart-pumping concert of the towns very own band. Both young and old are into the beat, dancing and singing with their partners. Ray saw Sandy so into the music and singing her heart out. He found her so funny at first but later on realized that his eyes are pinned on Sandy. A smile was glued on his face and that made him realized that he found Sandy interesting. He first thought of a way to get near her without being noticed of his true intentions. Inch by inch he made his way to Sandy, until he was just a few steps away when a man suddenly put his arms on Sandy's shoulders and kissed her on the cheek. Ray was stopped at what he saw.

After the concert, there was a simple dinner with the towns officials. Everybody was so ecstatic, talking about how good the band played. Ray looked around and didn't seem to find Sandy anywhere. Until the host for the night announced the winner of the raffle and it was Sandy. They waited for Sandy but it seems that she was not around. They decided to call for another winner and this time it was Ray. Just when Ray was about to go up to the stage that Sandy came running shouting. "Wait, I'm so sorry I just had to go home to get my camera and then I heard my name. Did I win?" Yes, the host said but we decided to call another winner since you were not around. Ray was the winner, the host pointing to me. Oh, I'm sorry but is there another chance for me? Sandy said. I've been wanting that camera since mine is not working properly. There was silence, Ray thought of a way to be fair with Sandy. Ok, I will let you have the camera but since I am also a winner we will take pictures together just for today, Ray suggested. Sandy was quiet hesitant at first but later on agreed to Ray's idea.

Ray and Sandy was inseparable for the rest of the night taking pictures with almost everyone. Ray made her way to know Sandy more and be friends with her. That night was a memorable one for Sandy because she won a camera but it is more memorable for Ray because he got what he wanted also. They got lots of pictures and they agreed to have it framed and put in the towns hall as winners of the raffle.
