96 Digging His Own Grave

A/N: Hi, I'm back. I will start uploading chapters again but from now on unlike before, I will be posting only on Sunday because I am very busy during the weekdays. Since Sunday is my only free time, I have decided to move my schedule. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter. It's been a long time, I hope you didn't forget Fyre and Tian Zi's journey.

"What the fuck!!! Who the heck are you to say that in my own house? Are you stupid or are you stupid!?" Fyre blurted furiously. There's a deep frown on his forehead and his eyes widened in a glare-stare at the man who dared to call him talentless, ungrateful, and ugly! 'This person must be digging his own grave.' Fyre thought and all kinds of things were already floating in his mind on how to beat the shit out of the man.

"Duke!! You promised you'd only come and look! You know how important this meeting is!" Julie Walker called in shock as she pulled the man by his arm to the side, scolding him. In truth, Julie Walker kinda agreed but the reason why the production was insisting on taking the Omega aside from the people wanting him to be the main lead was because of his strong connection to the Mos. The Omega had been a constant topic in social media despite him being just a common person, according to his background. A lot of people believed that he's Mo Tian Zi's lover but no one could verify it because the two had hidden it quite well from the public.

"Am I wrong? No one has been given this kind of opportunity but he was still being ungrateful. I hate people like him the most, he has no guts and is not even charming at all. Are you sure the movie would become successful if he became the leading character?" The man insisted and Julie just sighed in frustration, dismissing him.

"Still, you're ruining my business so can you just shut up or I'll put you on a diet. You promised you wouldn't make trouble for me," Julie sighed before finally facing back at Fyre. Meanwhile, listening to their brief conversation, Fyre was turning red in anger thinking why does he have to be grateful for something he absolutely has no interest in? Not all people would jump into opportunities like this. Why does he have to be disrespected just because he didn't want something?

"You fucker! Just because other people would want this kind of offer it would mean I would want it too. You're really stupid, aren't you!? Why do I have to be grateful for something I have no interest in? If it's guts you want then you want to have a fight with me?" Fyre roared at the man's stupidity. He thought maybe he's been with too many smart people that talking to idiots makes him this furious and making him an idiot too.

"Fyre, please don't get mad at him. He's just very passionate when it comes to acting... I think you've heard about him, this is Duke Davidson. If you accept our offer, he's going to be your leading man. I know you have no interest in acting but I am still hoping you'd try it. If you find something difficult then Duke will help you," Julie awkwardly introduced, urging the man to remove at least his facemask to show himself which the man did and returned Fyre's glare into a mocking one. He was confident that Fyre would be blown away seeing him in person since he was that famous but unfortunately, Fyre didn't faze at all, almost making him show a stunned expression.

Duke Davidson, he's a young star that has currently been the hottest topic for the last 5 years since he debuted. He's been nominated and won countless awards for his outstanding performance and was currently top number one of the hottest male actors in the industry. Duke went from a D-class actor to A-class within two years and is now one of the highest-paid actors in the country. He was indeed that famous and a lot of people, especially the young ones, were crazy for him. However, Fyre was different. He knew Duke Davidson by name but he didn't really know his face. It is true that he had seen the actor's face at least a couple of times before on his computer and cellphone screen but he just didn't know he was the Duke Davidson. He simply didn't have enough interest to know.

Fyre stared at the actor and one of his eyebrows raised a little, thinking that despite how many people say that he was handsome, the actor just couldn't compare to his lover, Mo Tian Zi. Not just the face! Tian Zi had a way better body as well. As someone like Fyre who initially prepared women, he truly appreciated Tian Zi's body the most, although he would never say it out loud.

Still, if Fyre had to say what are the things he hated the most, aside from an annoying person, it would be someone challenging him into a fight. Duke Davidson may not be asking for a fight(?) but Fyre hated him already that he wanted to make that arrogant face of his fall into despair.

"Fine. I'll take the job if he's not the leading man. You said he's the leading man, right? I don't know what you see in that face but I'd probably want to smash it whenever I try to act so cut him off," Fyre suddenly said with a mocking and triumphant smile, making both Julie Walker and Duke Davidson drop their mouths open before Duke's face immediately turned dark while Ms. Walker sighed in defeat.

Actually, Fyre didn't want to accept the offer that's why he offered such an impossible request since there's no way the production would drop a top-tier actor for a newbie's request.

"F-Fyre, Duke might be like this but he's truly a great actor that can help you. Please reconsider it," Julie said, hoping she could convince Fyre but of course, the Omega was stubborn.

"I don't care. I don't need help from people like him, Ms. Walker. Anyway, if you can't do it then I guess you'll have to find someone else," Fyre conveyed, acting as if it was a shame that his request would never be granted while looking at the young actor who continued to tremble in anger.

"Y-You..." Duke started but before he could say something, Julie Walker extended her hand to block him and prevent him from saying anything. Truthfully, another reason why the production insisted that Fyre Long become the main character of the movie was because there was an anonymous company that promised to sponsor the whole movie production if Fyre Long was to become the main lead. They didn't care about the other details as long as they got the Omega in, they'd already even deposited the initial fund. The movie had already been dropped years ago and had lost millions because of it, there were not a lot of sponsorship offers after that so they were in desperate need of support even though critics had declared that the script would surely become a great success, as long it was in the hands of a talented director.

"Julie, don't tell me you're going to listen to that ridiculous request? You're going to choose him over me? You're not even sure if he's capable of acting," Duke complained, unable to believe that his manager was having second thoughts about that absurd request.

"Duke, can you shut it for a second?" Julie said first before she turned her attention to the smirking Fyre again. "Are you sure you wouldn't take back your words later on? This is a huge movie production and we could sue you if you make trouble for us," She added, completely making Duke speechless and furious. Even though he had a lot of movie invites and he could audition for other projects, he tends to become very competitive and he hated losing so he doesn't want to lose this project where everybody already anticipated that he would take the role of the male lead.

"Yeah, I don't lie in this kind of thing. As long as you throw that bastard out then I'm in," Fyre said, continuing with his triumphant smile. He didn't know he would regret it later on.

"Okay, can you give me a minute to make a call?"

"Sure, take your time." Fyre chuckled and he really liked the feeling of winning that he once again smirked triumphantly towards the actor as if mocking him. At the same time, Duke couldn't take it anymore and suddenly walked out. Julie Walker then followed him, excusing themselves but Fyre didn't care. When it came to Tian Zi, he always lost so he had missed the feeling of winning. Just remembering how Duke Davidson's face dropped and twisted in annoyance, he couldn't help but laugh since it was too funny.

"Tch. That's what you get for picking a fight with me," Fyre whispered to himself, laughing. Truthfully, even if Julie Walker didn't take his side, he would have done something more merciless, taking it as his one last project as the hacker JunkAnime. It's a little disappointing that he couldn't humiliate the actor in public but absolute win felt way better. The latter would be him acting as a sore loser.

Quickly returning to his task, Fyre happily hummed. Since he already mixed all the dry and wet ingredients he needed, all that was left to do was to mold it all into two separate discs and then cut each one into small triangles which he finished quickly. He coated the triangles with heavy cream and sugar and finally, it was ready to be baked. Fyre soon put it in his oven and had nothing else to do but clean his kitchen when he heard his elevator ring again indicating that someone had come. Fyre looked at the direction this time and saw there was only Julie Walker walking in.

"I've talked to my superiors and they agreed. Would you mind if you signed a contract now?" She said with a business smile that caught Fyre completely in shock. He did not expect that the production would be willing to drop Duke Davidson in order to take him in.

"A-Are you fucking crazy? Do you even have the authority to take talents?" Fyre asked in disbelief. Julie Walker was just a manager, she shouldn't have the authority to make decisions and from what he knew, only the director or producer had the authority to do so.

"I represent both the director and producer today but this is also our company wrangling talents for the production. I currently have the full authority to take you. I have the contract now and don't worry, I'm also a lawyer so you don't have to worry about getting deceived," Ms. Walker said and that made Fyre even more stunned. What was a lawyer doing as a talent manager?

"I know you have a lot of questions but if you could just sign the contract here, please. Also, please don't tell me you're backing out because I have recorded your words and we could sue you for declaring such a deal with us. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't like that," Ms. Walker threatened, fishing out a recording device from his pocket and playing it, making Fyre flabbergasted.

[Are you sure you wouldn't take back your words later on? This is a huge movie production and we could sue you if you make trouble for us.] [Yeah, I don't lie in this kind of thing. As long as you throw that bastard out then I'm in.] [Okay, can you give me a minute to make a call?] [Sure, take your time.]

"You see, I had to do all kinds of measures to make you agree. I'm well aware of your connections and you can throw this back at us but I don't think you'd want to undergo such a troublesome process," Ms. Walker smiled again, turning off the recording device making Fyre speechless. This is why he didn't like this woman, she's too sly.

"What a dirty scheme." Fyre uttered in disbelief. It is true that he could still back out from this since it was just a verbal agreement and he hadn't signed anything yet but it is also true that it would be troublesome to deal with the aftermath later on especially because Duke Davidson's name was involved.

"Remi used to say the same thing but please don't divert our topic, I need you to sign the contract today before you find a way to escape," Ms. Walker chuckled while Fyre just groaned. When he said the request earlier, he didn't think it was him who was digging his own grave.

"Fine! But I bet you brought that bastard knowing our personalities would clash," Fyre mentioned, rolling his eyes which only made Julie Walk laugh again. In the end, Fyre signed the contract after reading the clauses thoroughly, requesting additional revisions and while doing so, he suddenly thought of Remi.

'Will you be happy if I fulfill one of your dreams, Remi?'
