13 (12) Love Chase

"Where were you?? I can't believe you still left even after you said you wouldn't," Laura whispered as soon as he saw Tian Zi. She had to look for both Tian Zi and Hanlu since earlier and until now she still couldn't find Hanlu along with Ian, and dinner was already about to start with Daniel's friends on the way.

"I just had something I needed to take care of," Tian Zi replied scratching his head. He can't tell what he was actually doing or else he'll get scolded all night long.

"Ahh, whatever! I'm not even surprised anymore. Anyway, can you just tell me where your older brother Hanlu is?? Daniel had been worried about him after he suddenly walked out, the poor Omega thinks he had offended that foolish older brother of yours," Laura gave up in the end knowing that Tian Zi would never listen to her anyway and instead asked about Hanlu.

"Errr... about that, Older Brother is probably still busy too right now but I doubt Brother-in-Law offended him so you can tell him he didn't need to worry," Tian Zi replied, scratching the back of his head again. He could just imagine the two probably still on top of each other as of this moment.

"What's so important at this moment that he's so busy about?? Isn't Daniel's condition more important at this moment?? The doctor may say he's fine but Daniel is still prone to emotional stress, " Laura said in frustration. She knows she's acting way too dramatic but she truly cares for Daniel's well-being because seeing the Young Omega's face turn sad breaks her heart just as much as when she sees her sons getting hurt.

"Oh, you don't wanna know what he's been so busy about, Mother. Besides I'm sure Brother-in-Law will understand, " Tian Zi said in the end, making Laura sigh.

"Alright. Alright. I'll tell Daniel not to worry about your brother but you go find him and tell him whatever he's doing, he needs to hurry up and come to the garden," Laura instructed before he left patting on Tian Zi's side. Meanwhile, after hearing his Mother's order, Tian Zi face cringed in disgust. Knowing what his Older Brother and his wife are doing, he will never go there again.

"No way I'm going there to tell them to stop fucking," Tian Zi whispered to himself before he started walking. While he did, he looked around unconsciously looking for Maverick who was now silently standing beside his younger and older brothers. Tian Zi stared for a bit and quickly remembered their short session. After the kiss, the Omega ended up jacking him off again because clearly, one time wasn't enough for him but now that he's thinking it, he realized that he didn't even help the Omega come once.

"What a man I am," Tian Zi whispered to himself again before quickly removing his eyes from Maverick knowing he really fucked up. He should have helped the Omega at least once. Both of them agreed to forget everything that happened with no strings attached but now that everything has sunk into his head, he can't forgive himself for only receiving the service when he was the Alpha. He may be inexperienced but he does know how to please his partners. Just how many porn videos did he watch until now?? He already reached expert in this kind of thing.

No choice but to find a place to hide, Tian Zi decided to go into the car to sleep just until it's time and he'll just have to tell his mother that he couldn't find his Older Brother if the couple isn't there yet.

"Don't tell anyone I'm here," Tian Zi simply instructed the driver before he got inside the car and later slam the door close. Of course, since Tian Zi did this a lot since he was 12 years old, the driver already knows what to do as he closed the partition to give the Alpha some privacy. He had been working as a driver for the Mo family for 5 years after the previous retired but this was one of the instructions the previous driver told him so he only followed it. He was specially instructed never to tell anyone even if the whole family was looking for him. This is where the rumor about the Alpha missing mysteriously spread but in reality, the driver was just hiding him in the car until the Young Alpha decided to come out himself.

Finally having some peace, Tian Zi proceeded to lay but as he was doing so, he noticed his mobile phone vibrate indicating that he received a text. Even though he was not the kind who would reply to everyone who texted him especially an unknown number, he was still the kind that would never leave a text unread but as well as too lazy to reply unless he's interested.

"Come and meet me outside, —Fyre," Tian Zi read in his mind frowning because the number was unknown and it was not easy for just anyone to get his number but as soon as he read the name Fyre, he was taken aback.

'What does he mean outside?? Is he outside right now??' Tian Zi thought before he sighed knowing that's probably the case. The Omega is very well-versed in technology especially in the field of tracking. In fact, Tian Zi is even more convinced now that Fyre might be even more knowledgeable than him when it comes to tracking so he's not surprised anymore that Fyre knew that he's here right now.

Initially, he didn't want to see Fyre after what had happened but now that he's thought of it, it's not too bad to go see the Omega and clear some things with him. After all, Fyre could actually help him track their enemy.

Opening the car door again, Tian Zi stepped out without a word and jogged towards the gate. He briefly told the security guard that he was going put for a second and soon he was out of Mo Laotian's property.

Tian Zi looked around looking for Fyre and despite it being dark outside, he immediately saw a small figure that looks like wearing an oversized hoodie standing not far from where he was. There was no one else outside so Tian Zi immediately knew it's Fyre.

"Are you stalking me now??" Tian Zi said as soon as he was 3 meters away from the Omega and he wasn't sure if he was hallucinating it or not but he saw Fyre blush despite the dim-lit alley.

"Y-you wish!! I'm only here because I want to talk to you!" Fyre quickly defended, sounding denial. Tian Zi looked at Fyre raising one of his brows and later he couldn't help but chuckle. Definitely, he wanted to tease the Omega more being that he's too fun to mess with his exaggerated reactions but a lot had happened to him today and he just wants the night to end soon so he could rest already.

"Hmmm, okay if you say so. What do you want to talk about??" Tian Zi replied, taking another step closer.

"I-It's about t-that time!!" Fire said, his voice in a high pitch indicating that he was rather nervous to talk about it.

"Hmmmn, what about it??" Tian Zi asked urging the Omega to continue. He already has a few things in mind what Fyre was trying to say but h didn't want to put the word into the Omega's mouth. Tian Zi looked at Fyre as this time the Omega looked at him sharply but instead of his last time's scrutinizing gaze, right now, it shone rather brightly and very determined.

"F-first of all, I hope you understand t-that I'm not working under someone and that I'm not a spy..." Fyre started stumbling on his words a little. Tian Zi could tell that Fyre wasn't the kind who would swallow his pride especially to someone he didn't like but he absolutely appreciated it despite how much of a tyrant and arrogant Alpha he looks.

"Secondly, I-I want to thank you for helping me that time, and apologize for all I've said about you..." Fire added but the apology didn't sound very sincere as if he still wanted to say more but didn't however Tian Zi appreciate that as well. It's no secret that Fyre had a sharp tongue so he enjoyed seeing the Omega swallow some of his pride. Tian Zi continued to listen, he didn't reply, and instead, he just nodded saying that he understands.

"Lastly, I don't want to owe anyone s-so you better take me as your subordinate for now. I'll help you track down your enemies," Fyre finished still looking at Tian Zi. It took a lot of him to say all this but he finally manages to say it after practicing for days. After what had happened that day, his conscience wouldn't let him sleep unless he thank the Alpha and asks for forgiveness.

"All right. I believe all that you've said. I also apologize for what I did to you. I should've handled the situation better. And for your offer, I don't mind. I acknowledge your skill," Tian Zi replied calmly because truthfully he was at fault too. Additionally, he also felt guilty for almost molesting the poor Omega. Both of them were a victim of their nature but I was not right to blame each other for it. Thinking about things deeply, Tian Zi realized he have matured a bit.

"I'll be counting on you from now on, " Tian Zi said at the end and reached out his hand to handshake Fyre. The Omega was taken aback at Tian Zi's calm demeanor at first but he later also reached his hand for a handshake.

Whether this new friendship will blossom into something else, that'll be for the future to tell.
