What are you?
The young man did not respond at all. He silently gritted his teeth to stop the urge he felt at the scent of Yu Yan's blood. It made him feel restless.
He would use Mǒ qù to erase certain memories if an innocent person gets involve or meets a similar situation to prevent trouble.
After checking Yu Yan's veins and confirming that her blood is normal, the young man let go of her wrist. He continued to stare at Yu Yan's eyes that made her feel creeped out.
Yu Yan had no idea that the reason behind the young man's actions was for him to find out why Mǒ qù did not work on her.
Yu Yan: "..." what's wrong with him?
When she was about to speak again, the young man suddenly stood up and moved a few steps away from her.
Hence, Yu Yan also stood up. But her body stiffened as the young man unexpectedly raised his sword and aimed the tip of its cold black blade at Yu Yan's neck.
Yu Yan was shocked! She did not expect that the young man would suddenly point his sword at her after their close interaction. Afraid of causing a misunderstanding, she did not dare to move at all.
Confused about what was happening, she asked while staring straight into his scarlet eyes; trying to understand his reason.
"What did I do?"
The young man ignored her question and in a deep, cold, and fierce voice, he asked a question that made Yu Yan raise her brows.
"What are you?"
Yu Yan's face turned black like a pot, she felt irritated being asked the same question twice without understanding the reason, "You've asked me the same question twice."
Young man: "..."
Silence started to stretch between the two while they remained at the same position and kept on staring at each others eyes like waiting for something to be revealed.
Without any change from Yu Yan's eyes, it took a couple of minutes before the young man finally decided to retract his sword and said, "Troublesome."
After the words fell on her ears, he suddenly disappeared like a bubble in front of Yu Yan; leaving without a trace.
Yu Yan: "..."
"What's wrong with him?" Yu Yan mumbled to herself. She sighed, a helpless look on her face and looked around until she noticed that the woman's body who was bitten by the 'vampire' was also gone.
What just happened?
Yu Yan took a deep breath, trying to calm her self. She was secretly afraid that the young man would really kill her when he pointed his sword on her neck.
She subconsciously held her neck where she can still feel the coldness of the blade and gulped.
'I thought he will kill me!'
Yu Yan tried to calm herself thinking that she should be thankful that she did not meet any accident because of going out in the middle of the night.
She began to walk home. This time, she was very careful and alert, afraid that she might encounter a similar situation.
While walking, there was curiosity in her heart after encountering the 'vampire.' It was the first time she had seen such a creature who looked human but drinks the blood of a living person.
After she safely arrived at her apartment, the feeling of exhaustion has overcome her body. Yu Yan went straight to the bathroom to wash and change into her usual soft, thin, and red pajamas with tiny bear print all over it.
She went straight to her bed to lay down covering her self with a quilt and leaving her little face out. In just a couple of seconds after she closed her eyes, she did not know that she already fell in deep sleep.
Without noticing that the door to the balcony in her room was open, the air blew the curtain and a young man with silver hair suddenly appeared next to her bed. The young man kept staring straight at her cute sleeping face.
'Her veins are normal.
She's human but why didn't it worked?
What are you?'
