The kiss

Ariadne and Draxan exchanged their rings with each other in front of everyone. The Queen had seen through her daughters plan and personally made them take their wedding vows.

She wouldn't want people to point figures at them later and say that her daughter's wedding was incomplete.

"You may now kiss the groom," the priest announced before everyone else.

Ariadne choked at the words. She didn't want to kiss the male before her, he was not worthy of her if she could say so herself.

She looked to her mother who was glaring daggers at her. She sighed seeing no other choice but to kiss the man.

She moved forward to reduce the distance between them. Lifting her veil slowly, she only let her lips be visible. She could not let him gaze into her eyes during the kiss and she had no plans of kissing him on the lips.

The priest said that she could kiss the groom but he didn't specify where she was to kiss him. Standing so close to him she could feel his hot breath burning through her skin. It was something that she had never known before and found it uncomfortable.

She leaned her head to the left and went to kiss his chin. When Draxan turned his head and met her lips with his.

Ariadne gasped when their lips met, Draxan traced his hand to her waist and pulled her closer to him. He slid his tongue into her mouth and kissed her.

He tastes every inch of her mouth in a passionate kiss, Ariadne's eyes were widen from surprise. She had not expected the male to be bold enough to kiss her like that in front of everyone.

Her heart skidded to a halt as her body weakened in his embrace. The way he held her and the passionate way in which he kissed her made her lose her mind to the pleasure.

Her brain could barely function enough to push him away from her. "Mmm," she let out a man into the kiss.

The sound she made brought her back to her senses. She slowly broke the kiss but he didn't let her go.

"I won't spare you or your pride," Draxan whispered in a deep and hoarse voice in her ear. Her whole body couldn't help but tremble at the shivers that his voice gave her.

Draxan let her go and moved away from her. He could tell by the way the girl was trying to manipulate everything that she was not interested in being with him.

Which made him wonder what could have made her, the princess of Acerradia to accept to marry her when she doesn't like him. If it wasn't for love then for what reason, that is when he had noticed the bracelet on her hand.

It looked familiar to him, he recalled that the girl in the market that he had fought with had an exact bracelet. He confirmed it when she lifted her veil.

He couldn't forget her lips, from when he had met her, he had arched it to memory. And it became more familiar to him after she insulted him with those very lips.

It all made sense to him. He fought with the girl earlier and now he was being forced into marriage. She wanted revenge from him and he wasn't going to give her the satisfaction that he was looking for.

She was going to make certain that she learns that he is capable. He was feeling great after knowing that it was her, using the resources of the palace. He would train better and achieve his goal and join the army.

Today he had not just dominated the kiss but also made her known that he wasn't going to let her off so easily. If the marriage was a challenge then he accepts the challenge and will make certain that she learns to respect him even though he is male.

Ariadne had folded her hand into a fist, she was boiling with anger at what the arrogant boy dared to do to her in front of everyone. No one said a word as it was a festive occasion.

"I now pronounce you wife and husband," the priest said to them.

The wedding had concluded so the people were offered to go and have a meal at the feast that was prepared for them in the garden. Ariadne and Draxan we're led back to the princess's palace.

The queen could sense the anger brewing in her daughter and she didn't want her to cause a scene in front of the guests. They were both escorted to the room that was prepared for them to spend their wedding night.

"Bring Ashrak to me," Ariadne ordered as she entered her room.

Draxan was pleased that he had managed to make her sorry for ruining his dreams by marrying him. Seeing her so angry brought a smile to his face, he stood by the wall in the room and watched her mumbling to herself.

The door opened and the boy that she had asked for walked into the room.

"Remove your shirt," Ariadne ordered of him. She removed the veil on her face and took the whip from the wall.

She hit him on the back shocking Draxan. The male jumped and flinched at the strike.

Ariadne met his eyes and kept whipping the man before her. The whip was made with hooks on them so as she hit him the hooks would pierce his skin and made him bleed.

"Stop it," Draxan screamed unable to bear the sight before him.

"That is for what you did today. As you are my husband I will not harm you but bear in mind that next time you try something like that, someone else will pay the price for your actions," she uttered coldly to him.

"Clean this blood off my room and get out," she ordered of the boy that she had just flogged.

She went to her bed and sat down staring at the frightened face of the man she had married.

Draxan moved to the man and took the cleaning cloth from him, he went on his knees and started to clean the blood himself. Ariadne watched him without a word.

She couldn't really stare at him and not let her eyes gaze at his lips that made feel like she was floating in the clouds.
