That's called romancing

The queen arranged a meal for the newly wedded couple. It was a romantic breakfast, the table was set with all of the princess's favourite food.

Flower petals were arranged from the door to the table to give a lovely entrance. Scented candles were lit on the table to give the room a scent smell.

Ariadne and Draxan were forced to sit opposite to each other on the table to have a meal together. The husband and wife duo were furious at each other.

It was the first day of their wedding and they had already had there very first fight. To make the meal less awkward, the queen got Raya and Izora to join them for the meal.

The man servants served the meal to each of them and left them to their meal. The first few minutes of their breakfast was tense.

Draxan was still angry at the princess for getting angry at him for something that he had not done. The reason behind her anger was unknown to him, it was ridiculous how the woman found it justified to get angry for no good reason.

"So~" Raya began to ease the tension. "The food is nice," her words only made Ariadne glare at her with an icy cold eyes.

This was not the time to play around. Her husband needed to be taught a lesson on respect and how to behave like a man.

His spirit to compete with women was what was making him so daring. She didn't like it one bit and was not going to settle for it.

"You know Izora, I have never been in such an awkward table," Raya said putting in a word in the quite room.

"You are right Raya," Izora agreed with her, it was difficult to breath in that table.

Ariadne and her husband were newlyweds but even a stranger could tell they were indifferent to each other. It wouldn't take a genius to see that they had definitely not consummated their marriage yet.

"They just got married but they act like enemies at war," Raya noted.

Ariadne and Draxan ignored the two of them and just went to clear their dishes. They were too upset to talk or contribute to the dead conversation that Raya and Izora were attempting to have.

She turned her attention to her princess. Her lips had curled up into a naughty smile, she had something in mind that would get the husband and wife to talk to each other.

"Do tell Ari, how was your wedding night?" she asked to her.

"Terrible," Ariadne replied without lifting her head or giving it a thought.

"Was your husband that bad in bed?" Raya inquired stunned by her reply.

Ariadne looked up to her from her plate. She furrowed her eyebrows not getting the question that Raya was asking her. All she knew was that yes, her husband was a terrible man.

He was bad in every way. "Yes," she replied and dropped her gaze once again.

Draxan's eyes went wide with shock. The woman was unbelievable, nothing had happened between the two of them and she was claiming that he was bad in bed.

She was lying to her friends and making him look bad. Her attitude and character disgusted him, she was a two faced woman who couldn't be trusted.

The princess felt the intense stare on her and shot her gaze up. She found Draxan staring daggers at her, he wasn't happy with her.

"If you are tired of your eyes let me know. I will be more than happy to remove them and feed them to you for lunch," Ariadne threatened.

"What do you mean by that?" Draxan said pushing his plate and more food to the ground. The girl in front of her was so good at angering him to the core. He felt hostility toward her for the way she acted just because she could.

Raya and Izora moved aside to give the space to settle their problem. They sneaked out of the room to leave the newly weds alone. They had done their part and now the rest was in their hands.

Ariadne calmly got up from her seat, she matched toward him, the vein on her forehead almost popping. Her anger was evident in her eyes, he had crossed his limits displaying such behavior in front of her friends.

"How dar~" she fell short of words when she slipped off the food that Draxan had thrown to the floor. She fell forward, Draxan moved to catch her but lost balance and the two of them tumbled down to the ground.

Ariadne landed right above him with Draxan holding her by her waist breaking her fall. Draxan's warm hand was touch her skin as her top had moved up a little during the fall.

Ariadne placed her hands on Draxan's chest to push herself up. She raised her head and was able to meet his gaze. Staring into his eyes the strange feeling she felt in the morning returned.

Her skin was warming up from where he was holding her. His eyes so captivating to her heart that it thumped loudly in her chest. Her eyes glued to his, the chemistry between them brought an electric feeling to the both of them.

"Why are you so angry at me," Draxan asked her in a low soft voice. He just wished to know what he had done that she was so mad at him.

"I..you..I~" Ariadne struggled to say. The words were at her throat but she couldn't let them out. She felt so weak when he held her, such weakness was something that she was coming to know only after meeting him.

The way that his simple gentle gaze captivated her was another thing that angered her. She wanted to break the man but she feared that the man was breaking her instead.

It was so strange that she couldn't point what it was about his calm eyes that made her so weak.

"I want to know, please tell me," his melodic hoarse voice sounded in her ears. She shivered feeling a chill ran down her spine.

"You humiliated me this morning," the princess said to him. She explained to him what she meant and the reason that she was so angry at him.

"Darling, I wasn't mocking you," he said. "That's called romancing which is hardly a crime since you are my wife," Draxan let out with a chuckle.
