The Ancient Scroll
She walked towards the wall, leaning closely she can see that the box is a bit too far to reach. She stretched her arms and placed her hands inside the hole to reach for it. That was not easy, she was reaching as far as her arms would allow her and alas! She was able to get hold of the box and she pulls it towards her direction. She opened the box to make sure that the thing inside it is the scroll she was tasked to find.
Once she opened the box a roll of cloth like paper with a small tie holding it together was carefully placed in that container. She then took the scroll to examine it, while she was getting it out, the scroll slipped through her hands causing the tie to loose and it rolled out revealing symbols and writings she never seen before. She remembered what the Makarov told her "Do not open the scroll no matter what" Her eyes grew round, big and wide in panic but before she can even react, a magic circle appeared below her where she stood perfectly in the center, and curse seal came out from the scroll wrapping her body as the light engulfs her.
"Hey Natsu what is that light?" Lucy asked pointing towards it, without saying a word Natsu ran towards it knowing that it is where Erza went and Lucy immediately followed. "Gray-san is that where Erza-san went?" Wendy told Gray. "We better check her out, I knew I shouldn't have let her go alone, I won't forgive myself if something happens to her" he stated as both of them sprinted to the direction of the light. It was so bright- the lights blazed towards the silent sky. They moved in great swaying bands of color like a living organism. The colors were utterly brilliant and pure. The vibrant shades were in perpetual motion, dancing, flowing, and changing shades.
There was a black hole forming on top of the scarlet mage as she was being sucked up into it, "Erza!!!" Gray shouted as he reached for her, "Gray!!!" she screamed as she tries to catch his hands, it was so close that their fingers touched but not enough to grab her back. He jumped to try to get her but the blackness swallowed her and disappeared in front of them. "What the hell was that?" Natsu asked, "Where did Erza-san go?" asked Wendy as tears slowly form in her eyes. "Damn it! I was too late" Gray stated with frustration and guilt. Lucy stayed silent as she looked so worried. "Let's go and check for clues" said Carla "aye sir!" happy answered.
They examine everything that is inside that place trying to find any clue that would explain what just happened. Gray found the box on the floor and the scroll which is now blank. "What now?" He said to himself. "We need to head back to the guild and tell master what happened here" Natsu exclaimed. "Let's ask levy to examine that box and scroll, maybe she can find a reverse spell or something" Lucy suggested. Happy grabbed Natsu and he grabbed Lucy and fly. Carla then carried Wendy and she carried Gray following Happy in the flight. "Hang in there Erza, I swear I'll come for you, I will find you and get you back to fairy tail so you don't have to cry alone ever" Gray whispered.
Erza was caught in a trance, she feels like she was spinning and swirling in the vast of nothingness, she cannot see anything except distorted abstract figures and bright light with different colors as she floats away.
