Surprise

I woke up the next day. The baby wasn't next to me but after a few minutes, I found him in his crib. I looked at him for a minute then went to take a shower. I cleaned up then went back into the room and stared down at my baby. There was a crack and I turned to see Wings. "Wings?" I questioned.

He looked at me. "I have a message for you from Loro."

I blinked. "What were you doing near Loro?"

"He captured me."

"Oh. Are you okay?"

"Fine. Now can I say the message?"

"Of course."

"'I heard you had your baby. So I've come to a decision. Instead of giving yourself to me, I want you to give me your baby. If you do I will leave you alone. You have forty-eight hours to come to a decision. Meet me at the park when this time ends.' End of the message." My legs gave out and I landed on the bed. He gave me a dark look. "Do you have a message for him?"

"No," I whispered.

"Fine." He disappeared.

Tears started to roll down my cheeks. How did Loro find out? Did he have someone watching the monastery? I put my head in my hands and tried to stop the flow of tears. I wouldn't let him take my baby. I wouldn't but what if he just has someone he knows break in? Dammit! Loro is just like Liam. I heard the door open. "Y/n?" My husband said. I felt him sit beside me. "What's wrong?"

"Loro," I whispered looking at him.

He stiffened. "What about him?"

"He captured Wings and made him deliver a message to me."

"What was the message?"

"He knows about Jonathan. He'll leave us alone if we give the baby to him."

He wrapped his arms around me. "Jonathan is safe here, Y/n. I promise."

"What if he breaks in?" I whimpered and dug my head into his shoulder as I started crying again.

He rubbed my back. "Shh," he said soothingly. "It will be okay. He won't get our child. If he breaks in, he'll have us to deal with."

Jonathan started crying. I disentangled myself from Lloyd and went over to the crib. "Hey," I said softly as I picked him up. I started rocking back and forth trying to soothe him even though my emotions weren't calm. "Shh," I whispered gently. "It's okay. Mama's here." Lloyd cleared his throat. I gave him a small smile. "And so is daddy."

Lloyd came and stood beside me. "Maybe he's hungry?"

I sighed and sat down again. Then started feeding him. Lloyd sat beside me again. Jonathan's eyes were open as he fed. "Green eyes," I murmured. "Like you," I added to Lloyd.

"Hmm, his hair looks dark," Lloyd said.

I snorted. "It is dark, you pain. You can tell even if it's only a little fuzz." I thought about what they call it. "I think they call it ink-black or maybe raven-black hair. Hmm."

"Um..." He looked at me. "I hate to say it but both of those are just black."

I made a face. "You have no taste in color."

He shrugged. "My wife is the decorator. Not me."

I chuckled. "I know."

"Y/n, I will not let Loro harm our child. We'll come up with a plan and..."

"I think I already have one," I interrupted.

He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Care to share it?"

"He wants to meet me in the park after my forty-eight-hour time frame is up. We could all go and maybe capture him there?"

Lloyd thought about it. "I suppose. But what about his spells? That will really fuck with us."

I nodded. "I know. Which is why I'm going to get out the bracelets that I made that have my power stored in them. Each of you will wear one and they will make sure none of his spells will work on you."

"Okay." He stood. "Then I'll go let the Ninja know."

"Um, Lloyd?"

"Hmm?"

I tilted my head to our closet. "The bracelets are in there. I would get them but I'm kind of stuck."

Lloyd went to the closet and found the bracelets. "I'll go hand these to the Ninja and tell them the plan." He came back over to me and kissed me quickly. "I'll be right back."

"Okay." He left the room. I looked down at Jonathan. "Your daddy is one brave person. Though I kind of wish he hadn't cursed in front of you," I muttered.

"Hola princesa," a tiny female voice said.

One that I recognized. I turned without jarring the baby. "Hydra?" I whispered as my eyes landed on the lizard.

She nodded. "It took me forever to find you." Her eyes landed on Jonathan. "Care to catch me up?"

"Oh, sure. Um, I died, the First Spinjitsu Master brought me back, I have a pet dragon, I married Lloyd, Liam is dead, I had a baby, and Loro, Liam's stepbrother, wants to take my baby away from me." I paused. "He wanted me originally but he said he'll leave us alone if we give Jonathan to him."

"And I'm going to assume the baby's is Jonathan?"

I smiled. "Yes." I looked at the baby and saw he was asleep. I quickly put him in his crib and then went to Hydra. "Hydra, I'm so sorry. I hope you're okay."

She shrugged. "It wasn't that bad. I got flung into a garden that was two hundred miles from Ninjago." She sighed. "Takes forever when you're running on tiny legs."

I scooped her up. "I really am sorry.

"I know."

I frowned. "You're tail is smaller than it was last time."

"Oh, it got ripped off by a dog. It will grow back," she added when she saw my face.

"Oh, this is all my fault. I should have slipped you in my pocket before I told Liam how it was going to be."

"From what I heard, he didn't stick to the deal."

"He didn't," I agreed. "That's when I died though and Lloyd went into a rampage because of it."

She snorted. "Sounds like you're the only on for him."

I smiled and nodded. "And he's the only one for me."

"Good."

The door opened and Lloyd came in. "Lloyd! Look who's here," I said holding out my cupped hands to show him Hydra.

His eyes landed on her. "Oh, boy," he muttered. "Well, I guess that's a good thing."

"It's a great thing!"

"I don't think he likes me," Hydra informed me.

I looked from her to Lloyd and back again. "Lloyd, is that true?"

He frowned. "What? I can't understand her, remember?"

"Oh, right." I quickly pulled out one of the things Pixel made.

Hydra gave it a wary look. "What's that?"

"It will allow everyone to understand you so I don't have to translate all the time," I explained.

"Oh, okay." I slipped it on and she turned to Lloyd and said, "You don't like me, do you?"

He sighed. "It's not that I don't like you. It's the fact that I searched for you for a long time and couldn't find you. Then suddenly you're here and I feel like a complete idiot."

"Maybe because you are."

"Hydra!" I exclaimed.

"What?" She said innocently. "He is."

"Isn't. He isn't an idiot. Now both of you better be nice to each other or I'm putting you in a cage, Hydra," I said firmly.

She blinked. "A cage?"

"Yes."

She groaned. "Fine."

"Good." I turned to Lloyd. "So what did they Ninja say?"

"They want all of us to come up with a way to grab Loro," he said.

"Okay. Let's go." I put Hydra on my shoulder, picked up the baby, put him in Lloyd's arms, and left the room.
