Welcome to The Main House

The main entrance opens wide just for the black Hummer to drive into the wide courtyard of Kim's Mansion. All of the family members, dressed in navy blue jump out of the car and gather around in the foyer of the mansion.

"Welcome home, young masters!" an old man, not more than 70 years old greets them with a bunch of men who dress up in white shirts and black pants. They form two lines; left and right, and bow at them all at once.

Reese, who dons a navy blue summer coat with a white sleeveless dress shirt underlying, and baggy navy blue pants gives them a small bow. Behind her stand Taesan and Taeyang, both in navy blue dress shirts and black pants. Then, Gi, who firmly stands in the middle of them is wearing a navy blue t-shirt under a navy blue leather jacket and wash-out jeans.

"We have prepared our best for your visit, Young Master Reese..."

"There is no need for a big feast. I came here to attend the meeting," says Reese. Although her voice sounds firm, her gesture tells otherwise. Yong Huang is her father's most trusted assistant whom she has known ever since she was a little girl.

"Stop saying that. You're always welcome home, Young Master..." the man gracefully bows at her. Reese glares at Jimin and So. Jimin, who is in a white t-shirt, navy blue denim jacket, and jeans quickly moves closer while holding baby Jung In in his arms. So dresses up in his bodyguard suits, and skims around, in his guard 24 hours.

"Uncle Huang, this is my daughter. Kim Jung In," Reese introduces her to Yong Huang. The man smiles and bows to the baby.

"The baby is cute, just like you, Young Master..." he says. Reese smiles. It's a formal conversation to be precise. Reese knew he had a lot of things to ask. But no one dares to question Jung In's status.

"Shall we?" Reese asks her convoy. They nod in tiny.

With that, Yong Huang ushers them to the meeting room where everyone gathers.

The lake streams silently as the afternoon wind blows gracefully, sweeping the strands of hair that cover her forehand. Reese watches the cloud floating in the sky. Her heart feels heavy.

"Weary?"

A voice from behind makes her startled. She turns around only to find Mino standing at the entrance of her room with a smile on his face.

"You're here too?" she asks, a shock visible on her face.

"Your dad asked me to join the tea party after the meeting. So, here I am..." he looks around. Jung In is fast asleep on the futon. The rest of the family is nowhere to be found.

"May I come in?" he asks politely. Reese nods. Her sight is back to the view in front of her. Mino enters the room, crossing the wooden floor bedroom, straight to the balcony outside. The place where Reese is chilling right now.

"What's in your mind right now?" a sudden question from Mino makes Reese chuckle. A fresh leaf that she holds drops into the water of the lake.

"I don't know. I couldn't stop thinking if I was a bad person. Although my intention is good, somehow deep inside I know, my act won't justify my cause," Reese puts her head down, mustering her courage to hold her emotion. She hates crying, especially in front of a person that she considers a stranger.

Like Mino.

"We can't choose a family, Reese. I wish my father was a teacher instead of a ring leader and mafia boss," he chuckles for a while, trying to imagine how his father would look like if he were a teacher.

"Students might be afraid of him. He got a huge ass charisma," Reese laughs as well. Mino shakes his head in disbelief. He laughs in tiny and grins widely while watching Reese leisurely allow her imagination to take over her mind.

"He is probably a favorite among his students," says Mino.

"Really?"

"Master Kang might look like a sharp dagger from the outside. But, he's a good father. He cares a lot about us. He knows how hard it is to be a mafia. That's why when I told him I wanna out of the business, he accepted my decision," while talking about his father, Reese notices that Mino keeps smiling. His eyes are full of sparkle.

He loves his father so much!

"Of course you are. He supports you in your dream and he never forces you to join the clan. Imagine if he did otherwise. Would you love him the same way?" asks Reese.

Mino smiles, staring at the view in front of him. He takes a deep whiff.

"I love him just the same," he replies.

After that, both of them fall into silence. Enjoying the view of the lake in front of them.

"There is so much to learn from you, anyway!" Reese breaks the silence. Mino chuckles as he gazes at her.

"You have to be a part of it, then you will understand..."

"Are you hitting on me?" Reese gives him a sharp glare.

"It depends on your interpretation," Mino replies, and brings himself closer to Reese. "And yes, I'm hitting on you now," he softly whispers to her.

"What's the importance of this?" the man asks Taesan. He shows his dimple at him.

The man looks at the piece of paper handed by the third-eldest of the Kim Clan.

"I don't know. I'm just a messenger," Taesan replies.

"Why me?" the man asks him back.

"Jackson, you're the it man when it comes to property business. And we're talking about both legal..." Taesan slowly leans closer to him. "And underground as well..."

Both of them exchange glares.

"No need to whisper. We're not in the middle of the City Council. Everybody knows my business anyway," Jackson gives him a snarky look. Taesan laughs, showing his white teeth.

"So... Let's catch up a bit. How's Ji Seok Hyung?" hearing the question, Taesan sheepishly grins at Jackson.

"Same ol' pal..."

"Speed up your game, bro! What's with the passive mode!" Jackson smacks Taesan's shoulder.

"Jack, I'm not a beast like you. You can drag any human of your choice, force them on their knees, and make them yours at gunpoint," he smiles, watching the view from the resting area. "Ji Seok Hyung is different. One mishap, and he'll kiss me goodbye. He did it once, he'll go twice," he continues.

"So, you gonna let him dance around in front of you and done nothing?" asks Jackson. Taesan lifts his shoulder and lets out a huge sigh.

"I need to pull the string slowly..."

"You better be fast, pal. Ji Seok is the man that everyone desires. You have the expressway straight to him. Don't let him slip away," Jackson pats his best friend's shoulder. "I mean, look at Gi Hyung. Once he locks on Jimin, he goes all out..."

Jackson points his finger at Gi and Jimin, who are staring and talking to each other from the balcony, just across from them. Gi pulls on the jacket that Jimin wore, trying to cover the poor boy's body from the sight of the public.

"They were fighting again... Jeez..."

"I see love from here," Jackson giggles. Taesan shakes his head in tiny, and slowly draws a smile on his face.

"Hyung, stop wrapping my body! I'm not a mummy!" Jimin swats away Gi's hand from his body.

"Why are you wearing this?"

"You told me to wear matching clothes!"

"I should just let you wear your baggy hoodie! Now everyone is staring at your chest!" Gi pulls the left and right sides of Jimin's denim jacket to cover the boy's body.

"Hyung, stop it!" Jimin tries to resist. In the end, Gi grabs his collar and pulls the boy closer to him.

"Hyung..."

"I won't let anyone take a peek at what's mine..."

Jimin turns pink at the instant. He immediately shakes the naughty thought from his mind.

"I know your game, Hyung! I'm not gonna let you tick your daily checkbox today!" Jimin gives him a sneaky grin. He won't give in.

Not today! Not a chance!

As he thought Gi would throw a silly smile and laugh, just like almost all the time when the man teases him like a goal of the day, today he just kept staring at Jimin with his serious face. Jimin still wearing his grin, unaware of how serious the man is.

Until he opens his mouth and says...

"Jimin, I asked permission from my father to marry you," Gi calmly caresses his cheek. "And he said yes."

Jimin's jaw drops as he stutters in Gi's arms. The boy pushes him away a bit.

"What do you mean, Hyung?!"

"I'm going to marry you soon. All I need is your grandma's permission..."

"Hyung..."

"Jimin... Be mine,"

Jimin's lips shake violently. This is too sudden! He tries to digest the whole information but somehow his brain is toasted.

Softly, Gi pulls Jimin closer. He holds on to the boy's neck, lowers his head down, and plants a kiss on his forehead. Then, he stares at Jimin, who is in a mess right now.

"Are you in shock?" Gi asks. Jimin nods a bit. Gi pulls him in a tight hug and rubs his back softly. He let go a deep sigh, but then slowly burst.

"Ah. I wish I recorded this! Your face...!" Gi laughs his lungs out. Jimin, who realizes that once again the older manages to tease him, pushes Gi away from him.

"Hyung! You prank me again!"

Gi can't hold his laughter anymore. Jimin is getting angrier. He stomps his feet and fleet away from the room.

Gi continues laughing. He is happy that the goal for the day has been successful, as usual. But deep down, he smiles sheepishly, wondering if that's how Jimin looks like when he proposes to the boy soon. His pink cheek and pouty lips will hunt him in his dream.

"God! I can't wait for the day, Minnie-ya..." he sighs as he takes out a baby blue velvet box from his pocket. He opens the box and checks the content.

"I'm getting a husband, ma... Are you proud of me?"

Slowly, tears roll from his eyes as he watches the blue sky, missing the presence of his mother.
