1 The Grand-ish Opening

It was a rather cloudily evening. So cloudily that the sun wasn't visible in the sky but not a single raindrop could be seen or heard from ether. Mostly everyone was inside at this time of day, ether having dinner with there families or watching TV that could be heard from afar. Truly a typical day in the streets of New York City, just without any rats visible at this time of day. On this day however, near two very busy sandwich shops was a building that looked different from the rest. The buildings here looked more typical with grey paint, windows with different styles but this building was different. It looked black from the outside with plain red flags hanging from it and it was the tallest building on it's street with it overlooking some of the streets past the one it rested on. Just then, a truck parked next to this building as two men with grey uniforms stepped outside the truck and opened the back. They then began to take out what was in the back of the truck witch turned out to be simple furniture such as a nightstand and a small chair. Just then, a red hatchback pulled up near the truck and the passengers began to walk out of the car. Out walked a man who looked to be in his 40's who was wearing a suit and a tie and was looking rather fashionable, a women who looked to be in her 40's as well who was on her phone, a teenager who looked to be around 17 or 18 as he was playing on what looked like a switch and was putting all his focus on it and a girl who was reading a book and refusing to look up from it. "I see you made it here on time", the man said in a smooth voice. "Yes we did. Now where would you like us to place this furniture?", One of the movers asked. "Take everything inside and we will see what belongs where", the women said. "Will do", the men said as they started to move all the furniture into the building one by one. They were sweating like crazy doing this but one by one, they were getting the furniture into the building. "Now kids, isn't our new home grand?", the women said as she was trying to get the kids to look up for once. "Cool. It's a building. Just like every other one in this city", the teenager said as he didn't even lift an eye from his game. "Not now, this is the best part", the girl said as she was also too invested in her book to look up at the building, nor did she really care all that much. "Well i think it looks like our new home and it will be soon enough", the man in the suit said with a fairly happy voice. "I couldn't agree more", the women said in a happy tone. "Will you two can it with the couple talk?", The teenager said. "We get it. You got married. It's getting old really quickly, like you both." "Now now, Leo. What did we say about that tone of yours's?", The women asked with an angered voice. "I don't know. What did say about our freedom?", Leo replied with an annoyed voice, still didn't look up from his game nor did he want to anyway. "Yeah i give up on this one", The man said with defeat in his voice. "Works every time", Leo said as he continued to focus on his game. "Alright, it's just like he said, it's a building", the girl said with a little sprinkle of optimism in her voice. "But this is going to be our home now", The women said. "Remind me, why did we move from a perfectly good home to a city know for getting destroyed all the time and having rats and homeless people?", Leo said in an annoyed tone. "Kinda have to agree with him on this one. We were perfectly fine back in New Jersey you know", the girl said as she defended Leo. "I thought we made it clear, your father wants to expand his business to the country and what better state to to that in besides the one we stand in right now?", The women said with a happy tone. "Every other state in this country", Leo said as he lost his constriction and died in his game witch gave him what he needed to look up and see the outside for once. "Well we already have our permit to open shop here so there isn't any going back now", The women said. "Yippie i guess", Leo said in a sarcastic tone. "Ok sir, we got all the furniture inside", the movers said with small amounts of sweat visible on there foreheads. "Thanks a bunch, now lets take a look inside and see where we would like you to place them", The man said. "Alrighty then", The movers said as the six of them headed inside and headed upstairs to where the apartment was. "Ok then, the family room will be here, the kitchen will be there and the bedrooms along with bathrooms will be upstairs", The man said. "Alright", the movers said as the moved the furniture into the correct rooms one by one. "Say honey, could you show the kids to the store and see if everything is ready for opening day?", The man said. "Sure thing Donald", the women said. "Thanks Jessica", Donald said as Jessica took the kids to the store down below. "Why are we here again?", Leo said. "Opening day isn't for 18 more hours or something." "Now now, your father wants to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow", Jessica said. "So you want us to do a check i suppose", The girl said. "That's right Alex", Jessica said. The three of them then did a final check of the store and everything was ready for tomorrow. Around this time as well, the movers had moved the furniture into there spots and headed out. The four of them then went to bed in there new home and were ready to open tomorrow, not aware of who they were about to dominate. . .
