1.55 Home

I wake up in the middle of a foul-smelling den, my hands tied. Men and women, some of whom are familiar, sneer as they hazily surround me. My head pounds like crazy, and my heart even more so as I realize where I am. I don't know the exact place where we are, but I'm back with Black Dawn. Back in the hell that I've been running from all these years. My gaze goes blurry and I try not to let the tears spill down my face.

"Oh, good. You're awake." Uncle Fern spits at me, waving my phone at me. My eyes blearily travel to it, trying to process everything around me. "This thing just kept ringing and ringing."

I try to support my own weight, lifting myself off the ground, "Where am I?"

"Home, of course." Uncle Fern replies, deliberately skirting the answer to my question.

I snarl at him, "This is not my home."
